how do you get to play the battle of britain on this game? under the RAF there's only a pacific campaign on mine ?

Plus the maker of the game's .303s are useless, will take all of the ammo and not get a kill on a he111, the ai gunners will explode a spit in a 1 sec burst from the he111s. One day maddox will get it right but have more faith in the modders.

Not to be critical, but the spitfires used in the this movie have the 2 20mm cannons. The spitfire MKV which included these cannons did not appear till 1942. The spitfires used in the BoB were spitfires MK1 which used 8 .303mm machine guns.

Yeah I know,this was my first ever il2 movie and was made before I knew about Mods and Modding so I used a Default Mk-V Spifire as the game does NOT have a Mk-I Spitfire in Default Aircraft Menu.

However if you watch Battle of Britain(HD)Adler Tag. Part 2 in my Profile Page you will see that it has been Modded and the Mk I Spitfire is there along with Mk-I Hurricane.

@1epic1 Actually the MkV debut was March 1941. But in 1940 a small number of Mk1's were fitted with 20mm's and typed as Mk1b's and were flown for a short time by 19Sqn during the height of the Battle of Britain. Later in 1940 some Mk2's were also re-armed with 20mm's and served with 92 sqn.The main difference between the Mk1 and V was the more powerful engine in the latter. MkV's were basically Mk1's re-engined and re-armed. So visually the movie is not that far off.

@1epic1 The Mk V actually first appeared in 1941.

Also there was a squadron of cannon-armed Spitfires used in the later stages of the BoB but the early cannons were prone to jamming, hence why only one squadron had them

There were Many different IL-2 Battle of Britain movies before I did mine but In a different style.

I have seen your work and you more than have the ability to produce a great quality movie but from a new point of view.

I flew planes with joystick and recorded and recorded mission as a track.

Then using a video capture tool called FRAPS I then imported files into Windows Movie Maker and made this movie.

I have made part 2 to this movie and all my other vids are in my profile.

Yeah I know but I made this film before I had Mods and NO Mk-I Spitfire available in default Spitfire menu.

In part 2 of this movie however the correct Mk-I Spit has replaced Mk-V.

Excellent, going to see part two after I write this. One criticism, and it has to do with the "grammar" of film. You start with the bombers flying to the left of the screen (right to left, from mainland Europe). When you cut to the first image of the British fighters, they to are flying to the left (right to left, from the British Isles) As you can see, both Europe and Britain are to the right. So my first impression of the British fighters were that they were defending the bombers. (cont)

I knew in a half second that they were not defending the bombers because they were Britis, but that was my first thought. So to keep that mix up from happening in film, when two opposing sides are heading to each other, if one goes to the left of the screen, the other goes to the right of the screen. This way you are telling your audience they are going to meet up coming from two separate locations.

Otherwise man, great imagery and action. Glad you picked Holst for your music.

I wanted to show the RAF fighters attacking in an "Approach Turning" manouver in which the fighters fly towards the bombers but not directly at them but paralell normaly from starboard then they turn and attack from dead astern of the bombers.
