Saw these guys perform Aerosmith's entire album "Toys in the Attic." That's what I love about RHD. They have great respect and honor for the classics, but they have forged their own sound and write/perform some of the best new music out there.
led zeppelin stole the lick done at 6:47 for "No Quarter" - did the same thing for Stairway to Heaven, as it is based primariy on All Along the Watch Tower by henderix , and Taurus, by Spirit
@transam691 lol yea because by knowing music theory means you'd only play jazz ..... get the fuck outta here. Ignorance at it's finest. And do you even know who my comment was to?
I agree with almost everything you say, but as far as skilled "guitar heroes" of the past 20 years, there are a handful that come to mind (that I'm sure Dan would love to be in the same class with) #1-John Frusciante is an amazing guitar player. I was about this close at a show in Fresno in 06 and was blown away. #2-Mike McCready, Pearl Jam. He doesn't get near enough credit! Those first 3 albums are classics. #3-Michael Gurley of the band dada. He's a brilliant player, and so unappreciated.
first off, yes dan plays the shit out of the guitar. but why morons like you and that other ding bat feel the need to compare him with other guitar players. it's music man! just listen and enjoy. it's not a competition. i guess there will always be people who feel the need to compare and argue about who's best.
2nd. what a lame rebuttal!! no one care's what you think either.
I was comparing him to Hendrix, which is fair enough being as it is a Hendrix song He's playing. I hate getting in these fucking arguments but you are right. just listen and enjoy. ima keep my mouth shut.
hey man, no big deal. i was being a bit of an ass. i just get tired of seeing comments about who's better and comparing this guy to that. just need to ignore that stuff. how many times have you seen rhd? i first saw them about 4 yrs. ago. they warmed up for an all girl ac/dc tribute band called hell's bells. seen them maybe 3 times since-most recently on dec. 30 when they did led zep II. great show. do you play guitar?

AcidJamCrew- How would music theory help a Jimi Hendrix cover? Really.... That makes no sense. Way to think it through Frank.
