  • No way was this uploaded over a year ago. Fuckin' hell times flown.

  • sorry if this question sounds a bit dumb, but what is a dedicated server?

P.S. Dont know if this will help, but i may not know because i dont play many PC games

  • A dedicated server is a server a computer hosts (Usually a super computer pretty much) Which allows modding the gameplay leagally to that server, it allows admins, and can be just to have fun with friends... MW2 is a crappy Matchmaking which allows no modding or anything..

  • About that it takes more to make games now thing, most company games get a profit once released. Regardless of how much.

  • Has anyone else noticed it says OT6 on the skull

  • that's just the font. says OTG.

  • its uppercase G not 6

  • can someone explain to me the difference between pounds and U.S. dollars, cause over here in the US the price for the ordinary version was standard for a new release game.

  • Regarding the PC community issue I think your right about the piracy OTG its not about it at all I think its more about the fact that not a lot of gamers can shell out the 2,000 USD for a nice computer to actually run the game great, I mean look at the console which is now what like 399 or 299 USD I would say that is a much larger market to go for, no offense to all the PC gamers, also I think MW 2 made so much cause of the prestige edition which is like 140 USD

  • I just borrowed it out on rental cause...don't get me wrong, i'd have bought it...but I didn't want to fork out that money and find out it sucked....it...is...best....COD EVER!

  • i only paid 45 euro because of the midnight release offer

  • PC games are really getting screwed over aren't they.

  • Had to import MW2 from UK (xbox Vers.) cause the german version is cutted. I payed 40,90€ and it's actually 10 bugs cheaper than MW1 o.O

Yeah and I heard about the matchmaking shit without clan servers and stuff. Infinity Ward actually shot in their own legs. The petition was signed by a million people but it is like you said: "We know you will buy it!" This is really a kick in the nuts.

  • dude modern warfare 2 is $98 in australia

  • Sorry if this is a stupid question, but how many pounds would be in $10?

  • liam martin !?

  • Sainsburys or Morrison. Around £25.

    You are welcome

  • That was for 1 day, they sould out in 6 hours

  • Hmmmrmph. I don't see the point in uploading an HD vid for a sound-only podcast. It takes me ages to download the vids cos of my internet and there isn't really a noticeable improvement in sound quality.

  • But over in the U.S. its average to pay $59.99 (around $64.99 after taxes). So I don't see what there is to complain about. I wish could get games for $48 like how you're getting them. But I guess I'll have to pay more.

  • well normal games are standard $50 cast out. That's 10 extra dollars anyway.

  • I only paid $50.75...for the Hardened Edition. But that's because I traded in 35 dollars worth of games.

  • if by "you're" you mean the UK, then you need to do the exchange rate calculations, buddy. £48 does not equal $48

  • I know...im saying if he were paying the same price where i live, in term of pounds, it would roughly 48 USD

  • £48 is about $60 but thatws guessing

  • Mmm..I went to my local sainsburys and they sold MW2 for £26, compared to other distributors that had it for over £30. Still Awesome lets cast! Sucks that servers have been f'd.

  • RRP was about £50-£55 on the consoles =/

I got it for £32, which its the price it basically warants, because to be honest it's not worth £55.

  • ahhh, so that's your surname! :-P

  • happy friday the 13th otg!

did,. you just say your last name?

  • It's public knowledge, never asked up Whois information on his site eh?

Also MW2 sells for 60euro pretty much everywhere but there's also some shops selling for 35-40euro. That's much better.

  • jepp. And those shops will earn less with every sold copy. Activison/Blizzard/IW will surely get the same money.

  • cant access his website =( damn IE

  • lol IE. Don't use it.

  • he's said it before in one of his vlogs yano :p

he was saying how its both his last name and a regular first name

  • Most new games in the US they start at 60 it been like that for a few years now. love ur videos

  • So like 50 or 60 in american dollars? o-o

  • haha im playin pokemon fire red. catching moltres is a bitch

  • CoD has no dedicated. even on consoles it's P2P

  • Consoles have never had dedicated servers though. That's why you might hear some console players talking about this MW2 business and not even understand why PC gamers are upset.

  • the PC is a major part of te gaming community

  • Well, the pricing for games (PC at least) recently has really changed. I noticed that Prototype was still about £42 last time I went into Game and there're some other games that are even older than that that are still close to the £40 mark. It's annoyingly frustrating but I can kind of understand why. MW2 isn't too bad considering. They could have gone higher and still gotten away with it.

