  • saw this group with chakra and head liner grand funk railroad at lake spivy in georgia

  • Love the syncopation. Great find-thanks

  • saw these guys in '71....opening up for grand funk railroad....buffalo aud...they were fantastic!

  • Wonderful!

  • THEY NEVER GOT THE CREDIT THEY DESERVE.GREAT BAND!

  • This song itself reminds me of a Christian Rock song, they play in such an upbeat, 'heavenly' tempo--all except for lyrics like: "Someone's in the closet, and they won't come out"!

  • Yes! Thank you so very much for posting this! BR was the most under rated band from that era! They deserved much more recognition. As a world class musician myself, I can tell you that their chord progressions and arrangements were better than most bands at that time.

  • @groovy56 Bloodrock, next to Grand Funk and Black Sabbath, were probably the worst victim of rock critic penis envy. Still they did have a hit with "D.O.A.", they sold lots of albums, and played to packed arenas. They had deep roots in the Fort Worth garage/psychedelic scene...they did some singles as Crowd+1. They haven't really been revived with the kids like, say, Sir Lord Baltimore, but that'll come. I think their main problem was their manager stealin' dough. (He did turn up D.O.A.)

  • wow!!! Yes, opening act for my first rock concert ever back in 71! Opening act for GFR

  • Bloodrock! You really turn me on! This track must be from the early 70s. It´s interesting to see how the style of garage rock changed from the mid 60s. Check up a band from Scandinavia called THE ZETTLERS and their versions of "Skinnie Minnie" and "Beautiful Delilah". It´s raw and honest rock music without samples and overdubs. Just a couple of mic:s and then count to 4. But, what´s the timesignature in the Intro?

  • @TheSunbau From all that I've heard about Scandinavias--they get it! They have excellent taste in rock music, and they know what good blues-and-boogie-based rock is all about. Bands are sprouting like weeds up there!

  • Classic Rock radio is a JOKE! For starters, here's a list of bands you'll NEVER hear: Bloodrock, Lucifer's Friend, Captain Beyond, Edgar Broughton Band, Atomic Rooster, MC5, Sir Lord Baltimore. And here's a list of bands whose BEST STUFF NEVER gets played: Mountain, Grand Funk Railroad, Uriah Heep, Thin Lizzy, James Gang, Blue Cheer...I'm sure all of you can think of others, but as I'm finding out on Pandora radio, that's just the tip of the iceberg!

  • @notfragile33 That's a killer list. FM radio used to promote touring bands and local bands who might be opening up. Grand Funk and Bloodrock might've been every PC hack "rock critic" but when people got a taste they filled the arenas. Today radio sees rock music as a beer can on their lawn. Much like we see them. But they're on their way out. Cutting radio playlists is a cultural crime. Late '80s I heard "D.O.A.", Rooster's "Death Walks...", and that acoustic C. Beyond song. Not now.

  • @TheMagmagoblin ...I should have added Josefus, Bang, and Cactus to that list of forgotten rock titans. I just remember what Eric Clapton said: "Good music will always find its way to you, regardless of the barriers". And thanks to You Tube and Pandora Radio--it has!

  • The Bloodrock USA LP is fantastic. Magic Man ... Hangman's Dance. Great stuff. More advanced production than their previous records.

  • Sure is strange to look this far back. Jim Rutledge and I used to work together at a soda fountain in a drug store not far from his house. Flippin burgers and makin malts. Nicest guy you could ever hope to meet.

    DADOFGODZIRRA

  • Great to see this but with all the quick video editing it seems like more like it was put together recently.

  • Awsome! Saw them open for GFR in Tuscaloosa in ... back then.

  • @thewalruswasrichard

Saw them open for GFR in Dayton, Ohio in 1970 or 71. After the concert my ears rang for 3 days. Great concert!

  • @thealucard52 Yeah, 70 or 71 sounds about right! Thanks!

  • This is when Rock was Rock!

  • they copied a lot from 3 dog night...

