  • I love this song, especially Portnoy's falsetto.

  • It makes me angry how all you people ever recognize is Petrucci. Did you know Myung is probably the greatest bassist to ever live? Or that Mike is one of the best drummers in history? Or that Jordan is the best keyboardist alive? Or how amazing James's voice is?

  • @PurpleFalcon7 each and every member of the band is awesome, hence the name

  • I would love to buy this track without the vocals.

  • I like how Petrucci stands in front of everyone else for a good portion of the song, then returns to his mic stand AFTER James/Mike are done singing.

  • fkn awesome!!

  • Ha! lol. Mike I didn't know that Mike does that small voice in the song.

  • I kind of love the way Portnoy tends to "sing" the lyrics when he plays xD

  • @Rumpleteazer719

It helps him keep the beat. Trust me, it works.

  • now i learning to this song

  • for one second i thought labrie was wearineg spandex lol..

    great performancw by the way

  • Wow, a great live performance by LaBrie!

  • @melkiydozhdik much triller him still have

  • shit the really high bit around 1:20 is sung by mike!

  • The audience missed their cue to cheer at 0:55, heh heh.

  • To nerds didn't like this video! Fak if u are not going to like it why do u bother watching it? Fakz

  • DAMN THAT GUITAR SOUND HEAVY!

  • fucking great vocals!

  • this is well easy i can play it with my nipple.

  • @the1trueseed heh. I smell sarcasm =)

  • Fucking chunky ass sound they have going here......sounds awesome :)

  • Petrucci's surprise harmonics at 3:50 gave me 2 orgasms

  • @dvsdez

    that's very gay mate.

  • OMG! Jordan Rudess had hair???

  • They're actually playing it slightly faster, making this even more awesome than it already is.

  • have they ever played Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence in its entirety besides on the Score DVD? If so, post that shit!

  • @JTheGonzalez yeah, during the tour they did after the release of SDOIT they used to play the entire piece in several shows, I´m sure there are bootlegs out there that have this captured. I join to the request, someone post it!!

  • Oh man, thay are badass

  • You people really want more than the music they're playing. Sure some bands you should expect to run around and to all sorts of things on stage but with dream theater people should be contient with just the music it's expressive enough they don't need to be running around when they music itself expresses the band members better than any stage tricks could!

  • ya its tough enough playing music this complex lol. Most prog bands lack showmanship because there too focused on playing ridiculous music!

  • 2:35... :( disappointed there

  • Crowd didn't roar. Fail

  • lol. true

  • @94TheCH0SENone What do you think they mic the audience?

  • I guess JP can't be jumping around playing some parts of this song haha, besides, DT's not like to be doing crazy stuff on stage

  • I always thought Johns playing was very good, but he never shows any emotion. He never rocks out, he should OWN what he plays, but he looks like someone playing someone else's music and trying not to mess up.

  • @megloman1975 you are immature to his playing. get more exposure, you will change your opinion

  • When you run around and go crazy, your playing suffers - not matter who you are. But when you see a band live most people don't notice how sloppy those types of players are. These guys sound unbelievable live for many reasons - Practice and focus being a few.

  • My opinion, when you own a song, then you can rock, but if you make the song even to hard for yourself, then it's the fodder.

  • Really....? You talk from experience?

  • Actually, yes I do. I don't play in bands anymore, I record for myself on my little PC studio. But I played in the local metal scene for 10 years playing tons of live gigs. And that is exactly why they don't run around like KISS (a band that highly alters their live recordings with overdubs - when they were young and could run around that is). So the answer again - Yes. Yes I do.

  • 13 8.... one reason why dream theater is so good... because they play in such crazy time signatures

  • baaaaaaaaaaaaaah is not really

  • John's playing is boring? What do you want him to do stand on his head and play the guitar with his nipples?

  • ...<_< That'd be...Scary. X_x

  • You know he could easily do that

  • you must admit that would be rather impressive though. Although with Petruccis skill I wouldn't doubt that he could

  • lol. seriously though i hate it that people say he's like a statue... and same goes for "has no emotion" i mean seriously ever heard of Falling Into Infinity? bottom line is JP rocks :P

  • @DreamJp6 He could probably do that ans STILL play better than the homo who said that.

  • @DreamJp6 cause he can

  • @DreamJp6 he does we r just not an advanced enough species of life form to see him do it

  • john petrucci's playing is not boring. haha i never knew that portnoy sings the high part!

  • Thanks for sharing this, DT owns, this is epic.

  • Absolutely amazing.. I deeply regret not knowing about the existence of Progressive Metal nor DT back on 2002 (when I was 12).. how many live shows have I missed :(:(:(:(:(:(:( ??!!

  • Long Hair Rudess :D:D:D

  • man I love the falsetto

  • did they realize what they did? they changed our lives

  • god. i love this song live. labrie is phenomonal at this song live.

  • ths song sounds better live than studio

  • This is so twisted and brutal - love it !!

Ive heard alot of weird sounds coming from this man, but never that!! XD

  • It's funny that LaBrie did a top-version of such a song in 2002, probably his toughest year. Yet he's awesome...this is one of his best performances, along with Marquee, Score and a few more lol.

  • MP has actually said that all vocals in Live at Marquee was overdubbed due to bad soundquality.

  • what are you talking about his toughest year yet. this is the year he said in an interview he felt like his voice was almost as good as new.

  • I didn't think that musicians could play so fast....I give up on guitar

  • or you could aspire to be able to go that fast.

  • so fuckin fast, its awesomeee

  • the first minute of this song sounds so damn violent, i love it @_@

  • Great Band

    Great Music

    Great Album

    Great Song

    Greatest Musicians!

  • awesome song =]

hope to get to your show this year

  • i loove the way labire sings this part here at 1:22

but not on the record or anywhere else..here it's perfect.

  • LaBrie aced this one!!

  • this must have been james labrie's best singing live ever

  • nope the best was at marquee and also in 1992 check out the stuff this is awesome as well... James is really good hear and in the 1992 era as well the good news is he is coming back to his old level of singing! :D

  • i love the drum part at 3:13 just so original

  • omg omg i need this dvd bad!

  • Oh my friend I would never respond "OH FUK UU!!1" that is quite childish and I am responding with a singers perspective. James is and always will be my favourite singer and I appreciate his power, finesse and his incredable ability to go 3 hours a night and still diliver an F# above Tenor C at the end of the night. However like mikertis he was very hoarse not just from trying to sound rasping. I'm bashing him although I realize it looks that way. But listen to the higher parts especially the

  • last part in which he sing "to save him from himself" it's a "I'm barely able to him this note" yelp. Thats why I don't really like it because he is doing damage to his voice by over doing the grit in the earlier verses.

    LaBrie = \m/

  • He was just a little flat on that note, what you talking about? It's a good jump to sing that note live, especially that quickly. The fact that he can do that after doing that gritty verse it just plain amazing.

  • Not when he is yelping out higher parts

  • anyone ever notice how petrucci plays the verse riff slightly different than he did in the studio?

  • One of my friends pointed that out too me too. I don't see TOO much difference. Probably just one or 2 notes really.

  • I love how MP sings along lol

  • I sense there is something wrong with la brie 's voice. He sounds a bit hoarse...

  • Mike Portnoy is such an amazing talent @-)

  • Why don't we try SHOOCK treatment! :D

  • Is there any chance can you upload the whole show with this awesome quality? ?

  • yes it is

  • Cool stuff!

is this from the Live in Bucharest DVD that they sell on tour right now???
