I love Akira Yamaoka. He does amazing soundtracks for the Silent Hill series. Still really sad that he left. But I find this soundtrack to be the weakest. 1, 2, 3, 4, origins, and SM are way better than this soundtrack. I felt like he got lazy on this one. But still, I hate that he left the Silent Hill franchise. :'(

This song breaks my heart whenever I hear it. I always can relate to the fact that Alex never had a strong bond with his father and almost hated him. I never had a strong bond with my father either, and that's what makes Alex so real. Everyone can see themselves in him.

It was more about sparing his own feelings then sparing Alex's. He didn't want to get attached to his own son, so by treating him horribly he fostered negative feelings and actions in Alex. And you must admit that it is easier to be distant/hate someone that hates you.

Sometimes, it's better if a loved one doesn't come back after they leave. I knew a soldier once, who I only ever wanted to see again. I got my wish, and I learned something I didn't want to know. This song is so perfect for a story like Homecoming. I hope I don't end up in Silent Hill, chasing down that dead soldier now. ._. She could kill me in a flash.