  • @HackerGuitarist Everybody 'copies' from everyone else Bro--in Hard Rock there is not much 'originality'... afterall--how much of R&R was 'stolen' from Black Bluesmen??? We all have influences...why are most musicians afraid to wear their influences on their sleeves? I'm not. And BTW--I always thought Bloodrock had more in common soundwise with Deep Purple and Uriah heep with a bit 'o' Sab in there...# Dog Night? Dunno--was never a big fan.

  • @Zillaman67 I'll go with that,

check out the 3DN albums "naturaly" and "cyan" mike allsop is a great guitarist.great riffs

anybody who lists kings x and thin lizzy as fav bands is cool in my book.

  • @HackerGuitarist Cool! I will check out the 3DN. I always love finding great music-no matter how old it is, or what style. Are you familiar with Terry Reid at all? He was approached by Jimi Page to sing for Zep before Plant was hired--Reid actually suggested Plant to Page! Terry was also asked to be DEEP PURPLE's singer for Mark 2 of DP--and Terry turned that down as well! Reid though he was poised to invade America-and by all right's SHOULD have! But alas we know how unpreictable the 'biz' is!

  • what an amazing treat. love this album. thanks you youtube and all uploaders. think i'm gonna cry

  • Check out Atomic Rooster on the Tube: Spoonful of Bromide

  • In 1973/74 I first heard Bloodrock. Half of DOA in 4th grade music class on 'open music day'. A minute and a half was enough for our elderly music teacher. NIN and Manson should bow to their creators.....long live Bloodrock. A different kind of band from Texas

  • Is this the only live Bloodrock on youtube or anywhere?

  • Love this song off of Bloodrock2. Great band, don't know why they didn't make it bigger, BUT...Glad they were around for me and my buddies cruising down Cross Bay Boulevard back in the day!

  • Great early 70's stuff. Hard to believe this is the only video of them. Thanks for posting this, very cool.

  • Drummer, Rick Cobb, was a high school classmate of Meat Loaf growing up in Dallas. Meat Loaf tells a story in his autobiography about how Rick's dad was a helicopter pilot for an oil co. and would fly them around. Unfortunately, Meat Loaf got the name of the band he joined wrong--Red Rock (OOPS!)

Hard to believe, though, that singer Jim Rutledge was the behind the drum kit on the first album before Cobb joined (too much charisma NOT to be out front!)

  • @notfragile33 I met the guys in 1971..and I agree....to hide Jim behind a kit is a gross injustice!..He was an amazing front man!..all the members were phenominal musicians!..and really nice guys. I thought they were very overlooked and underrated in my opinion..a dynamite band!

  • Bloodrock + Emerson, Lake and Palmer = Kansas

  • Deep Purple + Steppenwolf = Bloodrock

  • FIrst time I've heard any Bloodrock song other than their first album. This song has some great drumming with some Iommi - sounding lead guitar and Deep Purple - sounding organ.

  • great band what a fuckin drummer!

  • They played with Steppenwolf in about 1978 in Yuma Arizona. My friend and I got our pics taken with them....Awesome!!!

  • still have my bloodrock album

  • This is not "reunion" footage.

  • I saw Bloodrock live in Shreveport, La. opening for Rare Earth in May of 1972. What a show!! Jim Rutlege came out onstage wearing a chartreuse green spandex bib onesie. It was the first time we ever saw spandex on a rockstar. The chick I was with was saying over and over... "you can see his THING!!!!" I always said if I ever get to meet Jim Rutlege I was going to shake his hand. Because of his spandex and his "Thing"... I got LUCKY that night with her. THANKS Jim!!!!

  • Saw them live in'70 they opened for Grand Funk Railroad.....one of the most awesome concerts ever at the Sam Houston coliseum.....I still don't know why the roof didn't fall down!!!

  • Never heard of Bloodrock before, they came up as a reccomendation when I signed in, defintly want to hear more. Not unlike Uriah Heep, I thought

  • Cheeze!! were did you find this footage. Loved these guys way back then. Still do...

