For one some fighters view it as a sign of disrespect if you cant cut weight to the agreed weight its disrespectful to the man who did. also at the heavier weights it may not be as much of a factor because they all have heavy knock out power but for a guy weighting 150 fighting someone 160 with the proper use of kinetic energy those 10 pounds could transform into 30 or 40 Lbs of weight behind the punch. Maybe it doesnt matter to much but why should someone get even the slightest advantage.

I think one of the things that let Buster win was that he fought tall and if you watch most of Mike's fights against taller guys at the time, they tended to get inside and not use reach to their advantage against the shorter Tyson.

You have to look through a hell of a lot of fights to find one of Mike being defeated.. and even then he had to be locked in a cage and drugged with lithium to lose a fight. I'd love to see what would have happened to Buster if mike hadn't spent all that time in a cage and on lithium. I don't think it would have turned out quite the same.

why in below heavyweight division are so concern about weight difference even if it's only like 10 lbs advantage of the other boxer? If you look at heavyweights, Tyson were fighting guys who were 30 lbs heavier or more. Remember, Holyfield when he fought Valuev that was like almost 100 lbs difference... I probably don't know boxing but just my observasion

For one some fighters view it as a sign of disrespect if you cant cut weight to the agreed weight its disrespectful to the man who did. also at the heavier weights it may not be as much of a factor because they all have heavy knock out power but for a guy weighting 150 fighting someone 160 with the proper use of kinetic energy those 10 pounds could transform into 30 or 40 Lbs of weight behind the punch. Maybe it doesnt matter to much but why should someone get even the slightest advantage.

great talent, shudnt hav dumped cayton, rooney and lott. on paper cud hav bin the best ever, in a way only himself to blame, traded the people who loved him for people who wud eventually destroy him. not even sure cus living a while longer wud hav saved him. probably wud of treated him the same way. no loyalty at all. best fighter around for a while tho
