I'm sorry, I'm not a G1'er (I loved Beast Wars and I love the Animated series, though RID was mediocre haven't seen the others honestly) but the movies were crap! Horrible robot design (at least for the Decepticons), no real characterization of the villains, bad plot, horrible actor (Shila Buff always acts the same obnoxious character in any movie he's in), bad dialogue, childish humor (peeing on someone, really?) and the action didn't even make up for the rest of the flaws.
And I grew up with G1, but I recognize that it is pretty corny by today's standards and yes it would need to be redone. But if you want to see a movie that manages to make its own story with the source material while still retaining the basic underlying features of the original source material, look at the first X Men movie or even First Class (which I think is a great retelling of Magneto's origins).
i got a question...well more of a queary...if when starscream was a ghost and could posses ANY decepticon why didnt he just posses galvatron?....that way he would be in charge and no-one would have known the difference anyway as galvatron was a nutter anyway!

I love how the nose cone and head works too. I have the Robot Masters Thundercracker ad Skywarp but they are basically the same transformation as you probably know.
I like the fact that Starscream in the new movie is a F-22. I mean back in the 80s the F-15 was pretty much state of the art and now the F-22 is pretty much state of the art.
They also produced a recolour of Bay movie Starscream as Thundercracker. But with a new head
you know, Classics Screemer has a rubber nose so I'm wondering if the original transformation was intended to have the nose flip thing or if it's just for safty. love the review 5/5
Did they ever make a toy of him with the crown, and the modified wings he had, during the scene in the movie right before he got killed? I always wondered what he would have looked like transformed.
Great review. Star Scream is one of the best villians ever. He definately helped make that show great, when I was a kid. I think that is partially because he had such a brilliant voice actor.
What I'd like to know is why are a lot of the G1'ers so annoyed with the new movie? I mean, Michael Bay wasn't saying 'these are the transformers from G1'. They had resemblences, but they weren't from that storyline and had slightly different characters. I mean, Optimus' fight with Bonecrusher (poor bot) proved Optimus was kinda merciless. Still, 5/5

Thanks for answereing my question about the seekers. I agree with you about what you said about what people are saying about the new Michael Bay movie. I don't know about you, but all I ask is that they do the franchise justice, not necessarily a carbon copy of the original cartoon.

Great review. Just a comment on the Sunstorm part, I personally think that Sunstorm is shown in the very first episode of the TransFormers where you see two Cybertronian jets attacking the escaping Wheeljack and Bumblebee (also in cybertronian for). In one scene you actaully see a yellow seeker ! and that I believe is Sunstorm, eventough the truth my be it's just a colouring error ;)

Another great review on an awesome Decepticon! It's pretty weird that Sunstorm started off as a nameless character until Dreamwave made him into a superbeing in their comics, which made him alot more popular and EXPENSIVE. Keep up the good work!