  • is that nitzinger on git?

  • @edslides Sure dosen't sound like Nitzinger --- Looks and sounds just like the great (it is) Lee Pickens on Lead with the late and also great Nick Taylor on Rhythm. Nitzinger did write the tune -- one of my fav.

  • Is this the only known live BR prereunion footage?

  • @WICD1969 .... this all I've ever seen.

  • @WICD1969 look @ronkrisin much bettr audio

  • Awesome! Bloodrock are one of my greatest musical influences and this is the first live footage I have ever seen! I have plenty of vinyl.

    Cheers

    John

    Wild Turkey

    Australia

  • this is very similar to The Guess Who song Hang On To Your Life.

  • Love BR, have to say the vocals at 1:24 remind me of Uriah Heep, another of my favorites. GFR forever (w/ Mark, Don and Mel)...So much good stuff from that era. Condolences to Doyle's family and friends.

  • HEY ANYONE GOT THE UPLOAD OF A SONG THAT BEGINS I CANT BELIEVE THE WORLD IM LIVIN IN,FAST PACED,CLIMB UP TO THE TOP JUST TO START ALL OVER AGAIN?,I CALL IT FEELIN LOWDOWN ,BUT I KNOW THATS NOT RIGHT.

  • @lilgreenthumb1 the song is Fancy Space Odyssey from Bloodrock 2

  • thanks man!:)

  • I devoured this album when I got it for Christmas that year, along with Steppenwolf 7. What a great time of my life.

  • @daved57 I shared your enthusiasm when this release came out. Played it so much I had to get a second purchase. Got the cassette for the car. Lost track of both over the last 30 years. When CD's came out it took forever to find it. Still play it to this day.

  • One of the best live bands ever, Blessed to see them many times,

  • Thanks for a posting... Looking for Sunday Song... loved Tryptich..... cant believe they didnt blast into major rock areanas....

  • Great video, priceless, thank you

  • Love this live footage. I would buy a classic DVD of Bloodrock from this era in the drop of a hat, if one became available to buy.

  • @mikedeviant found live album on cd great

  • Yes, thank you Bassmon.

    Bloodrock 'n roll forever.

My cousin, God rest his soul, turned me on to them a hundred years ago...it seems.

We had all their 8 tracks back in the day....

fvcken great memories of getting "lucky in the morning".

    Word.

  • That vocal thing at 1'24" is like the best 10 sec in the whole frikken era! I'm talkin from 1954 to now!

  • NICE!

  • WOW!!! It has been along time....

  • saw bloodrock in '71 in san antonio they fronted for grand funk @ hemisfair arena.. What a show!!!!!!!!!!!! s. mechler

  • saw bloodrock in '71 in san antonio they fronted for grand funk @ hemisfair arena.. What a show!!!!!!!!!!!! s. mechler

  • yes i've been looking forward to seeing bloodrock on u tube finally their here & it's been long overdue please add more especially live video since very few of us bloodrock fans have never seen them before in their rather short lived career Ras Davee

  • i went to play at Doyles memorial yesterday. Mark Hickman, Ed, John Nitzinger came to jam, as well as many others, to celebrate the life of a true "ROCKSTAR". safe journey my friend Fucking killer harmony, by the way.

  • I was in a country band with Doyle in the early 90's. I just found out about this tragedy...I was completely heartbroke...God Bless you my brother

  • Doyle "Nick" Taylor, Rhythm guitarist for Bloodrock passed away yesterday 3/10/10 --Sad news.

  • After Lee Pickens epic solo, you get a sigh of amazement from the rest of the band --- that's where 1'24' comes from. Check out their live version of "Lucky in the Morning" from the 2005 reunion DVD --- profound and awesome!

  • How the fuck did they get that harmony voc chord out of mid air like that?!!! profound man!! at 1'24"

  • What a GREAT guitarist!

