OK simple answer to the Caroline/GLaDOS question. During Portal 2, Cave Johnson makes a comment about sticking a human brain into a computer, and says if you can't use his, use Caroline's. Unused voice data strongly implies that Caroline wanted no part of this experiment, and was in fact put into the computer against her will. Thus she goes insane and tries to murder everyone. Thus, Caroline can be said to be GLaDOS' original personality, aka part of GLaDOS, not GLaDOS herself.

it's not an easter egg. in the commentaries they explain that their beta testers managed to get themselves stuck without being able to complete the puzzle. in response to this that created escape hatches

@wolfrapter it's not a glitch, a glitch is something that the developers overlooked, this is infact part of what they did. There are several points in the game where u can trap urself with no way of escaping, so these little scripts are made so if u trap urself, GlaDos helps u get out.

I did this a few days ago, except I used both the cameras to keep the door open, push the cube the opening, and then somehow both the cameras fell inside and the door closed with everything inside it. Luckily GLaDOS was nice enough to open the door for me. =D

@DaComputaMasta If a play is tricky enough to do this trick, then it is assumed that they know how solve the puzzle normally, and giving another cube would cluster the room and create a possibility for infinite cubes.

Portal still alive is an expansion off of portal and has a few extra bonus levels and challenges. Currently portal still alive is only available on Xbox but you aren't missing anything too special so don't worry about it. Cant wait till second portal releases :)

And in one of the early rooms with 2 cubes and 2 buttons, try doing this:

1. Put the cubes in buttons

2. Door opens, fire portal inside.

3. Take the cubes, stack them and climb to the thing where the orange portal is (because its one of the early levels, you don't have the portal gun with blue and orange)

4. Go to take a cube with you to orange portal and GlaDOS would tell you something :D
