  • Im a c/gunny and ive been in mcjrotc for 2 years. And i cant spin our drill rifles like this. Your an inspiration

  • made SDP look bad

  • You spin that rifle like it's your bitch.

  • whoa this is awesome I joined JROTC monday of this week and the only things i can do with the rifle is a tap twirl and some kind of marching manual

  • Looks cool, but I cant really see the practical use of this drill. When would you have to spin your rifle in combat?

  • @DaXia333 who said it was meant for combat?

  • @SonofGenkai18

I just assumed that all training a marine did had some kind of purpose besides from looking cool. No offense, this stuff looks awesome, but I still don't understand the use of this kind of training. Spinning a rifle, especially if your locked and loaded, is never a good idea. I did my military service in Sweden, and there is no end to the hell our equivalent to a "drill sergeant" would put us through if he'd catch us doing something like this.

  • @DaXia333 I doubt everything single thing you did in the military was meant to be used in combat. Armed Drill is meant to be a ceremonial display of discipline. It is used by all branches of the military for that reason. Furthermore, thousands of colleges and high schools compete every year in Armed Drill competitions which is what I'm doing here.

  • @DaXia333 It's a form of hand-eye coordination practice, and as it is a part of drill, it promotes discipline. It helps develop dexterity and arm strength, even balance, and it's a fun thing to do, along with the its use as a ceremonial display.

  • @DaXia333 That and the fact that he was in highschool when this was filmed. whether he joined the marine corps or not, idk

  • @DaXia333 hand eye cordnation :)

  • That's so awesome, I really hope I will be able to become a Marine.

  • nice style dude

  • I liked that around the arm spin you did at 0:37 I would like to learn that.

  • oooooorrraaahhhh nothing greater than the marine corps. gun ho

  • I hate when different people ask the same question over and over again without reading a couple of comments or the description box. -__-

I also hate when people assume that you are still in high school.

Do you still got "it"? Have you tried to drill recently?

  • HAH to the people that say color guard isnt a sport. if this isn't considered one, i don't know what is.. this shizz is hard and hurts your hands.

  • Im a captain in mcjrotc. And i cant do half that!!! And im on drill and colorguard

  • I understand the time and comitment it took to learn how to do that. I was happy with I could do on rifle in my high school color guard, you sir have put me to shame, and yet I dont mind =] That was amazing!

  • do you think i could be able to do that with my background in Color Guard??

  • @Vampfan111 absolutely. It just takes practice. :)

  • Wish my cadets were as good as that

  • Imagine if you did DCI....

  • so sick

  • holy shit dude! you spin like the devil on crack! i do this with my 10lb rifle and it aint easy but i can do a good majority of the spins really well but damn it not like this. you're very inspiring!

  • you put all our guys to shame i am jealous

  • why dont your drill instructor visit our ROTC unit here in Manila, Philippines? we'll be glad if one us can do that kind of trick..

  • The lesson taught here: "When your rifle has no remaining bullets, use it to confuse and impress your enemy until you have bought yourself enough time for escape"

  • Holy Cow thats fast

  • You got balls of steel

  • how heavy is that rifle champ? yeah light as fuck..

  • @bronconfalcon Are you dumb? If you read the description, or know how to for that matter, the rifle weighs in at 10.32lb... The same approximate weight as most ROTC, JROTC, Navy, Army, Air Force, and Marine Corps drill rifles. You don't need to trash talk because you can't spin.

  • I am a female cadet in rotc... and i am making a sequence for my armed exhibition team... you are amazing and you have inspired me!! Semper Fi!

  • @lovelykawaiichan glad you like it. :)

  • i have to agree with commandervega1, i wouldn't listen to a thing, you performed hela good. i know ive been there. if this is considered no discipline then your highly mistaken, check yourself. ive commanded and performed and even created many drill performances, it isnt easy, more less no discipline. you stand at attention all day with rifles flyin at you, and then we'll see the no discipline. BTW MAGNIFICENT JOB ON YOUR DRILL ROUTINE!!!

  • Silly marine, you shoot people with guns not spin them. - Nah this is fucking badass, im in honor guard for jrotc, and half the shit we do doesn't even compare to this.

