I think they are very lucky,
if they had many more safety belts holding them in the car, and it was too hard to release, they may have drowned.
His reaction is exactly the same as what I would do
You can hear him starting to get scared

Similar incident, but that's not it. They hit a bridge wall in the clip you provide; not here. And there isn't a sign on the road edge like in this video.
Both involve hydroplaning during a turn though.

The car is making a hard left turn in fran's post. The vehicle in this video is performing nothing but gentle right turns. Very different. = )