  • You are dealing with a miracle at 1'24"! Prepare Thyself!

  • interesante

  • you have to aquire a taste for this music! thanks for posts!,brings back good memories!

  • These guys made it. Why didn't you?

  • Just wanted to give a huge "Thank you" to the uploader. Awesome.

  • Happy Birthday to Lee Pickens today 12-8-09! Never got to see them live but have the 1st 4 lps and the live one on cassette. Great band - should have been superstars!

  • I saw Bloodrock my second GFR concert at MSG..i saw them at Fillmore East..headlining with Alice Cooper opening the show..im getting old..ive seen thousands of shows..i saw Purple open for Sly...i saw ZZ Top open for Mayall..i saw the Eagles. open for Yes..theres a strange bill...Bloodrock was a Terry Knight band..Grand Funk was great..saw them 3 times..twice with Pie and once with Bloodrock

  • My first concert was in 1971. It was Grand Funk Railroad, introducing Black Sabbath at the Forum in southern CA. Great show; saw Sabbath play Iron Man, Paranoid and War Pigs before the album came out. At the time, I thought Sabbath's first album was some of the best stuff ever recorded. Saw Bloodrock just before they released "Bloodrock III"; live version of Breach of Lease was just awesome at that concert.

  • hi..wasnt aware of a BR three...music moves fast...in any era..here today gone tomorrow..GFR seems to have a re-ermingance..it was a good band..played hard..poppy songs..i played guitar pro semi pro for most my life..im done now..Farner was cool....remember back then there was the shadow of Jimi..you had Beck..Clapton..Alvin Lee...hot players and Mark does a great Job.Garage rock at its best. And Mel and Don were great..simple USA rock..Don is very good..terrific shuffles.

  • awesome upload, thanks.

  • THANK YOU! I have always loved Bloodrock, but have never seen any live footage. You are aces!

  • Wowo that is some cool shit! I never heard of these guys! I love it!

  • Melvin laid an egg on the floor.

  • I was in Jr. High when this music was popular. What I wanna hear is the " Sable and Pearl" song and the "I like music" song. Anybody remember those two?

  • Sable and Pearl and Children's Heritage. This isn't meant to be Spam, But check out my channel. I have Bloodrock's first 5 Albums up and the rest will come soon

  • I was introduced to this group by my older brother. He gave me the album Bloodrock 2. I got to see them at probably one of their last concerts. By 1975 I was living in Lubbock, TX and Blood rock was opening for Blue Oyster Cult. Blue Oyster didn't show due to an illness and many people walked out. I stayed to see Bloodrock and I had a great time. I sat 5 rows back from the stage. At school the next day, I spent the day with a grin on my face and ringing ears. Great band, great memories!

  • Are we talking contact high?

  • WOW! Thanks for posting this. Rare stuff. Love Bloodrock.

  • Hey guys whats up. I was birthed in 87. This sound is great. What has happened to rock and roll? Check out wolfmother. I seriously think you guys would enjoy. Give them a go. Peace

  • I was in the seventh grade .Saw them open for Grand Funk in 1970 @ Convention Hall in Asbury Park N.J .The first song was "Dier not a lover" Jim Comes sliding out from stage right bangin' a cowbell with a drum stick {way cool] It was like the moonwalk but going sideways .KILLER! This was my introduction to live Rock & Roll .They didn't blow Grand Funk away that night but they were great!

  • I understand because I saw Grand Funk live in a small venue in 1973 and I also was buying Bloodrock records. They were both good.

  • Thanks for posting! This is fun!! Anyone got a track called Days & Nights from the Passages lp? Would love to hear that!

  • I do! Great album. I love both Bloodrock phases! And NOT ashamed to admit it!!!

  • Makes you wonder where the rest of the show is. Or did they do a concert and only play one song BWAAAHHHAAA

  • That was a weird note to end on.