  • Imma freshmman at ponchatoula, la and im in the mcjrotc here and i just started doing armed drill and i cant waiit to be at good as you

  • Whet do you learn to spin like that I would like if you could give me some pointers email me at jetfirejosh@yahoo.com

  • @xfogxfraction when was the last time navy has seen combat with the exception of navy special forces

  • Awesome Job:)

  • @commandervega1 angel? is that you bro? lol...it's mikell

  • awesome... :)

  • bro, dont listen to this stupid jealous people that are always dissing on you.

  • @commandervega1 I don't mind it. Haters make me the most money. :)

  • That was mind blowing... it was just amazing.

  • Rifle ocelot

  • the man will only get better stop being so jelous

  • Nice job, Marine!

You might not yet have your EGA, but you did a fine job -- especially for a high-school "kid".

    Semper Fi.

  • I can tell you worked really hard in doing all of those movements. All of that practice results in an outstanding performance. Keep up the good work.

  • Nice!!!!!

  • Dude. These guys who are like "you're sloppy", clearly don't know how much of a beast you are.

    Outstanding job.

  • @MrTheMudkipper or maybe we know what military bearing is and how he isnt doing a good job at keeping it. not saying its bad. just needs improvement

  • @ticks60 I was referring to the spinning. The bearing was decent at best.

  • @MrTheMudkipper i agree with you man

  • wow nice save at the end

  • Sloppy. No head and shoulder discipline with a light weight toy and no bayonet. Unless you have the experience and have lived it, you can not see what there is to dislike.

  • @ENK0GNEAT0 it's a real rifle. stop being a hater or get blocked. simple.

  • @SonofGenkai18 Man I gotta say, you're AMAZING. besides if the rifle were as light as ENK0GNEAT0 is saying, i would just fly off on spins and throws of that speed. Mad Props.

  • @ENK0GNEAT0 I don't know what branch you're talking about that uses bayonets on drill rifles... Oh, that's right! There aren't any... -.-

  • @ENK0GNEAT0 Because let me guess; you're a seasoned, marine veteran here on YouTube to watch videos of the young, inexperienced whippersnappers and mock their skills because the reality is you could do 10x better. The complication is you don't have a camera so you can't showcase your own extreme talent to the world. AmIRight?

And by the way - bayonets on drill rifles!? Yeah ok, gtfo you child.

  • im in 8th grade and i plan to join the MCJROTC at Tahquitz High school mostly for the color guard and this makes me want to join even more!

  • ninja marine

  • Who are the 58 assholes who disliked this? what's to dislike?

  • I Have tried thiss... in rotc... This is soo hard to do..

  • Beautiful. Thank you.

  • how much did the rifle weigh? if its the light one then im disappointed lol

  • @dannyjosh24 Dude....Read the description. >.>

    Now I'm disappointed.

  • @Jocol85 wow. that was my idiot brother with that stupid question.

  • Flawless. This guy's amazing. I love watching this-looks like a propeller!

  • for all you trash talkers post a video up with you spinning a rifle, bet you cant spin it once.... then come back here say your sorry and join the marines

  • Disipline, fun to watch

  • I don't know why, but spinning a rifle around and dancing seems to take the discipline out of drill.

  • @1john1992 tell that to almost every college with an ROTC program. and the SDP.

  • @1john1992

it shows practice and discipline and dedication bc just not ANYONE can spin a rifle that easily...

  • @1john1992 hey. shut up.

  • I love your routine here. I hope to be has talented has you are some day.

  • this is scary good

  • Comment removed

  • this is why i attend wilson

  • DUDE DUDE DUDE DUDE!!!! THIS WAS FILMED AT MY HIGH SCHOOL :DDDDD Just made my day :D

  • thats how the navy blocks bullets

  • @xFoGxFraction i hope you know that was marines.

  • @hkpenn1 thats how the marines block bullets

  • sweet

  • Only in the Marines.

  • fantastic

  • I wonder if the bullets will be able to fly straight after this - as dizzy as they must be ...

  • The rifles are difficult to spin, but they should only weigh 8-12 lbs. depending on the model of the rifle

  • Alot of people don't even know how much them weapons weigh and think it's easy.. It's not

  • @lifeguardian88 I'm on my school's drill team and those rifles are like 20 pounds. Spinning those things that fast is NOT easy so I know what you mean.

  • . . . HOLY SHIT . . .

  • I don't want to sound dumb but I came across this vid looking for color guard rife(like marching band) does this have anything to do with it

  • @supercrazymonkydude yes actually. This is very closely related to Military Color Guard which isn't far from marching band color guard. They spin rifles in a very similar manner. You're on the right track.

