Now, I didn't call you an idiot, did I? in the northern region of my state they have plenty of Mexican wolves. These wolves are rather scrawny. They also can be mistaken for coyotes when seen for a brief second.

Wolves aren't thin, they have long, bushy fur, more grey than often anything else. You can also tell that these are wolfdogs, because of that greyish/black wolf. Wolves with black pelts are created through a mutation that occurs in wolf/dog hybridisation. That one is definitely not a wolf. And more than likely, neither is that white dog.
Actually that's not entirely true. Wolves slim down considerably for the summer, often loosing up to 15-20lbs, in addition to shedding their full winter coat. Wolves are also very lean animals- most, even males, weighing under 100lbs. They are meant to be agile- very narrow and long legs.

you know, after reading a lot of these posts, I realized there are still a lot of you out there still with the assumption that wolves and dogs are different? studies have proven they are of the same species and can be vaccinated with the rabies vaccine (only reason there's still skepticism is because there hasn't been a full-on trial of a kennel full of wolves due to numbers, captivity, etc.) ALL domesticated dogs were wild wolves about 14,000 years ago - native americans not only managed (cont)

She's half Arctic wolf and half MacKenzie Valley white timber wolf. But she's all wolf. She's one of eleven puppies. She suffers from some neuro-muscular disease. She leans against me, falls down, rolls over, and after I rub her belly about fifteen minutes, she seems to be OK. This happens every day.

My aunt kept a beautiful pure bred timber wolf for years. Nyla was sooo sweet! If anyone came to the house and my aunt wasn't worried she'd wag her tail like a dog and make... SOME form of noise, I still don't know what that was xD and come right to them. If my aunt didn't want them there... Well, let's just say many people ended up screaming and running for miles xD ahh, poor Nyla, if my state hadn't changed those laws she would probably still be here T_T Wolves are awesome.

They look like half wolves or wolf mixes. My aunt had a half and a 3/4 wolf. The half wolf looked a lot like the grey one.

sadly, there's always someone out there in online-world that has a stick stuck somewhere south of the sunshine... claiming only idiots think these are wolves??? being with animal control for over 3 years and experienced with hybrids for 20 years, I can attest to these animals having a high percentage of wolf just by their head-size/coat/body stature/etc. 80% - 100% isn't much of a difference when comparing wolf or wolf crosses. and for the record, this isn't a black wolf, idiot - it's grey. =)

@iluvyouwyatt Then maybe you should know that wolves wouldn't have such scraggly short fur, nor would they be so thin and scrawny. Wolves aren't thin, they have long, bushy fur, more grey than often anything else. You can also tell that these are wolfdogs, because of that greyish/black wolf. Wolves with black pelts are created through a mutation that occurs in wolf/dog hybridisation. That one is definitely not a wolf. And more than likely, neither is that white dog.

Actually that's not entirely true. Wolves slim down considerably for the summer, often loosing up to 15-20lbs, in addition to shedding their full winter coat. Wolves are also very lean animals- most, even males, weighing under 100lbs. They are meant to be agile- very narrow and long legs.