  • 17 in '71 here. My favorite album by Bloodrock was Bloodrock 3. Jessica, Kool-Aid Kids, etc, etc. It was the 2nd album that got my attention. DOA, Sable and Pearls, Lucky in the Morning, Cheater...WOW!

    Thanks for posting this, BASSMON!

  • I went to see Grand Funk one of my favorite bands at the old ampitheater in Chicago and Bloodrock was the opening act. When I left that night Bloodrock was my favorite band. They wiped the floor with poor Grand Funk. Later they released a recording of that night as the Bloodrock Live album.

  • WAY ahead of their time!!

  • Could you post the lyrics?

  • In 1971, at age 16, I carried a little cassette recorder with me everywhere I went. This band's 2nd, 3rd & 4th records were recorded to tape and blared down the halls with me. Got me sent to the front office all the time, tossed out of study hall, and sold at least a couple of dozen of these guys records for them. Greatest unsung 70's band there was. Period.

  • I was 16 in 1971 too. I was a Procol Harum fan, and when I heard "A Certain Kind" on Bloodrock3, I was transfixed, ossified and impressed. the live album in Chicago...the band was so tight, Pickens just ruled. Then I saw them in Chattanooga, Pickens and Rutlidge were gone, Ham was fronting and singing about Daniel Elsberg...oh well. Would kill for an mp3 of A Certain Kind. You are right, these guys were so underrated...

  • Dude, I can hook you up with that mp3... (studio version, I don;t have any of the live albums.)

  • Shaggisthrum....I'm down...where is it?

  • @dertrommler54 Thats Great Man!They Just apparently Had no idea of what quality stuff Bloodrock is,Period! Thanks for sharing that great memory here, \m/

  • @dertrommler54 Dude you musta been WA?Y ahead of your time. It was 76 before I even had a cassette player! Even then, I still had 2 different powerplay 8 track players that interchanged with the same bracket.

  • @ciscoglenn Cisco, I LMAO with your post. I remember those powerplay 8tracks; I had a GF who had one. My cassette player, 39-40 years ago in high school, is now my Ipod. I carry it everywhere and all the Bloodrock I own is on it, along with Grand Funk, Zeppelin, Jethro Tull, Three Dog Night, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors and of course tons of The Beatles and Stones. It can be 1971 all over again with a push of a button, and there are days when I can't be satisfied by anything but Bloodrock.

  • @dertrommler54 And they said there was no such thing as time travelers. I wish it was 1973. Poof!! I'm gone...............see ya..........

  • Kickass! Any more of this particular show?

  • mY SECOND EVER CONCERT. St Joe's gym in Hazleton, Pa.! Great Show the opening act was the Buoys who had a hit single about canibalism. Oh those wacky seventies!

  • One of my all time favorite bands. I remember when DOA was on the radio but I loved and still have the album Bloodrock USA.

  • BritironRebel sent a copy of the reunion show. They only had about 6 or 7 rehersals for the show but you can tell they still got it after 30 plus years!

I was impressed. If you see this BritironRebel, thanks again for the X-mas present!

  • Can't believe i found a video of Bloodrock I have a old vinal of them from years back.. Great band.. Love my Rock and Roll

  • buenisima banda funck.

    saludos desde PERU

  • ...I think I've found my newest favorite band.

  • gracias a Dios pude verlos en 1971 junto a Grand Funk...!! amazing!!

  • Thanks Bassmon for sharing this. Bloodrock music is great music!!

  • I'm yet to meet another Englishman who has even HEARD OF Bloodrock - this is like an answet to my prayers. They've been one of my favourite bands for 30 years but I've NEVER actually seen them in all that time....brilliant thanks.

  • hugobear1: An Englighman who has heard of Bloodrock is indeed a RARE BREED although i am i think like yourself one of the lucky few.

Why they were not huge still amazes me!!!

    Top Top Band!

  • so true...ever since I watched this I've dusted off the vinyl and rebought all of them on CD....the first three LPs are simply first rate - miles better than Grand Funk and those other limited 70s bands. The first LP on Capitol UK is worth £90!!!!

