I have VMWare Fusion 3. There are choices of Windows 7 and Windows 7 x64. When I choose it, there are more isolated and more seamless.

yes well if you have 3.0 version you can just choose windows 7 in the os chooser. on older version u need to choose windows server

Mac has boot camp you don't need anything but the windows 7 disc and mac osX disc. That's it.

after u make the partition put in ur disc for win & then it will restart. later win setup will run it's gona ask u 2 pick the drive where u want to install it which is the drive which says bootcamp click on that & then at the bottom click on more options and click on format make sure that it's clicked on Boot Camp drive. after the format the drive name should be Untitled. click on that drive & then the rest is windows instalation hope that helped u

Windows 7 installed in under 40 min on my vmware fusion on my hackingtosh quad core 3gb ram.

The instalation doesn't take a lot of time, I made it work in 30 mins. with VirtualBox for OS X and not with VMWare. I think VirtualBox is better than VMWare.

I would certainly not recommend it, Kswish. It would work, but that would invalidate your copy of Windows, making it a non-genuine copy. I learned this the hard way. Non-genuine copies still get the same updates, and all, but you can't upgrade from one operating system to the other. Also, each PC has its own personal ID associated with the windows product so, for example, if you have home premium, you could pirate it multiple times, though it won't be genuine, you could still use it
