you've taught me how to throw a bowl! Thanks! I'd show you the pics of my newborn bowls if I could. Next goal is bigger bowls, centring, etc. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
I love your videos, they are very helpful! My instructor was telling me to throw the clay into a cylinder first and shape it into a bowl afterwards and to make the bottom broad and flat..I like your approach much better!
I was told by one of my tutors that the reason they ask us to draw the clay up 2 or 3 times was because new students don't often do it well on the first attempt.
It just seems utterly pointless doing it more than once when throwing larger amounts of clay as it is just wasted energy that could be used on another piece
To give an added dimension to the steps, it would be helpful if you would cut the sample in haff with the cut off string to see the wall shape and thickness of each step.
I am blown away because you have given me so many good tips in this video.
I have been coning my clay up and down probably til it's worn out - no wonder it gives me stress! Also, the way you lay out the stages is really helpful. Brilliant as always...
Hi simon great to see you back .Having recently posted an video with vocals i now can apreciate how difficult it is to throw and talk at the same time and how easy you make it look... Cudos to you.
I`ve attached the video to prove this. It has a couple of tips i find useful.
This is an excellent video!! Thank you, Simon

Simon-
Thank you for the "V" tip for the inside of the bowl...it's visually more appealing and looks like a better work flow....I'll try it in the morning!