  • Wow. Imagine how good it would have been with THE FIRST HALF included.

  • Great to see some live footage of Bloodrock. My favorite LP of theirs is "USA." I think the songwriting and production on that one are far better than the others, though I enjoy them all. I think they have a bit of Bubble Puppy influence.

  • call 911....this just blew me away!!!

  • excelente material es de agradecer; bloodrock es una banda que brilla por su propia luz, me parece muy creativa y generosa su música; creo qu a estas alturas ya tienen su reconocimiento en el colectivo rockero mundial

  • Thanks for this video man!

  • Stabby once you get over the fact of how great all those bands you mentioned are, you'll soon realize there are plenty of bands out there today that dont need shortcuts or sweetening. You just gotta come out of your bubble and listen to some new music.

  • From a time when people could actually sing and play (i.e Moddy Blues) and not need any pitch correction or sweetening in the studio or live. Now everyone wants to take shortcuts, look beautiful. We have state of the art studios with absolute clean recording, but where are the Mozarts? The Beatles? The Stones? Elvis? Guess we'll have to settle for mediocre. :)

  • Boy, that's for damn sure. By and large, today's music is garbage.

  • I was only 6 years old when Bloodrock 1 came out, but I was hooked right from the get go.

I jammed on USA before I ever heard of Black Sabbath,Led Zeppelin,Deep Purple Or GFR.Shit man they(Bloodrock)whooped my ass at that age. They were and always will be one of my favorite bands, even if I was'nt born in DALLAS,TX. Bloodrock was a very underated rock band, what a shame.

  • Thanks. From a Texan that had long hair when it was dangerous to have long hair. And oh yeah, holmeed, you said the south sucks? fuck you.

kirby foster, lampasas, tx. I'm in the phone book if you wanna look me up.

  • If you look above and to the right of the video screen, by where it says Channels and Community, you'll see Lee's other eye.:)) Some will get that.

  • Bloodrock was one of the first bands I saw in concert. They were damn good!!

  • Fuck yeah bitch! Thanks!

  • Beaker street introduced me to this band in abt. 1970. Still have those scratch LP's in the bookcase. A band ahead of their time that's for sure.

  • holmeed -- FUCK YOU yankee punk

  • Holmeed: You talk really dumb. Southern people, are some of the nicest people around. I would love to meet a girl from the south. But I heard that's changing now. They're starting to get stuck up, like the girls up north.

  • I liked Bloodrock and people did pay their dues having long hair back around those times, especially in the southern states.

  • To finish my reply: He and his new wife are good, and he's feeling a lot better. Phil White passed last Saturday! Bass player of "Space Opera".

  • I went to Richland High School and graduated with Stevie Hill in 68. Yes, it was dangerous to have long hair back then. I played at the Cellar. Got pulled over by Fort Worth's finest at least twick a week it seemed. Spent the night in jail once for having a tin of Bayer asprin on me! Oh, before they were known as Bloodrock they were called "The Crowd plus One". Johnny Nitsinger wrote this song. I had a beer with Stevie Hill just a couple weeks ago for the passing of Phil White of Space Opera.

  • Think about this: These guys were probably some of the only males walking around Dallas-Ft.Worth in the late-60s with HAIR THIS LONG!

    That took some guts!

It's amazing they survived without getting beat up, arrested, or killed. Long hair might seem like a minor thing now, but it was considered a serious threat to the authorities back in those days in the South (just watch "Easy Rider"!)

  • Now who did Bloodrock sound best touring with back in the day?

Personally, I think Humble Pie was a better fit musically for Grand Funk (more blues-based). Bloodrock had more proto-goth and progressive leanings, so they were a better fit when paired with, say, Frank Zappa, Alice Cooper, and especially early-Kansas.

The only things Bloodrock really ever had in common with GFR was the same mananger, producer, engineer, and record label. And none of those things lasted long!

