I have corresponded with Grant Hayter-Menzies the author of "Mrs. Ziegfeld: The Public and the Private Lives of Billie Burke" (published May 2009 by McFarland). Mr. Menzies has seen hundreds of photos, including private family photos, as well as hundred of hours of film footage and can positively state that this was not Billie Burke, nor did she ever live in Bogota. I was disappointed, but extremely grateful to Mr. Menzies for all his help.

This was when people had pride in their community and their country. Unfortunately today we live in a world of cheap sensation and loud vulgarity.