  • I'd like to see Chuck Norris try THAT! That was awesome man, I wish that i had that kind of talent.

  • that's amazing!!! :)

  • Out of curiousity: Are you right or left handed, Matt? So impressive!!

  • @amyschroll81 right.

  • He should've done a Ninga

  • Absolute Precision.

  • Well done sir....well done.

  • Cool.

  • Watched the video again. Good show. Must have needed hours of practice.

  • I use to grade drill comp I've seem better and worse. They are graded in skill not bearing

  • Good job but clearly that rifle its not real. Its a demilled replica

  • Yo he fucking killed that shit....

  • Awsome man

  • i would love for TX20105 to be able to do that someday:) we just got an armed drill team a few weeks ago and have done the homecoming arch and that's about it you are amazing!

  • One word: AMAZING.

  • that was awesome! im in NJROTC at my high school and we do similar if not exact spins you were doing. I agree it takes a lot of skill plus time. its took me months just to get the master spin right. it takes a lot of skill and talent to be able to spin the rifles. we use the 15 pound solid metal rifles with the slings

  • Marine or not that is still insane. Who cares? that takes skill.

  • Sir, you possess great skill with that rifle. I respect you.

    Resident of Malaysia, teenagers.

  • hey, all you haters... i would like to see you try. and yes, that is skill and discipline so there's no way you can say he has no skill. i mean, his rifle was spinning super fast and then he perfectly stops it while keeping his bearing. that's skill

  • That. Was nice. I gotta say that xD I just learned and hopefully someday I could drill like that xP But nice job and congrats ^^

  • Good job spinning, not so much with pinning. But still great job!

  • This guy isn't even a Marine on the silent drill platoon. I was for the last 2 years. This guy has no idea what he is doing and that rifle is not the one the Marines use anyway in drill. you have no bearing or discipline or even skill. That's just ROTC crap or something you made up

  • @whitmnky simmer down. I know quite a bit about what I'm doing with my rifle, thats why I took 1st place in my division and at this championship. Yes, I did choreograph that routine, and I won with it. No, it's not the rifle the SDP uses today but it is the one they used to use. And to be clear, the same Marines you're a part of are the same Marines who provided us with our rifles and uniforms because of how many Championships we won. If you hate it so much, take it up with your superiors.

  • Holy crap people, what's with the criticism?? Do people ask gymnasts why they do what they do? Whether or not this is "useful" in combat is irrelevant. The military isn't always about combat and killing. I can assure you the USMC gets plenty of time on the range. Rifle spinning is something that is done for entertainment and demonstrates practice and skill. How is it any different from any other skill? I think you did a superb job, man. My hat's off to you.

  • Just goes to show what a motivated marine and his rifle can do

  • @Gmez1407 he's not a marine, freakin JROTC

  • Why do the US military do that with their riffles?? Is it tradition or just for show of control over the weapon?

  • I like it when he spins the rifle.

  • A few mistakes, but the immense discipline and precise movements were absolutely fantastic.

  • cause thats useful...

  • @durkadurka915 meaning?

  • @SonofGenkai18 Meaning its not at all useful...

  • @aaran864 what do you mean by useful?

  • @SonofGenkai18 the definition of useful: "being of use or service; serving some purpose; advantageous or helpful"

  • @aaran864 um... I enjoy doing it. Seems useful enough to me.

  • @SonofGenkai18 you seem to be confusing usefulness with your reason for doing it... you have yet to prove that its is useful

  • @aaran864 it's just as useful as baseball, painting, music, etc. There doesn't need to be a "use" for it. It brings enjoyment to me and tens of thousands of other people. There is no need for it to be any more useful in order to exist. It does teach and refine hand eye coordination and the dedication I applied to this skill is something I've learned to apply to everything else I do, which is why I'm known around the country for a few other disciplines.

  • @SonofGenkai18 @SonofGenkai18 did I ever say that their needs to be a "use" for it? no. Was I saying that their is in fact no direct use for it? yes. Do I care care you are known for being good at several other useless disciplines?.....

  • @aaran864 whats the difference between "use" and "direct use"?

  • @SonofGenkai18 did I say there was a difference?..... I suppose "direct use" it probably more "direct" thus the word "direct"..... pretty self explanatory.