  • Hey notfragile33, If you listen to Bloodrock's U.S.A lp, You may even hear Pickens and Taylor sounding almost exactly like Lennon & Harrison. Brilliant guitar work! These guys were able to sound like Floyd, Deep Purple, the Beatles etc. but always maintaining their VERY unique sound. As Rutledge says at the end of the reunion show..."BLOODROCK FOREVER"!

  • I LOVE whatever key this song is in--you've heard of "songs in the key of life". This must be a song "in the key of heaven"! It's one of the few songs I know of that puts me in a good mood regardless of how I'm feeling.

My favorite line in the song: "Shom-one's in the closet/and they won't come out!" The lyrics have Jon Nitzinger written all over it--so witty and full of irony!

  • A little info on the band: the drummer, Rick Cobb was mentioned in Meat Loaf's autobiography. They both went to school together growing up in Dallas. Cobb's dad was a pilot for an oil company. However, Meat Loaf mistakenly referred to the band he was later in as "Red Rock" (shame on you, Meat Loaf, you should know better being from Texas!)

The bearded guy with the ES-335 is Nick Taylor. He later went on to front a C&W band (probably more his "speed" if he screwed up the end of a rock song!)

  • This band was Texas' answer to Deep Purple, but I think they came about it completely by accident. The sound of the guitar-organ interplay they developed was one that Deep Purple was coming up with at exactly the same time.

Listen to the 'call and response" of Lee Pickens' guitar and Stevie Hill's organ. Doesn't it remind you of Ritchie Blackmore and Jon Lord? Even their styles are identical!

They may have been aiming for more of a Steppenwolf sound, and stumbled on Purple.

  • Yeah in this video, lee pickens even LOOKS LIKE Ritchie blackmore, during that one brief close-up of him.

  • I agree, especially with the black hat Pickens is wearing--of course, Hendrix also wore black hats--I think he and Blackmore both got Jimi's fashion sense.

I agree with everyone here that Pickens is THE most underrated guitarist in rock history. Of all the chaps I've ever heard play a Gibson Les Paul guitar, Pickens seems to know how to get the best tone out of Les Paul of anyone. Slash and Joe Walsh come pretty close, but Pickens' guitar is the best sounding Les Paul I have ever heard!

  • More video please.....................

  • Hey! I just did my 1st youtube vid playing Jessica on bass with my stereo! ck me out and comment!

ps - wow! Is this the only live Bloodrock vid out there?

pps - LOve this song! Great riff! thanks for posting!

  • I've been listening to the 1st four Bloodrock LP's since 1970 on. Have them on CD and was playing songs from 2 of those CD's on bass yesterday. Lee Pickens underrated and Ed Grundy solid on bass!

  • But the guy with the beard on the ES-335 screws up the ending something awful. Its very noticable.

  • He didn't screw up anything. BloodRock ends songs in that type of fashion. I heavy lick follwed with a chord ring out. That was intended, the drummer ends on that note. The video just cuts it off & made it sound weird.

  • Stunning! Thank you so much! I live in England and have all Bloodrock's stuff on vinyl (and now C.D) and you would not believe how long i have waited to see a video of this fucking rocking band!!! Thanks again,, Excellent!

  • Thanks TheBassmon!!!

  • WOW! Thanks for posting this. I've never seen any film of this band. More please?

  • Saw Bloodrock twice live. They were just awesome. No posers but the real deal. Like a couple of others here my band covered Bloodrock (Jessica, Whisky Vengeance, Children's Heritage). Now some of the younger guys can see part of the roots of what I like to call Texas Metal. Lee Pickens probably is the most forgotten and underrated guitarists in the history of rock. Same goes for the band. IMO you can could on one hand the rock bands of this caliber.

  • this is a treasure to listen and watch,it was an honor and still is to grow up hearing great bands,i am no critic just a fan.peace brother.

  • Thanks for posting this!! Where da fuck did you come up with this?? What a great band...
