it's not about how fast they go in a certain gear it's how fast they get to the top speed that matters typical yute speaking you imagine your golf does 110 in3rd and a scooby does 110 in 4th ibet the scooby gets to 110 quicker than the golf so it doesn't matter how fast they go in 3rd or 4th its the time they take I had a 1.3 Astra e reg it did 74 in second and 102 in 3rd but it took about 3 days to get there does that mean its quicker than the golf or scooby duh no!
These transmissions strapped to the VR6 engine are effine great. 110mph in 3rd gear? thats really impressive considering i purchased a 2009 impreza 2.5i nothing special 170 hp which my 3rd gear hits 80. while 4th hits 110. sort of sad.
@fridgelamp Mine personally I've had plenty of issues with it. So far I've had to have all 4 wheel bearings changed, Rear calipers are seized up, Misfire on cylinder bank 1, FR ABS sensor went bad, and there is really bad rust on the strut towers and floor pan. If you decide to buy one watch the VIN numbers and don't buy the VW's made in Mexico. Mine has 137,000 miles and I question how much further it can go while my buddy in Munich, Germany has the 4cyl Diesel and his has a little over...
@chewser117 I have the jetta vr6 97 with 164xxx miles and it doesn't being a problem for me I live in chicago, the only i need to replace is the 2 ball joints and 1 wheel bearing, it says is made in mexico but assembly for USA regulations and specs. Too bad that have plenty issues any car eventually will have issues, some more some less. nice vid
@fridgelamp The only thing power adder is a Remus muffler but thats only a couple hp. Otherwise its stock. It probably could have went faster but I was steering and recording with one hand and shifting with the other and on top of that trying to pull of the shoulder of the highway. I'll try and post a new video once I get an alignment done and a camera mount.

Hey Quick question! Did you change the speedometers backround to white? If so is it hard to make the gauges not fuck up when you put them back in?

Thank's for replying!
Have you had any issues with the car since you bought it, or has it been reliable?
BTW: Nice one handed shifting.

@chewser117 All the Golf III has rust issues, thats a big problem on that model. But besides that, I think they are a good ride.
