  • grab his throat and empty the clip in his face

  • haha nice.

  • this dude points out the obvious a lot. "the weapon is only dangerous where its pointed" no shit!

  • Now try it when he's not at point blank range.

  • I dont mean to talk this down by no means, it might work luckily I have never been in this situation. However if I was going to pull a gun on someone to shoot them I would not be that close to them in the first place I would be further away myself but hopefully it does work for someone and you just saved a life. Good on ya!!!

  • Yeah.... I would actually shot his knee caps and then kick him a bit. I have been robed before and I got a good beating but I fought back and the fools spent time in jail.

  • oat oat oat oat!

  • 1:36- Buzz Lightyear.

  • what is the gun is sideways? you know how most thuglife idiots hold the gun?

  • @mongoosevsgt actually it jams the gun and sometimes wont even fire. if you go to a gun range, the guy will stop you from firing it that way :)

  • cz75 sp01 shadow ftw

  • Badass don't say I would ever hope to be in that position but it would be cool to see the look on someones face when you snatch their gun

  • Or u could Carry ur own peice. I always carry my 1911 awesome stopping power

  • @vesicularekiller i agree with you, the only person you will ever disarm is an idiot who gets to close. i have trained to disarm people in le, and military. any criminal with any sense at all will not get close enough for you to disarm him. better to be able to see a threat comming and be armed.

  • eehm i have a question, if you grab the gun, and the gun happens to be a 9mm glock, the guy pulled the trigger while the gun is in your hand, the slide of the glock would slide forwards, your hand would sliced open badly right ? and btw i never shot a gun, but does the gun get hot after you/he fired the bullet ? and could it potentially give you a nasty burn wound ?

  • 1:06 At This Point, A Semi-Automatic Pistol, If Fired Would Spend A Hot Shell STRAIGHT Into His Eye # Just Saying :)

  • You guys are stupid.

You shoot your assailant, the police have no other evidence but that you shot him, and they will assume you murdered him.

  • but this only works if his hand isnt in the trigger right?

  • @jorgeorgept No. This BREAKS the finger if it's in the trigger guard. OF COURSE, Krav Maga, on the other hand, teaches you to REDIRECT the weapon with your hand, coming straight up from UNDERNEATH where it's less detectable, which is A LOT QUICKER than actually taking a STEP TOWARDS YOUR ASSAILANT, which most certainly will get you SHOT.

  • if that motherfucker was ready to take my life, you bet your ass i'm going to take his....

  • @marar0909 I completely agree. Sometimes, There are just some people that are better off painted on the wall.

  • That guy was so eager to ponit that gun at him

  • So many ill comments about the police here. Are they really so bad in your country? o_o

I'm from Sweden btw and I trust them fully to protect and do their job.

  • @Nintendoggy yeah, they're pretty frikin bad dude,my friend was gunned down by one of them with barely a warning...

  • @Nintendoggy lucky!!!!!!!!!! Police here are like he has a gun!!! and bust like 2 mags into you and say it was a accident later -.-

  • shoot him

  • I think he forgot the last step, "Shoot the motherfucker."

  • all the guides like this teach you to disarm a gun but they never tell you what to do when the guy is holding the weapon with both arms

  • Take the gun to the police !!?! FUCK that keep that bitch or sell it

  • this guys fucking quick!

  • If I got that gun from the killer I would have shot both his legs so he could´t run, then beat the shit out of him then after a little lesson, I would turn him in to the police ;)

  • Duh if you leave the weapon he will shoot you

  • It would be funny if he accidently shot him

  • is the attacker going to be standing still like that? I don't think so!

  • @dogzer Most of the time; yes. Most of the armed crimes are comitted by amateurs, so it's pretty logical they don't know what to do while robbing someone.

  • @iTziiMuNeZz I think I'd get so nervous I'd accidentally force the other guy to shoot me on my crotch anyway, I better give him the money instead, why doesn't this guy recommends that or something like that?

  • @dogzer Because you typed in the Search-Bar: How To Disarm a Gun.

