@pancho133 WRONG, its a mistake. MATE is originary of THE PARAGUAY, of the GUARANIES indians and of the missions. Do you know the MENSU?? Originary of the antique PARAQUARIA, Argentina not existed 400 years ago, PARAGUAY is the FATHER of the Argentina and of the pioners argentinians. ILEX PARAGUAYENSIS=MATE. Sorry man, I demand more respect for the truth. Paraguay, braves guarani peoples land...
Did the camera guy say boiling is 132 degrees? lol. it's 100C or 212F. Btw, still hoping for an answer to the first comment here, about whether the bombilla goes in the valley side or the mountain side and why.
Great video. Thank you! My only questions are : 1.)What is the purpose of the mate mountain, and what is the purpose of continually reshaping the mountain? 2.) When drinking the mate, is the bottom of the "straw thingy" supposed to be in the mountain, on the side of the mountain, or completely outside of the mountain and WHY one or the either?
I am so glad that you posted this video. I've watch a lot of these and this one seemed like the best way to really get the most out of the herb...Thank you thank you!! I am just waiting for my first gourd in the mail...can't wait to drink yerba the right way!!!
Excelente Santiago!! Mira para un perdido "gallego", ando preguntando, cuando t acabas el primer mate y cebas el segundo, como se cambia la bombilla de posicion y por donde se echa el agua, y tambien como se ensilla un mate. Gracias!! Excelente explicacion.

@mathi2214 eh, WRONG! this is more like a guarani indian thing, who, btw, were never in uruguay, but in paraguay, argentina, brazil and bolivia.....
sebensoph 1 year ago
@sebensoph wrong? you have to know you was preparing that mate with uruguayan yerba "canarias". canarias.com.uy
mate is different in each country, as well you say, also because each has a different yerba .. So this is mate Uruguayo.
greetings

@ReadBoutGarvey try using your hand to put it sideways, and then slowly put it back upright. SLOWLY ... and then pour water at a slow pace.
Cheers
