excellent! i got a 62 humber hawk that sat outside in my bro's garden because my unit was full, i knew i would get around to restoring it so i wasn't too fussed,it's ready for paint now, when i fetched it,after 18 months of being outside with no cover or back window I put a battery on,connecgted a fuel line to a can of fuel and it didn't even turn over when i turned the key, just burst into life!i nearly fell over!,thats why i knew i'd finish the restoration, please post yours when shes complete?
I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs + injection and tank clean and rustfree
very nice, please clean the engine as good as you can and fil in some new SAE30 Oil for vintage cars, dont use modern detergent oil multigrades in those vintage cars..good luck!!
It was lovely seeing this. My dad has got one and has been doing it up for years, hes just finished it and I was lucky to have it as my Wedding Car in Sept. Good luck with yours.
Nice find, I also have a 10, a 1938 model with vertical slat grille, needs a wiring loom and reassemble the interior. Think I'm going to have to drag it into the workshop this weekend!
hurraaaayyy :)

I know how it feels like to start up a car that hasn't ran for 30 years or so. Brilliant feeling.