You didn't type; How To Give a Robber Your Money

  • @iTziiMuNeZz I typed "how to survive safely to an armed guy who just wants your wallet"... and this video comes out? suggesting you should try grabbing the attacker's gun no matter what? that's how people die, man!

  • @dogzer Are you serious? FAIL.

  • @iTziiMuNeZz nope no video how to give a robber your money

  • @Chrissalvation It was an example. Not a fact.

  • Cops are DEFINETLY NOT going to be holding a guy with one hand.

  • He does the disarm really fast.

  • Make a run for it lol

  • Take the weapon to the police? Yea right!!! You're better off letting the criminal shoot you instead.

These idiot cops will make you swiss cheese and ask questions later. Take the gun and throw it in the river.

  • @xd40guy

You must be joking because that is far from what they do. They are only allowed to shoot once shot upon or in cases of need. Additionally, it is legal to carry a gun and therefore will not open fire on anybody carrying a gun.

  • @luckey313 Don't kid yourself. Obviously you don't read news headlines. Remember Amadou Diallo?? NYPD's finest fired 41 shots and hit him 19 times for pulling out a wallet. Great shooting, huh?? People get abused by the system like this all the time. I've been living in the NYC area all my life. Police officers are not your friends. Remember that. They are only mobsters with a badge.

Like I said.. Take that gun and throw it in the river.. End of story.

  • @xd40guy

Wow, I can't believe that's your reasoning. Police always state not to do anything but what they say. If they saw someone reaching for something they only have a split second to think, and the 41 rounds was split between 4 officers. I carry a firearm myself and not one officer has stopped me, let alone draw on me. Police officers work for the public; they are paid to protect. Throwing the gun in the river is a terrible idea.

  • @luckey313 First of all, you don't live in the Tri-State Area. You are lucky in that sense. I also own firearms, but can't carry because you either need to be in bed with a politician, or be big brother. Consider yourself living in a different country.

This area has no carry permit reciprocity. Try traveling up north to a pro-carry state like Vermont through the Tri-State. YOUR ASS WILL BE NAILED TO THE WALL!! Make sure you bring $5000.00 for a retainer. I have a good attorney for you.

  • @luckey313 Police officers are paid to protect. Too bad many of them chose to abuse their position of power and become sociopaths and violent criminals as bad as those they claim to protect us from. I will teach my kids to always be weary of police.

  • @xd40guy hahaha thats funny

  • @xd40guy and dont forget to hide the mag and bullets, we dont want a 12 year old cod player to find it well do we?

  • @xd40guy Lay down the gun (under the seat) in the car,, drive to a police station and tell them the story and about the gun.

  • @Brainfogged LOL!! Nah..my days are usually sooo busy. I don't think I'll have the time to do that. I'm sooo heartbroken by it too. I will give it to a good samaritan (A REAL SUCKER) to turn it in. That person might have spare time to get investigated and cross-checked for a criminal background for hours way before even being taken seriously. You know what?? That river still sounds good to me...

  • @xd40guy xD I don't know in what country u live, but i'm pretty sure that in Holland they will hear you're story. Cause why would u go to a police station for turning yourself in? It sounds more logic to me that real criminals would make it dissapear ;-)

  • @Brainfogged

You have obviously not experienced the stupidity and lack of education of American police.

  • @xd40guy I live in New York. It's not easy to just walk into a Police Station and hand in a gun or even imply that you have one in your possession. Believe it or not, you will be treated as a criminal. A simple deed like that can cause unnecessary trouble.

What if you forgot that you had an unpaid parking ticket? Now you run a chance of spending a weekend in County Jail. Do you need that? I will go through all that trouble if it was to save a child's life, otherwise...the river is best!!

  • @xd40guy

    Truest words ever spoken.

  • @alexandro420 Thank you.

  • @xd40guy what if there isn't a river near by?

  • @JustAnotherSniper12 LOL!!! I'll call the local police station and ask them where the nearest river is!!

  • @xd40guy fuck that keep it as a trophy saying i kicked a guys ass for that

  • @devilmoose3 LOL..Hey I actually like that. I need to pistol whip him a little bit too to humiliate him.

  • @xd40guy yeah go to the police station waving the gun in the air... moron...

