This often needs to be judged by courts though. This song however, was pieced together from 3 different songs, from the same album no less. None of the portions heard in this song are original.

To be clear, the song isn't plagiarized. Yamamoto took parts of songs from an album he liked, but the composition overall is original. It's no different than when Nobuo Uematsu used the beat from We Will Rock You in FF9's soundtrack.
I've yet to receive FUNi's Dragon Ball Kai Part 5, it won't have this song but the replacement should be pretty damn awesome because it's from the Z's BGM (By Shunsuke Kikuchi).

Kenji Yamamoto composed music for DB Kai, not the original DBZ.
And Battle Point Unlimited was composed by Project Monolith, who also composed other pieces like Planet to Planet (it's also on youtube).
Shinsuku Kukuchi composed DBZ's original soundtrack for the most part.
Kenji Yamamoto has absolutely zero to do with this particular theme.

@zummone The only problem with your post is that this the original japanese version isn't plagiarized in any way, it's called Homage which means they still come up with their own unique composure while at the same time, other musical scores get ideas from eachother in respect to how awesome the bands are. @PrinceofSaiyajins456 Yeah I do realize that back then it couldn't be much of a nuisance and people was just re elaborating what they did like and thought it would fit well in their ideas for composition and whatever. Still, this is a copypaste of propaganda songs blended together (I'm only finding out today, I'm an old fan of BPU), and you CAN'T argue with that. It doesn't even try to be different. But I still like it nevertheless, I repeat, not a fan of propaganda until this very day.

Plagiarising doesn't just mean to copy the enrire song, don't know where the hell you got that from. You can copy only portions of a song and it might constitute as plagiarism. This often needs to be judged by courts though. This song however, was pieced together from 3 different songs, from the same album no less. None of the portions heard in this song are original.

@Nardex Besides, Plagiarism wasn't a thing back in the day, you fail to realize that it was a huge musical era back in the day. A lot of scores got ideas from eachother so if you hear something in a song that sounds the same, you shouldn't automatically yell "plagiarism"

Except the composer continued to steal music up until 2011, like near copy-pastes of music from the band Stratovarius in the Budokai game or even using parts of the score from Terminator Salvation and Avatar in Dragonball Kai and possibly others that might have gone unnoticed.
The dude got FIRED this year by Toei for plagiarism! They released an official press statement because of this.

If that really is what you searched up, then you are either a deaf person who likes to pretend like they aren't deaf, or a moron :) The song is in the video responses too. I love this song a lot too, and I think this is better than the original, but I'm not about to pretend like it isn't copied for the sake of DBZ.

The overall music in it sounds nothing alike. The drum beat and a small amount of music from the song sounds the same. But when you compare them next to eachother you would notice major differences throughout. Plagiarism is when they copy and paste the entire song and put it on.

To be clear, the song isn't plagiarized. Yamamoto took parts of songs from an album he liked, but the composition overall is original. It's no different than when Nobuo Uematsu used the beat from We Will Rock You in FF9's soundtrack.

To me , plagiarism is the ENTIRE song placed onto another work. But Toei didn't do that, they did the same beating and went off in their own direction with the music.
