you know i strum the open notes aswell and then its sounds a little off the tone but i can perfectly hear the tune in it and the speed is also almost evenly matched ( i suck at pull-offs and hammer-ons so you think this is a problem that anoyes people

i can almost ace this but my crappy fender starcaster ( NOT STRATOCASTER ) has very low strings and when i pull off, u cant here the open note. ANY IDEAS HOT TO FIX please

hey. you can higher the strings as far as i know where the bridge is there should be a screw for each string. if you turn those they alter the height of the strings

angus usually picks even the open string notes, which is much harder but sounds better.

Although I'm pretty sure it's played all by tapping (as is the video and live performances), I actually preffer this picked sound. I'll have to try it out. It sounds more much more ballsy having that initial pick attack being hard and the pulloffs being softer. Otherwise when I play it being tapped it all sounds soft.  Who knows, maybe it was recorded like this originally but then Angus opted not to pick for the video/live because it looks cooler to play with one hand.

Actually, it doesn't sound exactly the same. It's like hybrid (sometimes called economy) picking: it doesn't sound like regular picking.

But who cares?! It's music ! "Little Wing" by the Hendrix was covered thousands of times, never the exact same, and still some covers get 500K views and only great comments and rates, because it sounds good !

People who play Mark Knopfler with a pick are not idiot! They just don't use to play with their fingers.

Yeah, I know some people make a big deal outta picking. I've seen this one guy did a cover to Babe Im Gonna Leave You by Led Zeppelin and a buuunch of people were saying stuff like "Oh, Jimmy Page finger picks, you're doing it wrong".

But GREAT tutorial, I honestly find it easier to use a pick. Cuz if you fingertap the whole thing ya gotta turn the amp up