  • @aaran864 Direct use doesn't really make any sense. I'm not sure what you want me to say here. Is everything suppose to have a "use"? It's a skill, no different than catching a ball, or playing an instrument. What do you think should this be directly useful for?

  • @SonofGenkai18 A direct use of learning to play the guitar is to be able to play music or make your own an in direct one is that you increase your dexterity. The direct use of learning to catch a ball is to be able to play sports that require that skill... What do YOU want ME to say seeing as I simply explained what another youtuber clearly meant by saying 'cause thats useful' and some how you dragged me into a pointless argument that reflects the pointlessness of the "skill" it is about.

  • @aaran864 whats so useful about knowing how to play guitar (which I do) or playing sports (which I also do)?? How are those things any more useful than this?

  • @durkadurka915 It's to show the skill of the Marines I really don't see you doing this anytime soon.

  • @KillingJokes97 you quite clearly don't know me then, I do weapon drill, just not the spinning as there really isn't any point, yes it looks amazing but on parade what is the need for it? why spend probably hours doing this when you could improve the actual firing of the weapon?

  • @durkadurka915 I honestly don't see you doing this at all

  • @KillingJokes97 well as i said, you dont know me at all?

  • @durkadurka915 This guy has really put in a lot of effort and dedication to the drills. Give this man the credit he deserves . If you think this is a waste of time , this is the wrong video for you then.

  • it's a great Art! Respekt!!

  • Well done handling the U. S. Rifle, Cal. 7.62mm, M14 in a parade-worthy manner! At Washington, DC, the Services drill teams utilize the U. S. Rifles, Cal. .30, 1903A3 (Army, Air Force) and M1 (Marines) for this mission; they have a few inches on the M14.

  • Omg I'm on my afjrotc rifle team.and I know how hard it is to do those thing...this guy is sooooo good!

  • I would never treat a rifle in such a manner

  • @GagesChannel why not?

  • @GagesChannel it's a rifle probably disarmed not a child.

  • what....

  • You're really going to need that talent in the battlefield.

  • pffffffffffffffffff ! woooow ! amazing . congratulations from a french visitor fascinated by this kind of drill

  • Wow man, Sharp as hell.

  • why?

  • Pshhh I wish I could do that. I only started 2 weeks ago though. I'm in afjrotc. And we use the m1 which is about 10 lbs. But we also use some springfields

  • chuck norris can do this with 100 rifles that wiegh OVER 9000 pounds

  • @faceLoLROFL360 can he now? hes above 75 years old, hes just a man. stop making a god out of aformer tv star.

  • @caramelskater ........yes

  • Dude, your golden. Now stay gold

  • Useless skill.

  • @robost what do you mean useless, it teaches dicipline, strength, and intimidation, you sir are the one that is useless.

  • @PinoyBoy237 Not a very grown-up response, but if you are a 'boy', I will overlook it as a sign of immaturity appropriate to your age.

  • awesome

  • Awww gawd i dont wanna be in gay AFJROTC ima be like my dad and enlist into the Marine Corps.. but its better than gym

  • Man, our RD sucks compared to yours. JROTC/ROTC makes ours look like sh*t! Canadian monkey drill is nothing! >_> Mind teaching me a few GOOD styles/moves to teach my Sqn?

  • cocktail boss

  • @zapatodel42 it is true... I did apply these skills to bar tending not that long ago. it has paid off handsomely.

  • @ROVIC111295 hey I'm in AFJROTC also :D

  • Wow Amazing I'm in AFJROTC I want to know how much does that M14 weight because we use Daisy Springfield and its 8lb and its heavy.

  • @ROVIC111295 heavy? feeble much?

  • matt that shit is bad ass, not gonna lie! i was going to post some bs post if it sucked to boost your moral, but hell i dont even have to lie!! and to all the haters trying to tak hard, post your videos bitches, lets fucking see you do it! just sayin' dont run your mouth unless you can back it!

  • @rhenifin **talk, good thing your rifle spinning is better than my typing

  • The rifles weigh 10-12 pounds

  • fuckin amazing

  • Matt you should join the silent Drill platoon!

  • Comment removed

  • thats fuckin amazing

  • How much does that rifle weigh?

  • "say hello to my little friend"

  • I wonder how many times he smashed himself in the face practicing all of that insanity

  • @Zigamafa a lot of times. lol
