Who is the man in the ad? The nescafe founder? Was he actually on the packaging at the time, or is it just for the sake of the advert? Analysing Nescafe and Twinings ads for A2 critical research :)

I think they used the Concorde clip to illustrate that the Nscafe they're selling is state-of-the-art or something. Visual association - but it's a little too weird for us born after the Cold War.

And I agree: when they use prefix "über" indicates above, In 1978, Concorde was an über airplane and Nescafé was un über coffee.
