Removing the mask wasn't a complete mistake. It brought the evolution of Kane, having a mask was unrealistic and cheesy, so removing the mask was logical. And Kane being a complete psychopath who fucked over pretty much everyone was sick. The face turns and mid card turns/championships were the mistake.should have kept him on destruction/grudges.

I like kane, but glenn made a lot of bad choices for him. it was also glenn who wanted to take the mask off because he couldn't breathe or see right.

Another example is The Undertaker wanted to have have Randy Orton end the streak but Orton declined saying it was too big for him to end. Think of the credibility Orton would have had ending Undertaker's streak. But Orton knew what was best for the company and if it wasn't for that we wouldn't have gotten the 2 Shawn Michaels Wrestlemania matches.... Kane has always helped the company.

Now he's back. Then they'd have the masked Kane beat the unmasked impostor (Glenn), after which unmaksed impostor would never be seen in WWE again. Glenn could resume his duties as masked Kane afterwards. Should have been a great storyline!

This was the perfect point in Kanes history. He went from silent monster to scary and funny beast (who had understandably been humanized through the years)...now he's a bald guy that can't cut a promo or put on a decent match. WWE just doesn't know when to stop evolving characters (or in this case killing one by going backward). The mask made Kane!
