This is very hard for me, but I have to say this. Before I became a christian I had a few abortians. I hate myself for this now, I have prayed and asked the Lord for forgiveness I only pray that some girl sees this and hears in my words how horrible I feel today for doing what I did, I pray she stops and thinks about it so she never has to feel the pain that I still feel. This is something I will never get over. I pray that this song helps many young woman to not make the same mistakes.

I am pro life and want to adopt one day. I feel abortion is only remotely justifiable in situations like ectopic pregnancy where the mother's life is in extreme danger and the baby won't live. That is it.

I used to bve against abortion with all my heart! I said it was murder. But when I myself, found myself in that position, I finally understood! I was pregnant for the first time and I had my beautiful daughter!! But three years later, I was pregnant again but with another man I didn't love. This is the first time I hear this song in 25 years! It inspired me to write a paper for my college class, just months after having an abortion. Yes, I did go to planned parenthood and yes I am black. I was the one who suggested I get an abortion. I wanted to get rid of my morning sickness. I really didn't understand that I would have post-abortive syndrome for many years to come.

Fantastic... My daughter's son died .. He was 28 weeks when the placenta broke and my daughter almost died. The baby had organ failure immediately and had two surgeries within two weeks of birth. He lived 18 days and died in his Mothers arms, they have never gotten over the loss of that precious little boy and neither has his big brother.. So , I think this song refers to that sort of loss also.

My heart goes out for every parent who has lost a baby in some way not by choice. I believe for some reason..things like this happen for a reason. It breaks my heart for you that wanted a baby so much and it could not continue the term. I adopted two wonderful sons 23 and 25 years ago and I know how many desperate families are out there wanting a child to love. I went for international adoption, as there were many years waiting here for a baby. It's become so expensive to adopt now that I doubt I would be able to do it. My first son is now a U.S. Marine and youngest a creative writer and student. I thank God that their birth mothers chose to give them life and me a chance to be a mom.

At the time, the thought of how many were white and how many were black never entered my mind. But you do bring up a good point that Planned Parenthood DOES target black babies for abortion more than white. They locate many of their centers in primarily black communities.

I don't understand why the government doesn't promote organizations that promote the advancement of lower working class individuals. The more training a person has the higher pay they get. That was part of the reason why during the progressive era communities formed a sort of learning center that promoted the education of adults.

I am 19 years old On mothers day of this year I misscarried my baby the pain of losing my child was more than I ever wanted to go through, now my doctor tells me I might never carry a child to full term. At 19 I have to live with the fact that I may never have a baby of my own. How can anyone MURDER a child. The question has been asked, "what if it is a rape situation?" I still believe that the child should live, my pregnancy happend because of a rape but that was still my baby!

My aunt was dianosed with liver cancer while she was pregnant with my cousin. She was told they could get it out but the meds and surgery would kill the baby. She said she would rather die than abort her baby. The baby grew up small but now shes 21 and healthy. My aunt died of that same cancer 10 years after they found it. They said because she didn't get it removed then it was too late now but she got to watch her baby be born and grow to a beautiful little girl.

This song is so powerful. In the mid 60's when my mom was pregnant with my brother, the doctor thought she had a tumor and wanted to remove it. She told the doctor that she thought she was pregnant and wanted to wait. A month later the doctor told her she was right. About 5 or 6 months later she had a healthy 81/2 pound baby boy. Thank God she went with her instints and waited.

You know what we need to do? Take the children. Find women who are going to have abortions, talk with them, help them raise their children. Build a network that can help them. And then, in God's name, if they still want to abort, tell them "I will take the child." We have Christians adopting children who aren't wanted - but at least they are alive! My biological mother gave birth to me in the midst of having a mother who was an alcoholic and whose boyfriend was abusing her, as she also struggled with drug use. One of my sisters was born with crossed legs and severe cerebral palsy, and doctors said she would not live past age five. Even though her life was hard and she could not communicate, she touched many lives. Not only that, but she proved those doctors wrong -- she lived to see age 26, that is 21 years longer than they said. I know, I was very sick when I got pregnant, and was on very damaging medications.... 4 doctors told me to terminate my pregnancy. They said he would not have a normal life. I refused and left it in God's hands. I had a healthy baby boy 6 lbs 13 oz. PERFECT. I would not have known the joys he would bring. He will thank me later.