  • @alahad ??? Obvious you ate lots of paint chips.

  • @xd40guy You're a dumb ass as long as you don't go in waving the gun around like some ghetto shit head they won't shoot you

  • @crash09er LOL!! Sure.... I'll tell you what. Anytime you are in the NYC area please let me know. I will personally give you a weapon so you can try your moronic theory. Please have a WILL or a great ATTORNEY in place.

  • @xd40guy i'm not a dumbass i didn't mean go in holding the gun put it in a clear plastic bag and walk in holding the bag not the gun any trained police officer knows how to deal with the situation

  • @xd40guy naw i wouldnt tell the cops...i would keep the gun as souvenir

  • @xd40guy or keep it as a prize :D

  • @xd40guy Just put the gun in a bag and hand it to them?

  • The best defense against an armed robber... A CONCEALED WEAPONS PERMIT AND A MAGNUM .357 REVOLVER ON UR HIP AT ALL TIMES! Maybe a kevlar vest just 2 b on the safe side ;-D

  • Remember the basic advantage of a gun, Fire it from a distance. step at least 3/4m backwards * Be Aware * always check your back, there is a good chance the mugger isn't alone and brought some friends just in case. People i hope you never have to face such a situation! And goodday everyone!

  • You mean fire at them once you grab right??

  • i don't care, when i grab the gun im just gonna shoot

  • So why is it every time u see a gun fight in surveillance videos, people just run the other direction as fast as possible

  • De un pove apuntandote con una pistola no te salva nadie, no os creais toda esta mierda....

  • or u carry a gun yourself so u wont need to disarm them

  • @futuredoc18 What I don't understand is why people stand that close when they rob people. If I robbed someone I would stand 5 or 6 yards away and tell them to throw the wallet. Getting close enough for them to reach you is just asking for trouble.

  • @6117240 It's a method of discretion. The further back they are, the more attention it would attract.

  • any criminal worth his position probably wouldnt stand that close to the victim, idk im just saying i would be 5-6 feet away and then make them comply, there is no way i would be close enough to smell the dudes breath.

  • I would just wait for spiderman........

  • i'd probably shoot him in the shoulder. and then cry.

  • is it a real gun

  • En Mexico si haces eso hay otros 4 que traen metralletas dispuestos a dejarte como coladera

  • what you can also do is if the handgun has a firing hammer

and when you disarm him you put your left or right hand between the firing hammer and the pin so when he fires the hammer will strike your hand and not the pin therefor you wont get shot then disarm from there

  • In the state of PA, you are not allowed to defend yourself with lethal force. The only justification if if you are backed into a corner with no means of escape. Should a gunman approach you and you performed any self defense techniques that lead to the shooting of the attacker, you have just committed a felony and the gunman is now the victim who will be let off scott free.... this is why you have to be aware of your area's laws or doing this could end up landing you in jail for self defense

  • @CradleInTheCrater Why the hell would you live there, then?

The best self defense technique in PA is move to another state.

  • @NeroNekoHeart exactly my point. PA is one of those places that will screw over anyone who is more than a little assertive.

  • wow that was amazing i take shotokan and we do lots of tough training but that was brilliant!!!

  • i have one good question. what strategy should i use if the attacker will stay at distance? how can i reduce the distance in order to use this technique and not beeing shot?

  • @alucardseperdalv invisibilty

  • @alucardseperdalv If they're at a distance and you aren't armed (or maybe even if you are, all depends on your ability and the situation) then your best bet is to just run for it. Try not to turn straight around and run directly from them though if you can avoid it, run to either the left or right if you can and in a serpentine (zig-zag) pattern, that will make you a much more difficult target. If you just turn around and run straight, you're still a very easy target.

  • @darkdeathwind nice tip :) thanks you

  • @alucardseperdalv dude don;t listen to darkdeathwind. that was a horrible tip. If the assailant keeps his distance then he knows what hes doing and youre as good as dead anyway. Your best bet is that maybe he'll show mercy.

