This was indeed a treat. A tasty tasty treat. Should squash those rumors that the BCR did not sing or play their own music. You can see and hear them quite clearly on this performance. They sound amazing!  Has anyone read Les' book? Some journalist woman also wrote her own about her teenage years following them around with her friends. It was pretty amusing. She slept with one of them but wouldn't say who, but it sounds like it was Woody. Said they were potheads. Ha ha.

one of my old pen pals had a letter from pat's mother and she said that tam tried to rape pat who fought him off and threatened to call the cops. tam then kicked pat out of the group. pat then learned the contract he signed-without reading-said he was only an "employee" of the group and could lose his "job" whenever tam saw fit. it also said any songs he wrote would be the sole property of the group. that's why he never got credit for "sweet virginia"!

When I was 1. my bedroom wall was covered with BCR posters and pictures from the teen magazines. Now that I am 42, I still love to listen and sing along to these songs.