  • Friday 11th? HTSF =D

  • haha, i just noticed that too! :-)

  • noez... I had to pause it at 00:54 because I haven't played it yet and don't want any gripes to be in my head before I get to experience them myself D: Dangit, this sounded exciting too... =/

  • Purely out of curiosity, can I ask why this video is available in HD? Is it just force of habit to record in HD OTG, or is there another reasoning? Sorry for the random question ^.^

  • I think the sound quality is marginally increased, but just to listen to someone talking it's not really worth it. It takes me ages to dl HD vids so it kinda sucks when its not even a video.

  • OTG. MP3 format. NAO.

  • I second this! I looked it up on iTunes to see if it were there :3 But i couldn't find it D:

  • An OTG podcast? a set of videos where OTG rambles on about stuff? this is going to be fun! (and no I'm not being sarcastic!) that's one thing I've missed from the more recent videos.

  • i didn't know it worked like this in Europe in America an ordinary new game is 60 dollars always

  • I bought the hardened copy, £70 freaking pounds =S But I got MW1 for like £15 with the DLC. So it kinda balances out since I thought I should of gotten it day relase for full price. That game, was worth it.

  • OTG some supermarkets were selling MW2 for £25 for a hard coppie

  • Totally agree with OTG on this. The $10 price increase + no dedicated servers for PC = WTF were they thinking?! I belong to a few TF2 groups (or clan groups) on steam and all 3 of the really big ones were already in the process of buying their own MW2 servers a few months ago. Not now of course....

    *facepalm*

  • What is better modern warfare2 online or bad company online. I have not got modern warfare2 but I have got world at war I know the is different weapons and stuff but I did enjoy bad company more with the open space and tanks air strikes and the helicopters.

  • MW2=overated, under average pc game. Its worse than the 1st game in practically everyway ffs and costs more, how the fuckedy? To think, i din think too much of the 1st one and thought that was overated. Im one of the not too many people who preferred W@W :P. Pc made the shitty iw big.

  • Ever thought of hosting a regular podcast? Maybe even putting it on iTunes? I do remember you hosted a couple episodes of "Epic Rambles" on your site back in the day, but it's been quite a while since, and I don't even think those were available for download at the time.

It would be a perfect fit someone who is capable of rambling in as epic a fashion as you.

  • By the way, I'm seeing the PC version on offer for €37,95 here in Holland, and the Xbox 360 version for €52,95 from the same shop! I don't know what's up with that difference, taking a peak at a pricewatch website the difference is the same even for the cheapest offers (which tend to include larger shipping costs).

  • 10 pounds is 16 dollars? Wow, like a year ago it $22.

  • Screw IW with the 10 versions of MW2, i got it free =]

  • 'because of piracy' is such a load of shit. I bought Borderlands because of your LP and it used SecuRom crap during the installation, which meant I couldn't use my freshly read-in image. Needless to say I downloaded a crack so I could use my image after all. That's right, CONSUMERS are using cracks, just like people who torrent it. The only difference is that people who torrent it don't have to worry about that crap during installation; it's just retarded.

  • Uh.....Borderlands doesn't even have secuRom

  • I dunno about the Steam version, but the retail version does. Trust me, my image was rejected by the online verification during installation :P (even though I took care in making it with Alcohol 120%)

  • I dunno, I'm pretty positive it does not have it. This is just based off what people have said. I know for sure the steam version does not.

  • You'll have to take my word for it I guess ;) You can find news posts about it online though, apparently they added it at the last moment or something.

  • ooo a 1st of many podcasts i hope? :D

  • Apparantly, Sainsbury's had it for pre-order at £25. I missed that totally. =\

  • I will never play modern warfare 2. i'm not saying a bad game, it is pretty good, but it's over rated as hell. it's just another fps

  • hey I thought the same about CoD 4 but I've just completed the modern warfare 2 campaign and trust me it's a hell of alot more than just another FPS

  • Just another FPS? You don't know that until you have played it. Same goes for OTG. I think he will forget about the price when he plays MW2. It's completely worth it. Yeah, the PC gamers kind of got fucked over. To be honest, I'd rather play it on PC too (bought it for PS3), but besides that it's nothing but awesomeness. If there is one game that is overrated, it's halo 3. If there's one game that ISN'T overrated, it's this game. Best game of the year, without a doubt.

  • i put all those sales to the terrorism level and the overhypedness of all the CODs

  • the more over-hyped a game is the costly the price is , it sick really there needs to be a standard in pricing for games ,

  • Sainburys had MW2 for £26. I think they still do in fact

  • *drools* awesome,im sure nearly EVERYBODY wants you talk about modern warfare2.and actually,it was 50 euro on release in ireland,(bout 45 in england i would guess).that point was a little subjective to country, store, etc.

  • I liked the game, but I think they went to far by selling different versions of the game, where in the best one, you get Night Vision goggles..And, what the fuck am I going to do with that?

  • Awesome! :D