  • @astralfarts :D

  • @darkdeathwind What do I do if he comes after me and I pull the trigger and there are no bullets in it, or It jams. I mean we know nothing about this guy"s gun. If I'm close enough to take his gun cant I just go ahead and kick him in the groin while I'm at it? then him running away or coming after me won't be much of an issue

  • How can he reach for the sky if he's on the ground? :D

  • give it to them as evidence...with your fingerprints all over it

  • @hooah411 Thought about fingerprints on the ammunition in the clip?

  • @hooah411 Thought about fingerprints on the ammunition in the clip?

  • Any technique against anyone who's not within arm's length?

  • so dammn fast the second time

  • all good in theroy but when someone is actually doing this i dought you will think to do it ull be too scared n do anything he says plus what if it dont work he might block it then ur gonner get a cap in ur ass :-(

  • watch him use the same technuiqe....

  • what if they are holding the gun properly with both hands?

  • This is stupid. What are the chances that someones gonne stand that close while only holding the gun with one hand...?

If someone is holding you at gunpoint, most likely they would make you lay down like the guy getting disarmed in this video... Rather explain how you're gonna get out THAT situation!

  • @Ervik85 The chances are pretty high actually. An average confrontation involving a civilian victim occurs at 3-5 feet. He'll probably be holding the gun with one hand so he can steal your belongings with the other hand. The idea of this is to make your move and get the weapon from him before he does make you lay on the ground. I'd say if it's between trying this and being killed, I'd try it.

  • if someone points a gun and i feel in any danger imma try my hardest to take the gun and kill the person as fast as possible dont point a gun at someone unless you are gonna use it

  • @ss5dojo Your comment brings to mind an passage from the 'Jaws 2' novel (totally awesome and underrated book btw), where a police officer finds himself held up by a mobster with a sawn-off.

The whole excerpt is too long to write, but the officer answers your question to himself:

"You never willingly cut off one second of your time"

    Food for thought.

  • haha youre canadian. :I oh well. at least i learned this shit! :DD thanks lol

  • @ss5dojo heres what you do If he wants your wallet Give it to him then cancel everything as soon as you get home :\ I agree if hes going to kill you any way its worth a shot but there is no true self deffence from a gun And just remember to grab the back of the gun not the front and jam it if your going to do this if it has a hammer stick your hand in the way and if its a revolver ether grab where the hammer goes or the cylander :)

  • THERE IS NO DEFFENCE AGAINST A GUY WITH A GUN CHANCES ARE YOU WILL NOT GET TO GRAB THE GUN THE GUNMAN WILL SHOOT YOU, YOU WOULD NEED EXTREAMLY FAST REFLEXES IN ORDER TO BEABLE TO DO ANY OF THIS realselfdefense? lol good one :) you wouldnt have any time to do any of this with some one with a gun the moment that you went with that motion to come in is more then enough for a gunman to pull the triger :\

  • Heres an opinion of mine. I was held at gunpoint from someone I thought was a friend that was very very drunk. In my pocket I had my glock 23 compact but it wasn't chambered. He had a gun in my face for about an hour before he started waving the gun around like a retard. After this he throws it on the floor of the car I was in and kicks it. Thankfully it didn't go off. After this I could have tried to shoot him but instead talked him down. He left. Point being dont shoot unless you have to.

  • cool !

  • DAMN!!!..... youre fast!!..... i would have to practice that particular move like 1000 times to get it right!!.

    Love your technique....

  • And this is why you always hold people up at atleast 10 feet away.

  • too much talks

  • AWSOME! thanks now I don't get robbered again!

  • what if hes using an assault rifle...

  • blast by closeing the eye on the attacking side. so if there is a shot managed you are not disabled. load the gun with a blank and see how well your disarm works. the fact that right now your having second thoughts shows the flaws in your approach.

  • in the case of slide action small arms this approach is unrealistic for the reason that in the event of dischard the slide will fire back and injure the defenders control hand and the dischard and blast from the ejection port is not being accounted for. in this type of scenerio the conrtol must be applied to the lower pistol grip and triger group and the inward side of the defender must prep for the

  • Its a good technique, and surely works if done properly. The only problem is...