I read your post on the video "What was I supposed to be" and I commend you for your honesty. I know that a lot of young girls are terrified and pressured into abortion. Absolutely, God will forgive you for having an abortion, just like he will forgive anyone for any other sin. I'm here if you need a friend :)
our unborn lives They really think they have the right, morning,noontime,day or night. To take away our lives we hold so dear, and throw them away out of all their fear. We are so small we cannot fight, or speak out loud to save our life. They took our lives out of fear, afraid to loose the fun they love so dear. They ground us up and sucked us out, without a thought a tear or doubt. Now were dead but our souls still live, we have but one question left where was our right to live.
People that get abortions aren't soulless and stupid and evil. They are people that are in situations where they feel that having a baby is not the right time for whatever reason. It's not anyone's place to judge. That decision is theirs and God gave people the right to make their own decisions. Whether they be right or wrong, it is not our right to take that away.
What about the right of the baby to live? When someone decides to have an abortion they're telling that baby, you have to die because I don't want you. Well my question is this, what possible reason could there be that an abortion is absolutely necessary and the baby couldn't be put up for adoption? Abortionisits are trained not to say baby. Look up the video of an abortion being performed and see what you support. The tapes exist you just have to look.

I've done some research on abortion and really tried to see abortion from the pro-choice view despite what i believe. I still came to the same point. Abortion is murder and there is no scientific or religious arguments that can justify it. Life begins at conception, this is a scientific fact.

I don't think babies get a soul until they have a brain capable of holding human-level intelligence. That would be somewhere around T-minus-6 months. (i.e. a 3 month old fetus)
So some have decided that one must have a brain capable of human level intelligence....? What does that say to those who have low intelligence? And as for being human....it is the least among us that we should protect. Not base it on "intelligence"....something very subjective, anyway.
Where did you conclude this info? From your human-level intelligence? And does the soul somehow pop it at the right time or does God do the inventory?

This is very hard for me, but I have to say this. Before I became a christian I had a few abortians. I hate myself for this now, I have prayed and asked the Lord for forgiveness I only pray that some girl sees this and hears in my words how horrible I feel today for doing what I did, I pray she stops and thinks about it so she never has to feel the pain that I still feel. This is something I will never get over. I pray that this song helps many young woman to not make the same mistakes.

I can understand how hard and painful it is for you when you had those abortions. But keep this in mind: you're a Christian and you've prayed for God's forgiveness of those sins, and He has! :) You know what's even more great? I'm sure your aborted children in Heaven have forgiven you, too! ;)

I used to bve against abortion with all my heart! I said it was murder. But when I myself, found myself in that position, I finally understood! I was pregnant for the first time and I had my beautiful daughter!! But three years later, I was pregnant again but with another man I didn't love. This is the first time I hear this song in 25 years! It inspired me to write a paper for my college class, just months after having an abortion. Yes, I did go to planned parenthood and yes I am black. I was the one who suggested I get an abortion. I wanted to get rid of my morning sickness. I really didn't understand that I would have post-abortive syndrome for many years to come.
I thank GOD for healing, now, but even my family suffered from my decision.

Fantastic... My daughter's son died .. He was 28 weeks when the placenta broke and my daughter almost died. The baby had organ failure immediately and had two surgeries within two weeks of birth. He lived 18 days and died in his Mothers arms, they have never gotten over the loss of that precious little boy and neither has his big brother.. So , I think this song refers to that sort of loss also.

