Thanks for the vid I´m from Colombia, I´m afrolatina but in Colombia there isn´t information about how can I care my hair and use it in a natural way.
You talk so fast! But i understand every word your saying. This vid was great. My hair is very similar to yours when it comes to texture and density. Your accent is too funnyyyy! But I love that style!
I love the energy in your video! I have the same hair type so it's encouraging to see how cute it can be styled. Oh and the Stewie doll in the background is an added bonus lol!
"this works best when your hair is wet, it dont gotta be drippin' all in yo eye.. but damp won't work. make sure your hairs wet wet wet. ----i guess it's gonna be drippin' in yo eye."
I wanted to thank you for tutorials like this. I'm white myself so I don't need to use all the extra oils and butters but I do a very light twisting [one strand twisted around all the way down, gel holds it in place while it dries] and my naturally wavy/curly in some places/frizzy/wish I had someone else's hair, turns out curly, smooth and beautiful. <3 So thank you!
look at Stewie in the back super chillin'!!!! LMAO. other than that, you are gorgeous and I'm so gonna try that hairstyle!!!!! if it doesn't work for me, I will always know that it worked for you!!!! Love your hair !!!!
Just wanted to say thanks for such a great video. I tried this ,method over the weekend, and my twist out was luscious! The castor oil worked wonders on my hair as well... Btw I'm in VA too, Williamsburg... !!
OMG! Where have you been all my youtube life!!!! You seem so cool and down to earth, and super funny!!! (I notice the spelling) I enjoy watching you, thanx for the vids! :~)
I'm sorry, no matter how many time I listen to the names of the products you use I don't understand the names. Can you give me a list of the products that you use? The shampoo, conditioner, and anything else to achieve the look. I love the way your hair looks and it looks healthy and fun to wear. I have natural hair but I have it blown out and flat ironed and now I can't exercise because of course I will sweat it out, ill! thanks for the video.
Great idea for how to wear the twistout. I think I will try this look in the future as I hate the shape of my hair with it hanging so much longer on the bottom (because of shrinkage, my top being a kinker texture). I think wearing it pulled up like that will help the style last longer as well. This is a great look on you!
Hey Rachelle, thanks for posting this! I am so glad you did because I always wondered how you styled your hair this way. One question that I have is have you done this style without taking your twists down and did it look the same? i have mini twists right now and I will try it and see how it comes out for me.
LOVE your videos. My thick hair is 6 inches past my shoulders when blown out, it is up to my ear when wet. Each time I've tried a braid or twist out (always unsuccessful), I've had to rubber band my ends. I notice you don't band your ends. Do your twists unravel? How long does it take for your hair to air dry? Do you also dry with a diffuser or under a hooded dryer? Thank you for sharing and encouraging! Blessings to you!
Yes! I've been wondering how you were doing that. I always love your hair... now I'm going to try it with my hair (it's super thick 4c hair). Thanks for doing this video... gotta run out and get some more Healthy Hair Butter. That's actually what I started out with. Love it! :)
Yay! A new natural hairstyle for me to try!! Although I just started this whole natural hair process about a month ago and are still growing my relaxer out. Will this work on short hair?
omg my daughter just looked at your vid & told me "hummm you too look alike" ! ! ! Best compliment EVER cause i find you so beaaaauuutiful ! and u know what ppl say... truth comes out of kids mouths, looool
i love it & can't wait 2 go natural you inspire me ! ! ! luv u sis
THANK YOU FOR THIS BORDERHAMMER I LOVE YOU YOUR AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL I THIS TWISTOUT IS THE BEST IVE EVER SEEN AND IT MAYBE MY SIGNATURE TWISTOUT NOW LOL LOVE YOU CONTIUE TO MAKE VIDEOS
I love my hair....but man, seem like i twist for ever..(hence I only did half of my head once) THICK THICK....but I will try this on Sunday. This might be the key to my weekly hair. Please tell how you tie it up at night? Pineapple method?
Really cute look! Thanks for the tip on moisturizing, might have to give those products a shot. If you don't mind a suggestion, though, maybe next time put a light colored towel or cloth of some sort over the back of your chair? All the dark color behind your hair makes it a little hard to see.
i love this..i always wondered how u got that style and this is a much easier way for me to achieve this look than the other different ways i saw it done.
Wait. Wait. Wait... 1.5 to 2 weeks? Without re-twisting or anything? Do you get lots of single strand knots when you wear your hair out for long periods? I do :-( Puh-leez advise. I think I may try your method and see how it works for my hair.
@AfroTee LOL yep. nope no retwisting just spot twist here n there if needed. The hair close to the scalp may get a little frizzy but I like that- gives fullness. The ends stay put! I'll have maybe one or two tangles nothing serious (usually from shed hair) just make sure when you oil your hair that you smooth it out from the root to the ends (I clap my hands at the base of the hair and pull out to make sure the curl at the bottom doesn't get tangled.
GIRL YOUR HAIR HAS GROWN! I remember the day you got the scissors and did your big chop. I'm doing 2yrs of protective styles I make 1yr 9/7/11 but when I get done with my self cahllenge I will do this one it's so cute yet so simple.
Your twist out looks exquisite. Have you considered doing a video with your daughter who is also natural since she is a teenager and coming up with a few back to school natural hairstyles?
As another alternative to castor oil have you tried vegetable glycerine, it works really well, is light and keeps the moisture in for a couple of days when applied with water in a spray bottle.
hey girlie i remember when you did your big chop, you hair has grown a lot. i like the curls and style. you even look good without the makeup, not many of us can
The 1st product I ever tried for twists wen I went natural was CD's Loc Butter. I LUUVVED that stuff. Great sheen n awesome hold. I'm in luv with Afroveda right now. I think I may go bak to Carol's Daughter but the smell is very strong n I kinda got sick of it.
Wow I didn't know your hair was that long because I have never seen it all down its so pretty and healthy and I think your hair is more of a 3 because its so fine either way its beautiful
thxs for making the video. i love how u pinned your hair up. can't wait to try the style. also ur hair has grown so much. love the oil in the lid idea, i will for sure be doing that as well. god bless!
I am thinking about getting twists or even locs. Just in a space in elevation right now and wanting to go to the next level on my journey. Found a place that I got a very good vibe from, so I am considering making that move next month
@Kengikat Ooh I think you would look great with locks! I totally get that. I considered locks but I don't think my hair is thick enough :( wong wong wonnnng. Can't wait to see what you decide

Could you do a tutorial on that or at least upload that particular portion of ur twist out process from this video. 2)Also, could u do the tutorial on how you tied ur hair up at night?