If the attacker has good reflexes, he'll shoot as soon as you step to the side, while you are grabbing the gun. Your skin will burn and stick to the gun, your brain will tell you to let go, and then you have a burnt hand and sure death incoming.

  • @Fyn689

I had an instructor tell us about that ..."someone that shoots while you take the gun" bit...his response is

    1. the attacker typically will think they have all the power by having a gun...they wont expect you to snatch it from them

    2. action beats reaction. if you act directly and skillfully, even if the gun was pointed at you, you can have the gun in your hands well before their brain thinks "pull the trigger now"

  • @destin325 Thanks for the answer, that clears it up :D

  • @destin325 A lot of people will get their face blasted because of this comment, haha just kidding!

  • @Divljina89

maybe just maybe IF they watch a youtube video and read my comment then think that they are good to go. What I posted was just a part of the philosophy of Krav Maga. Our Instructor demonstrates then we practice with several different positions and distances...over a few months you'll end up doing just one position several hundred times...THAT will help you out; watching a youtube vid (on this subject).....not so much.

but I laughed at your comment "face blasted"

  • @destin325 Me too :D You have a good point. My teacher even doesn't recommend us to do that at ALL! He says attempt that only as a LAST RESORT (he yells that much) :D

  • Question... I'm assuming the person will have their finger on the trigger when this is performed. Forcing the gun in an upward position will this potentially put more natural pressure on the trigger and fire the weapon? Are you maybe better off rotating the gun away from you on the horizontal and spinning it towards the attacker?

  • Hello, I've been wondering what I would do if say it's a short barreled hand gun ? Say a magnum or some other revolver. I'd guess you'd do basically the same thing or can you think of a better way to do a defense against a small hand gun ? Thanks sensei * bow *

  • what about finger prints

and if u call for help the robber or attacker just say help me his barking mad and then you wil get arrested

  • && another thing i wouldnt put myself in a situation like tht no ways ..always stay where the ppl are its witness's... dont scream for help either or he'll shoot yur ass -_- ..dont go for a walk in the park in a creepy dark ally lol oohh yeaa && always have the buddy system :) then you should be straight .

  • he did tht hella fast ! lmaoo i like tht one but after i get the gun id kick em 1 or 2x's since he tried to rob / kill me smh then id runn home to my momma ..dont wanna get involv'd w. the police cause then it hits the news && you kno the saying 'snitches get stitches' 0_o

  • if the guys going to kill you...... he's going to kill you.. anyone who isn't going to kill you is having doubts.. this shit is useless against serious threats.. this shit is only usefull against weaklings..

  • I got a question: If the assaillant threats me with an unloaded gun and and that I take it away from him and order him to get down, why wouldn't he approach me and punch me in the face to take it back, I mean, with a pistol (not a revolver), shouldn't I reload (or simply load) the gun when I have it? You know just in case the guy tried to stick me up with an unloaded weapon?

  • @sekahkiller

when you have the gun fire a warning shot.. not just to scare him.. but to alert other people and to know that its loaded.. if its not loaded when you pull the trigger.. kick their ass..

  • @ifuckinghateithere that's not a bad idea!

  • @sekahkiller

    damnstr8 it is!

  • "Reach for the sky" while your flat on the ground. Haha ;) Just kidding. Good vid. Thanks.

  • What happens if they dont hold the gun like a robot. Usually when someones holding a gun they have a solid two handed grip on the pistol.

  • good tactic but I would disarm as soon as gun is shown- do not wait untill u think he is going to shoot-you cant beat the trigger pull you are beating the thought process that he has to go through-oldsgtmajusmc

  • cool vid, i hope i would never have to try this but good mental note

  • I guess nobody will aim at you at that distance unless he's a beggar.

Try disarming opponent out of reach :)

  • <------ CHECK OUT MY SELF DEFENSE VIDEO (3.2 milion volt stun gun)

  • <----- watch my self defense video (STUN GUN 3.2 million volts)

  • someone held me up 2day i tried doing this and i got shot in the mouth ur advice is shit

  • never do anything againsta gun situation you will die even if you get to the shooter, chances are you will be so weak you will get no mercy

  • What if the attacker is holding the gun with both hands?