My heart goes out for every parent who has lost a baby in some way not by choice. I believe for some reason..things like this happen for a reason. It breaks my heart for you that wanted a baby so much and it could not continue the term. I believe that abortion by choice in the decision of not wanting the baby is wrong and is defined very different to those who could not fully go to term.

I adopted two wonderful sons 23 and 25 years ago and I know how many desperate families are out there wanting a child to love. I went for international adoption, as there were many years waiting here for a baby. It's become so expensive to adopt now that I doubt I would be able to do it. My first son is now a U.S. Marine and youngest a creative writer and student. I thank God that their birth mothers chose to give them life and me a chance to be a mom.

The youth need to be taught sex before marriage is wrong. Instead they're being taught that it's okay as long as it's "safe sex". The problem with Planned Parenthood is that when someone comes in with an unplanned pregnancy, PP is far to quick to suggest abortion and far to slow to suggest other alternatives such as adoption. Planned Parenthood makes BIG money from doing abortions. They also continue to lobby for all forms of abortion to be legal throughout all 9 months of pregnancy. Planned Parenthood is the largest murderer of unborn babies in the United States and a LARGE percentage are black.

At the time, the thought of how many were white and how many were black never entered my mind. But you do bring up a good point that Planned Parenthood DOES target black babies for abortion more than white. They locate many of their centers in primarily black communities.

I don't understand why the government doesn't promote organizations that promote the advancement of lower working class individuals. The more training a person has the higher pay they get. That was part of the reason why during the progressive era communities formed a sort of learning center that promoted the education of adults.

Absolutely beautiful video to go with this song. I gave a speech in college about abortion and it's affect on all those touched by it (especially the babies aborted) and I included this song with lyrics at the end. There was not a dry eye in the classroom when I was finished. I am sooo thakful that I made the right choice for myself and children. I was pregnant at the age of 15, 17, 19.. My mother tried her best to get to to abort them. They are sooo beautiful! I know some may look down on me for not keeping them, but I was an addict and how could I have taken care of them when I couldnt care for me.
God has blessed me with a beautiful 7 year old. He seen I was ready to have a child, and she is all I could ever dream of having. Along with my Husband God Gave me!

@jmhelm5 I was adopted when i was around 3 or 4 grade. Life is not easy when you been in and out of foster homes. Things were bad in my life. My life got better when I gave my heart to Jesus. I learned to let things Go and Let God take care of everything.

My aunt was dianosed with liver cancer while she was pregnant with my cousin. She was told they could get it out but the meds and surgery would kill the baby. She said she would rather die than abort her baby. The baby grew up small but now shes 21 and healthy. My aunt died of that same cancer 10 years after they found it. They said because she didn't get it removed then it was too late now but she got to watch her baby be born and grow to a beautiful little girl.

andwood. I too lost babies. 5. All born to God's arms. I lost all at about 16 weeks due to something that even today the Doctor's can figure out. I often wonder what my babies were supposed to be. 4 girls and one boy. What were they supposed to be? *wipes tears*
Not all babies are lost due to abortion. Some of us have lost babies for no fault of our own and we grieve their loss every day.

This sond is not just about abortion, it is about babies that don't live. My son was 26w gestation and had a blood clot in his cord. He didn't live. So when I read comments about how sad it is about the babies killed from abortion.. Think about us mothers who didn't get to have our babies cause they didn't make it. When I hear this song, I think of what my precious boy should have been!! He should be here with me and I didn't have a choice. It breaks my heart!

@andwood4179 I cant say I know from a mothers standpoint but my sister was stillborn my mom was bleeding and they thought nothing of it my sisters cord had came undone and she bled to death. I miss her everyday even though she is 2 years older than me.....I wonder what she was supposed to be. Jessica I love you big sister!! <3

@andwood4179 I feel the same way for the same reason. My wife was just over 4 weeks along when we found out our child had already died. This coming October (2011) my child would be turning 20. I cry every time I hear this song.

