  • this guy reminds me of MC frontalot the way he looks

they're both musicians too, albeit on polar opposite genres, both good tho

  • still like the 3:28 second version better, good job though

  • What tuning do you use? Matched reciprocal?

  • @sorencasonwood I use a mirrored 4ths tuning (EADGCF on bass, BEADGC on melody).

  • Yep, still loving this tune. And this great musician. Really looking forward to the album.

  • i have to say man, you are one of the veery few people who DONT make the chapman stick sound cheesy!!! in fact very nice of piece of music, well played. i really dig it Everyone else i hear sounds like kenny-G on a stick :/ 5* & yeh i dont play stick but i am a bassist x)

  • man i love the way you play so smooth

  • Wow, that sounds great!! Thanks for posting this tune.

  • Rob, will you play Disturbia with the rad pedal again?

  • I am still loving this song Rob.

I'm sure it can be the anthem or "theme song" for the chapman stick :)

    Dwight

  • Очень красиво. Удачи Роб.

    Very nice. Goodluck Rob.

  • another great song man your the best

everytime i need to relax i listien to you

just want to say thank you very much for making my life easyer :)

  • You inspired me man!!

My 12 string is being built right now. I'm probablit going to string it with 7 treble and 5 bass strings.

  • probably*

  • I think this guy would go perfectly with the New Hippie Mafia's laid back sound. They would just sort of blend and rock together. Especially on a song like "Here It Is" or "Milkwagon-Sleeve" If you haven't heard the New Hippie Mafia and you like this, you should check them out.

  • Wow! Hints of Mark Knopfler there. :)) Just the sound and your transitions and stuff. Absolutely excellent performance! I think I'm going to have to put this one in my favorites. ;)

  • Now that you mention it I can hear it, especially in that bend at 0:52

  • Wow... This song is so relaxing is like a healing medicine. Great, great job.

  • I don't think you're ever going to bore anyone with this song. I don't think I'll ever get tired of hearing it.

  • Scrumtrulesent!

  • Oh wow...

    You made me dream again...

  • damn i want one..... wish i they weren't so damn expensive

  • I'll never get tired of this song. I fell in love with it the first time I heard it.

  • Agreed with the last post completely. Been a fan since I first happened upon Rob's work here on YouTube, still hoping to get an actual "studio" CD of his works someday just like thousands of others. ;)

Very nice work on this one, and I consider it the same: it's laid back, relaxing music that just kinda drowns out the world around me when it plays... thanks.

  • Wonderful as always. While trying not to sound too corny, listening to your tunes helps me wind down and forget my stresses. This song in particular is one of my favorites, not just of your composing or solo Stick songs, but of anything worth listening to. Phenomenal work, keep our heads in your 'One Cloud.'

  • such a nice melody! I always discover different dreams every time I listen to it. congragulations.. :)

  • Rob, I liked the other recording of One Cloud. It'a actually one of my favorite Stick recordings.

But you know, I think this one is even better. Love the nice timing when you're dropping to the lowest bass notes. You drop them in there just right, and the mix you're using brings out that really wonderful low growl.

    Very nice work.

  • id like to see what andy mckee or antoine dufour could do with one of thos, or thomas leeb

  • Hello Rob,nice performens good sound i like your music

    good vibes

    Downunderimpott

  • Wow! Fantastic Rob! Just came across you and this incredible instrument - the Solo Chapman Stick - I never heard or experienced it before, and I love it. You play it well, dude! Keep it up. Reminds me of some of the music the late and great Michael Hedges used to do on guitar. I also appreciate and share some of your musical influences such as Jethro Tull, Rush, Pink Floyd, Genesis. Press on Rob! I look forward to hearing more and more! Thanks! :)

  • "One Cloud" is already a classic of stick style composition. As I said before: never tired of listen to! Rob, you rock man!

  • nice song...good work

  • Excellent playing. <3

  • So fucking soothing.

  • are you aware of the fact that you are the fucking man?

  • ^^ Truth!
