  • Mate- I just hoped your Grandma was stoked with this. I hope one day that when my grandkids get to your age they would do this for me- it would be the greatest gift ever.

I know the lab is is important- but don't neglect your organ playing either. I used to dream of playing like this- now I have a good instrument available to play on at age 60 I am too old!!

Keep the dream alive keep playing mate!

Keep the dream alive keep playing mate!

  • I'd say the only "mistake" you made was calling the piece a "SONG." However, for that you are forgiven!

  • My God boy PLAY...PLAY I SAY! If God had given me a gift such as yours I would never have to look for happiness again. Please don't give up your lessons.

  • Too much latent talent there to stop, get back at it mate.

  • You play GREAT - oh, a little rusty, as you said, but you can get rusty on a piece like the Boellman pretty quickly. I was puzzled by your tempo change entering the coda, though. But the only thing I winced at was your description of it as "a song". It's a piece, not a song. Songs have *lyrics*. I really like your "fire" in playing, and I agree with another commentator here - get back at it! The world can use that kind of talent on the bench!

  • tempo???

  • Who cares about tempo, those pipes sound fucking awesome

  • That was amazing!

  • Good job on a very difficult piece! Nice Virgil Fox tempo. Hopefully the lab won't keep you from the organ for long, you seem to have a talent for it.

  • Not playing now???? You SHOULD BE! The organ is a tough instrument to learn and you can sit and play Widor????? Get with the program and get back at it!

  • WOW haha i grew up in the berkshires, which is in massachusetts, and i went to cambrige every summer, and i would play that organ every other day:D and seeing someone else that is my age playing it is totally hillarious:) thanks you made my day

  • Slow down. Let the it stew.

More power is drawn from a slower tempo with this piece.

It's not called Suite Gothique for nothing.

  • You're cute

  • @carterdriggs Ditto

  • How cool. I'm totally envious. I play just enough to appreciate what you did here. Thanks for sharing.

  • Very nice - sounded awesome, wonderful Organ and your playing is remarkable. Thanks for posting - Lance ♫♪♫

  • One thing that i've learned in the music world is. That you meet some of the biggest pricks in the world. Everyone plays the song how they play it. For all of us young organist's. Give us a break, I'm sure you older organists weren't to much better at our again. Awesome job my friend, keep playing that beast.

  • This was very enjoyable. Having access to a magnificent instrument is a gift; being able to sit down and play something is fun beyond description. The naysayers and negative nellies are the reason the arts are dying. Who wants to subject themselves to criticism when they are learning? Should they be denied the opportunity to share their joy and musical expression just because somebody too self-important does not know the first thing about building someone up? Do us amateurs a favor and shut up.

  • @KPO6859 I feel the same way. I know this is not perfect. None of my videos are. I don't understand the bitterness on so many organ videos on here. So many sad people trying to boost their confidence by cutting down amateurs? Who knows. I play because I love it. I'm a medical student though. People should not expect my videos to be "professional." I try my best with the time I have.

    In short, thank you :)

  • @sondasam Nicely expressed from the heart. The people who write here negatively are just expressing the pain of being who they think they are, with all of the conditioned patterns in place to want to feel better about themselves by putting others down. I feel it's really cool that you are doing what you do. I also played the organ just for the experience, the joy of it, without the mental need to compare or judge...

  • @sondasam Carry on what you are doing young man and enjoy every second of it and to hell with the scorners. I'm a brass player and I envy you so much because I would love to be able to even find my way around an organ keyboard. You have a talent, and whether you use it for your own pleasure or to please others is entirely your choice, but whatever..Ignore the talentless detractors, if they want a professional performance, go buy a f**in' ticket to hear it..!

  • didn't notice the dislikes till now. For those of you who THINK thumbs down of this guy, you missed your butt holes by far.

  • @bfs1888 Leaving a negative helps those egos to feel superior. I have seen a 10 minute beautiful piece criticized like "a mistake at 3:18"...those people are wanting to show the world that THEY can hear insignificant aspects of a performance, and are therefore great musicians...rubbish. If we listen with our hearts, we hear music as it is...not how it "could" or "should" have been.

  • you are great! you kept the melody going no matter what. I love it, hope you do more! (from one guy to another, heh heh)

  • Very good, but, next time: one tempo please...

  • To many negative comments. Do you who so easily put down others have videos that I may watch & listen to so that I am be as critical of you? Get a life!

  • That organ is indeed awesome. This PIECE is indeed awesome. Not so much the organist. Although I wish I knew as much as you, so I would practice harder to get better than that! But keep practicing =)

  • More slow practice and look out for the sudden speed changes which should not be there.

  • Beautiful playing.

  • You're really good.

  • NOW, thats POWER

but one thing: don't switch the tempo ; )

  • Although I'm not a musician, I just wanted to offer my sincere thanks for your superb playing of a piece that I haven't heard in many years. Not only did you play it commendably well, but you appeared to be so relaxed as you played. (I hope you take this as a sincere compliment.) Keep up the great work!

  • You sure know how to burn up an Organ don't Ya.. LOL... Keep the videos coming. How long have you been playing?