  • Why even get close with a gun :S

  • What happened? I blinked and missed it. -_-

  • What about a melee to the head with the butt of the gun as you disarm it to stun him or knock him out?

  • if he gets up and even if u have a gun and hes still trying to attack you, do you have a right to pull the trigger?

  • @BravoUnit1000 The answer is... MAYBE... it is all circumstantial and what you can articulate in court. It is also effected by what country, state and juristiction you are in. Generally speaking you are allowed to respond with as much force is deemed reasonably necessary to stop the initial assault. It could be seen as reasonable to believe that someone trying to kill you would continue to do so after being stopped. That being said, if he complied and went to the ground and you held him....

  • ... there for 5 minutes and then shot him as he got up, you may be in the wrong. If he got up and attempted to leave you would be better off allowing him to do so. However, if he got up and came at you again it would be reasonable to assuem that he still has the means, the opportunity and the intent to finish the job. It is not uncommon for armed assailants to have multiple weapons. He may have another gun or an edged weapon on his person.

  • @realselfdefense I would shoot him in the leg ;)

  • @coolm0di *his

  • @coolm0di Just a CAUTION... if you are going to pull the trigger, aim for center of mass. Do not fire warning shots are try to shoot the arms or legs. Handguns are difficult to fire accurately under optimal situations. Police and military are taught to target the center of mass for several reasons. Adrenaline will cause limbs to shake invluntarly and will make aiming difficult, the center of mass moves the least and moves the slowest so its an easier target than flailing arms and legs, ...

  • .... and if you are justified in pulling the trigger you are justified in killing the aggressor (under reasonable grounds you feared death or great/grevious bodily harm). Guns are designed to kill. You have doubts whether you are justified in pulling the trigger you probably aren't. Warning shots and missed shots can cause panic and drastically elevate the violence of the situation.

  • @realselfdefense depens on the attacker, if he is one big guy, full of rage then one bullied wont stop him. If its one normal guy, trying to shoot his leg multiple times could be possible. I dont know, maybe youre right. Its just killing someone sucks big time... :P

  • @coolm0di or you could just aim lower like below the stomach cuz i mean that would hurt big time such as in the calf and it wouldn't be so fatal : P

  • @Scaperz2 Any shot to a major artery has a high risk of being fatal, and even the slightest gunshot wound can be fatal if they bleed to death or get a nasty infection. Don't pull the trigger unless you absolutely need to put someone down anyways, it may be best to not shoot at all, if you fire, miss, and the gun jams, you have nothing, and are probably left dealing with a very angry person.

There are no save points in real life!

  • @realselfdefense I'd shoot his limb and laughed as he was hardly crawling towards my legs, bleeding.

  • @realselfdefense Just smack him over the head with the gun instead - hope that it'll knock him out...

  • @realselfdefense wow I did not know that. If I were to ever shoot someone to save my life I would try to shoot him in the leg not to kill him, but as you said there is a good chance that I would miss. But come to think of it, if you were to shoot him in the gut above the waste around his center of gravity as you said, he probably wouldnt die either but will be completely neutralized since gettin shot in the gut is painful as hell. Plus there will be a less chance that I would miss. Thanks.

  • @realselfdefense - I have a Question how if there are two (2) armed persons?. probably this things wont work...you should teach things that will be helpful especially in that scenarios

  • @HerbertBaylon38 Um... if there are two armed... then that would make you a hostage, not a potential victim of armed robbery.

  • @realselfdefense what if the robber is too far out of reach?

  • @Jimborocknroll90 then you're fucked

  • @CradleInTheCrater lol good advice man...

  • @realselfdefense after taking the gun n runing to the police say if you where stop by the police on the way and your too adrelined and out of breath to saying anything or to even explain what just happened or the police pulls the gun on you and doesnt listen could the law go against you.....and would you have to disarm the police and give him back his gun so the police can trust you???

  • @BravoUnit1000 Basically, if the guy is in your house, and you don't know him or want him in there, it's reasonable to kill him if he has a deadly weapon. haha

    <
