Yeah, I hate how fraps kills your framerate. I have a pretty nice computer, but recording at fullsize videos is impossible...and even half size videos jumps in the beginning :/

yeah fraps makes really big files because it doesnt have time to compress it. I Just use windows movie maker and that compresses and makes smaller files.

This is just a hacked version of Peggle Deluxe; you can mod yours to do the same.

There might be a hacked version now, but this seriously came with the orange box. It's sitting in my steam account right now, ready to be installed just like that. I don't even own the actual game.

Like I said though, I pre-ordered it to get into the TF2 beta, so it might have been a special gift with that, but this version of Peggle isn't just a mod. (as in unofficial and not endorsed by Valve)

I'm not that technical, but all I know is that after I stick one more DDR inside, all games started do upload faster and movement of balls and Aim pointer was just to fast for me.... It is very hard to make some old shots (bounces of the wall) because the difference in speed.

Unfortunately I achieved Extreme grand status. It is the same for me in all games. I work continuously to achieve the final goal, but after I do it, I hardly ever play that game again. Now I am trying to finish last temple of ZULU, I know as soon as I do it I wont play Zulu ever again. Thats just me.....silly girl

Of course you havent - because if you had, you'd understand that even the best computer in the world simply cannot record it using Fraps. I get 100+ FPS in Peggle, yet fraps drops it down to anywhere between 8 and 12.

Actually, I have tried to record Peggle. In fact, I even have a video here on YouTube. Just check my channel. Or add watch?v=_ft1f6g-w-8 to the end of the url after the "/". Owned. I recorded mine with Hypercam, which is why the quality is not great, but at least it runs smoothly. If you don't want to use fraps, just go to Peggle options and uncheck the "Fullscreen" box so you can use any other recording program for things that aren't fullscreen. Or use Gamecam instead of fraps. Bitch.

Your computer doesnt suck mate - it's just Fraps. For some reason it can't handle Peggle at all! On my AMD Quad Core Phenom, I can record things like Portal and Left 4 Dead at 60fps, but no matter what settings I try in Peggle, it can't record above 12fps!

I make fraps limit to 60fps, cause videos (especially for youtube) are better that way. I've got a Radeon 4850 512mb (IceQ cooled version) and I usally see around 90-100 in L4D

The game does need to be in full screen mode and recording kills the frame rate even on a relatively good machine
