Lata should learn a lesson or two in life. Rafi left this world - empty handed. She will too. Mangeshkar sisters held the music directors hostage during those years and now the platform is open to all!!. Glad this song got recorded. Great tune.

This song was recorded in the phase when the two great singers Rafi sahab and Lata Mangeshkar had great differences over the payments of royalties to singers and would not even talk to each other.

The song was recorded separately in the voices of the two legendary singers and then synthesised into a single song, which was quite a technological feat in those days. But whatever the differences that may have existed between the two greats, the song is really fantastic and lingers on and on.
