  • Sweeeet!

  • NICE! ;D

  • is this in Drop D?

  • totally didn't mean to double post, lol. Was trying to fix my typo.

    Nice vid too btw

  • 2 minutes ago i wanted to play fifa 12 now i want to learn that song thank you for your inspiration :D

  • @DJmaex1 Ha ha, yeah, that's the spirit :) I'm just passing on inspiration, it was The Master himself, Naudo, that got me away from playing games and watching TV and putting that time into guitar!

    JAW

  • @jawmunji It's amazing what a little inspiration can do too. I inspired my best friend to start playing guitar back in the day. 5 years later, he's better than me. Of course, i've put it on the secondary list now, behind family and career, but man... I miss spending an entire day just playing... Those were the days.

  • @jawmunji

I'm in the exact same situation

    Subscribed!

  • @jawmunji

Hi Jaw, at what age did you really get back into guitar? Also wondering, are you good at improv. or are you mostly good at sight reading and learning from tab.?

  • @meangreen4321 Hopeless at improvisation, I don't do it. Spending half a lifetime playing guitar by myself will do that. You either need to be playing with others, or really want to play against backing tracks to develop improv skills...and have a good working knowledge of music. I've got none of that :)

Really started getting back into guitar 1997 (mostly original stuff) and really started to get into fingerstyle covers about 2002, and once I discovered Naudo in 2006...well...!!!

    JAW

  • @DJmaex1 lmao

  • thanks for the tab

  • You're great I like it, I know how much time and practice is required to learn to play something..I'm just beginner, on classical guitar, learning by myself, and when I hear something like this, it just makes me wanna practice more... peace&love =)

  • SHOW SHOW!!! DEMAIS...

  • tab? :cD

  • What guitar is this?

  • Of course he's good, he's from Western Australia!!!

  • @Aarrmehearties Ha ha, thanks mate, Western Australia Is Best! :)

    JAW

  • @jawmunji you're great from a fellow Aussie (east coast)

  • Dude you look just like John Macenroe. Your guitar playing is some of the best i have heard, I dont think you give yourself enough credit, you try to compare yourself to Naudo on most of your songs. He is very good but I like your style far better.

  • @1975firehawk A few people have told me I look like McEnroe - I'm not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing... Thanks for the kind words, yes, I do(did) compare myself a lot to Naudo. He was(is) a major inspiration, and I followed and continue to follow him but I have broken away a little bit towards my own style. I've taken a heap of tips from him, and morphed it into my own style, and I'm pretty happy with it, glad you are too. Still plenty of room to improve though!

    Thanks,

    JAW

  • Dude you look just like John Macenroe. Your guitar playing is some of the best i have heard, I dont think you give yourself enough credit, you try to compare yourself to Naudo on most of your songs. He is very good but I like your style and sound much bettter. Keep the songs coming, thank you.

  • Its days like this that make me feel good to be a vegetarian.

  • @willgadget i almost voted that one down.Im not against it but, life feeds on life.i rspect your choice but dont say its cause you dont want to hurt animals, plants are still sentient beings.they may not scream when you pull them from a tree or the ground but all life forms feel pain.in thailand, some buddhist monks do not pick fruit but wait for the tree to offer them up willingly.Thats a vegetarian, someone that waits for the plant to offer it self to help another live.

  • @DemonofdaDesert so true

  • trop beau a ecoute sans moderation j ai des progres a faire!!!

    françoise

  • MOLTO BRAVO

  • That's brilliant. I play guitar, chords mostly but I'm trying to get into picking a lot more now. Not quite sure how your picking the melody and chords at same time but it sounds awesome. Well done.

  • Великолепно!

    Awesome!

  • I'm planning the put the Africa,I will survive,Cant take my eyes off you,Careless Whisper and Dust in the wind arrangements as soon as i get a new good camera:)

  • @aytekincem94 Cool - I love his Can't take my eyes off you, looked into doing that one once myself, but never got started. I look forward to seeing them!

I use a $20 webcam for my stuff - the trick is not to use the webcam feed, get your audio either direct plugged in or via a proper mic. The video quality isn't as important as the audio quality IMHO.

    JAW

  • everything seems fine but i think you play bit faster compared to Naudo's version.I also try to make my arrangements by watching Naudo's videos and i suggest you to take a look at his" I will survive" arrangement. It's bit hard but really fun to play

  • @aytekincem94 Yep, Naudo does a great version of I will survive. Send over what you've got, I wouldn't mind looking at it!

