It's weird how the Xbox version was praised with 8.5's and 9+... 1 year later a better running version, higher textures and it get's worst reviews. If I had to pick one version to play it's the Xbox 360 one. I own both, the 360 is just way better overall.

@oasisbeyond Think about it: the game was re-released, so it doesn't have any surprise. When you come to think about it, the major points in favor of Far Cry was that it was released before HL2 and Doom 3, which explains the poor ending, and it's open world.

In the original xbox they took off open world. The 360 had more processing power but still had linear gameplay. Graphics don't mean shit in games, either.

@penguinchip no, it looks almost exactly like the xbox original.. the redid the water, added more bloom, extended the draw distance, and made the texture higher resolution... but all of that is nothing but minor improvement.

the game is great and the graphics also may believe, this is the most beautiful Versions for the first game FarCry, and beautiful when running in high definition, but do not judge the graphics of the game because the video image of the video is very blurry, never judge graphics from a game by a video seen on youtube, because whenever the graphic of the game was seen live is infinitely better.

It's funnier take enemies down with the silenced pistol, and shoot them in head, they die one shot. And you get Mp5 in this level also, but the next gun, Shotgun.. but when you done half game, you get P90 and other guns! Pretty nooby to play full game with pistol, shotgun, and mp5.

@thing503 the real problem with FC2 is that everyone wants to kill you (which works in a linear game, but a large open world where enemies respawn makes it a pain in the ass.) had they let the missions you take on affect some sort of loyalty system (meaning troops from one camp become friendly) it wouldn't have been that much of a pain getting around.
