Well, that would be very well and good if the topic were religious freedom and/or religious marriage, but the topic is civil marriage. As in marriage licenses and the rights that go along with them that are granted by the government. That has everything to do with the government at both the state and federal level.
Although, to be fair, I may have misunderstood you. It's possible that you meant that only churches have the right to restrict marriage, because they have religious freedom. And that the government has no such right, and as such must allow marriage equality. So if that's the case, sorry for the misunderstanding.

Because public school history does not teach history I had to look up Jim Crow laws, Black Codes and Redlining. Ron Paul is right again! That we can act as an intermediary but that we should not take sides. Why? because we have been doing it for decades (billions) and it never chagnes. There were about 10 objectionable sentences in about 10,000 pages. If Ron Paul was a racist then his life and record would be littered with evidence. Because he supports many of the ideals and truths that I hold dear; less government, a better foreign policy, taxs that make sense, and yes lastly, but not least a government that is not biased against any group of people. Because public school history does not teach history I had to look up Jim Crow laws, Black Codes and Redlining. Ron Paul is right again! The 1964 Civil Liberties Act were the result of government segregation laws already on the books. We did not need new, additional, laws that further stemmed racial problems by now creating special privileges to minorities. This does not create equality further categorizes people into racial groups. We did not need new rules we needed the old ones repealed

I am not sure where this racist card came from, I guess it is from his newletters that he never wrote. RP is awesome. Never will we ever have a chance in the next 100 years to take back our liberties and not continue to loose them. The system is going to try every trick in the book to make this guy seem weak, stupid or racist. RP is for the people and Romney and Obama are just puppets!

@caryhartline They did kick him out, for all intents and purposes. They can't stop him from running in the Republican primary, but the GOP establishment has done pretty much everything possible to avoid helping him. They would probably rather see Barack Obama elected again than Ron Paul, because only one of the two is really a threat to the elite power tag-team that has a stranglehold on America.