This song is so powerful. In the mid 60's when my mom was pregnant with my brother, the doctor thought she had a tumor and wanted to remove it. She told the doctor that she thought she was pregnant and wanted to wait. A month later the doctor told her she was right. About 5 or 6 months later she had a healthy 81/2 pound baby boy. Thank God she went with her instints and waited.

I love this song because It makes you think of all those little babies that dont even get the chance, they are punished for being made. those lives arnt ours to take. we dont get pregnangt by mistake, God has a plan for EVERY individual born, and for those childrent that wernt given a chance they are already in heaven enjoying thier lives up there for eternity! Maybe it's just the mood I'm in, but this song made me cry so much when I read the lyrics.
You know what we need to do? Take the children. Find women who are going to have abortions, talk with them, help them raise their children. Build a network that can help them. And then, in God's name, if they still want to abort, tell them "I will take the child." We have Christians adopting children who aren't wanted - but at least they are alive! But these kids - if they don't have us, they will die.

my daughter is now almost 3 yrs old. she was born of a mother who had 3 other kids and no husband. they were very poor so she gave up her baby. i thank God she had her baby instead of killing her so that my husband and i could be blessed with our beautiful little girl. she has brought us so much joy. please please do not choose abortion. your baby could mean so much to someone. i cannot imagine life without my sweet daughter.

my mother was only five months pregnant with me when she went into labor... the doc gave her some type of shot to stop the labor. afterward he told her i probably wouldn't live anyway. he wanted her to have an abortion, she said no and here i am 22 years later healthy as an ox

My biological mother gave birth to me in the midst of having a mother who was an alcoholic and whose boyfriend was abusing her, as she also struggled with drug use. She had already had one abortion three years earlier. I am grateful that she carried me to term so that she and my biological father could place me for adoption. I love my parents and am happy to be here. I believe that I have an impact on the world and that certain people's lives just wouldn't be right without me.

This song really touches me, My twin brother never was born. I found out my father got upset when my mother told him she is going to have twins. he best her in the stomach. My brother died, I lived.. It is weird I feel a connection with him still, I also was badly abused as a child. I was forced to have many abortions. I know Jesus is holding each one. This song touches my heart.. One of my sisters was born with crossed legs and severe cerebral palsy, and doctors said she would not live past age five. Even though her life was hard and she could not communicate, she touched many lives. Not only that, but she proved those doctors wrong -- she lived to see age 26, that is 21 years longer than they said. Imagine all the lives that would not have been touched had my parents decided to not let her be born, knowing her condition. Here's to you, Diane.

Excellent comment by "dodgyhingst" -- start giving loving homes to all those unwanted little black babies, the handicapped, the babies of teenagers and impoverished women. Once you've each adopted your quota of these babies, then speak out against abortion. Agree late term and partial birth abortion is horrible.

I know, I was very sick when I got pregnant, and was on very damaging medications.... 4 doctors told me to terminate my pregnancy. They said he would not have a normal life. I refused and left it in God's hands. I had a healthy baby boy 6 lbs 13 oz. PERFECT. I would not have known the joys he would bring. He will thank me later.

I thought hey, what about these commercials asking for donations to poor children in third world countries, should they be killed as well to deliver them out of their poverty? People that get abortions aren't soulless and stupid and evil. They are people that are in situations where they feel that having a baby is not the right time for whatever reason. It's not anyone's place to judge. That decision is theirs and God gave people the right to make their own decisions. Whether they be right or wrong, it is not our right to take that away.

Well my question is this, what possible reason could there be that an abortion is absolutely necessary and the baby couldn't be put up for adoption? Abortionisits are trained not to say baby. I've done some research on abortion and really tried to see abortion from the pro-choice view despite what i believe. I still came to the same point. Abortion is murder and there is no scientific or religious arguments that can justify it. Life begins at conception, this is a scientific fact.
