I they were kind of bored with "Cherub Rock" by 96. They had played it a lot on stage for three years and most versions that I've heard on the mellon collie tour sounded half-hearted, as if they were going through the motions. I might be wrong, but that's the feeling I get. "Disarm" & "Mayonaise" sounded better on that tour IMO. Still - they played stellar shows in 96 I got to see them pre tragedy (Jimmy istill n the band, Melvoin alive, and before Dublin) and I'M STILL THERE. Fantastic show.

He has a true sense of melody and puts his emotions into riffs beautifully.
