Hi. The Suez Canal is a great engeniring achievment which Im for it 100%. But there has been a environmental damage . Its known for some years now that many species of fish from the Red Sea have moved to the eastern Mediterranean caussing a great deal of damage to the auctotonous species there. Something most be done to try to stop this.

the piracy off of somalia is taking a toll now on Canal traffic. the Egyptian govt makes a considerable sum each year on tolls, so they might want to help put an end to the piracy around the corner from them.