    JAW

  • hi jaw..i've been able to play this piece...thanks for your video...in fact i've palyed several pieces from your tabs...thanks again to you for making it easier for fingerstyle

guitarist like me....just wondering , are you there any new songs you are working on...cause it's been quite a while....since your last video.....

  • @aa4888 Hey A, glad to help out. Upload a video of you playing it - it's good for you ;)

I'm always working on something - check out my blog where I write what I'm up to, follow the link on my channel.

    JAW

  • awesome mens, u r so good.

  • Manda muito bem cara fiquei impresionado....

  • Awesome Jaw...I am so envious...no matter how much ground I cover, I still look like a beginner when I see such free flowing music. I am gonna get there one day :).

  • @rishonline You'll get there if you want to for sure Rish, it's all just time and effort eh? I still look at Naudo's version and think I'm the beginner, so it's all relative. Just as long as you are enjoying yourself, that's what it's all about!

Post up a vid when you are done :)

    JAW

  • Merci! :-D

  • YOUR HAND LOOKS FREAKY!!

  • @mouloudidou I am quite pleased with my religion thank you.

  • @mouloudidou The term 'losing my religion' is an old southern expression meaning youre losing your grip on things or are at your wits end. REM is from Georgia & obviously knows their shit. Learn your facts before you start condemning people to Hell. Thanks...

  • This guy is so awesome. He feels it. And it's not only that he feels it, it what the message says - what the words say. They mean a lot. To all of us.

  • Thanks man; yeah, I'm feeling it more these days than I used to :) Thanks for stopping by!

    JAW

  • @jawmunji lol u don't really know the meaning of the lyrics don't you?? :P

Or maybe you're interpreting them as you want. Or maybe you do know it :)

nvm amazing guitar playing man :)

  • what's on my mind is how do you clean your guitar damn its shiny :P

  • Never ever been cleaned :) I guess because it has a high gloss finish and the light was at the right angle it looks super-shiny. I don't think it is any shinier than any other high gloss guitar.

    JAW

  • yes, everybody can play Naudo if you realy want to.You did it !!Never stop learning new songs. That was very good

  • Nice work! The only musical instrument I can play is the radio :(

  • very very nice

  • 1 Word

    AWESOME.

  • That was awsome! Good job!

  • excelent ....

no words ... goes just straight in the hard...

  • I think the hardest part in playing Naudo's arrangements is to keep the bass line going. You do it very well.

    Great work!!

  • beautiful.

  • Can you tell me your setup? Guitar amp etc?

    Thanks.

Great playing as usual by the way.

  • Yamaha CGX171 direct input into a PC, little bit of after effects reverb and EQ.

    Thanks!

    JAW

  • Why don't you sing? :)

  • "Worst singer ever" ;) If I play the melody well enough, and you know the song, you'll be singing it in your head anyway. The best bit - you'll hear it exactly as if Mick Stipe was singing it!

    JAW

  • very nice show!

  • awe awe!! :D

  • dudee... you're a god!

i love your guitar versions...!! :-D

  • oh my gosh. amazing

  • well done

  • Donde puedo encontrar la tablatura de este estilo de losing my religion????

  • your tab seems very rough...it just broken up into verses and the chrous?

  • Yeah, don't have quite so much interest in doing tabs for you guys anymore. Besides, if you are able to play this, that tab is plenty enough. Good luck!

    JAW

  • tabs dont work =[

  • Yes they do

  • So the thing is to play like naudo (not that good of course) but in his style so to say, one should learn to play bass separately, probably try and play different tunes under the same bass line (when possible of course) or vary the bass line without changing the melody or sth like. Is that so?

  • There are many approaches...but all begin with learning some thumb independence. I "discovered" it playing Tommy Emmanuels "Day tripper". Once you can play the intro 2 bars, you are on your way and you will never look back. Grab it off the internet and get crackin'! ;)

    JAW

  • Good Jod man, keep it goin' . I have a question though. I play the guitar my self, can't say i az very good but i can play a few tunes. So i was wondering sth. Looking at your performance it looks ..hm should i put it... solid, meaning that bass and melody are played together (obviously) but in a way u cant vary the melody while playing because you will get confused about the bass line, while when u look at naudo, his thumb is playing separately and he can vary the melody while playing

  • Excelente .....MAESTRO !

  • youre awesome *-*
