where i live this isnt the case we have control over how animals are raised.i'm a bioengineering student and i know that engineers are looking at ways to improve animal welfare while still meeting the demands of a hungry world. i hope people can understand both sides because if you don't then you don't understand this video. It's truthful but biased in the same way. It's pro-vegan. So you need to see it from all angles so that you understand.

so i reccomend that people do proper research before expressing a side. Animals are processed this way because of the growing demand for food on a global scale. Youre vegetables are made the same way. All potatoes are genetically modified. not one of them isn't. 99 % of organic foods contain transfer pesticides. its not the farmers, its the corporate businessmen that decide what goes in your food. Cargill owns that land, not uncle bill. they tell you to feed your cows corn and how to raise them.

its best to take a look at both sides. is this animal cruelty? absolutely. but there are alternative methods. theyre not perfect but they work for people who choose not to eat the chickens above. its called free range. i know a lot of people my self included who buy meat from local farms that is not fed with corn and does not contain stimulants. Furthermore, the workers are often illegal immigrants that work for low pay and have no work record. There's just so much to talk about

you know i am currently taking a food issues class and while i am one hundred percent disgusted at the meat packing industry (especially the cattle industry in the U.S.), i still choose to eat meat. The reality is that because of the huge increase in our population in the last 50 years, we have had to look at raising and slaughtering animals in a global business perspective. hey i love eggs, i love eating them. the difference between this messed up industry and my grandma when she use to raise the chickens, we'd use the eggs, is that they would be taken care of by their parents.  Then we'd use the other eggs as our own. But it was so awesome to see them grow up and they get used to you after a while, you name them and everything. We used to have around 13 hens, and 6 roosters. What they do here... needs to be stopped

This encompasses most of what Rise Against stands for, human and animal rights issues. Our cooked flesh addictions are not only from cruel factory farms but also hurt our health (leading cause of death heart disease, colong cancer) care system, environment and animals but also increase world hunger. Every 10lbs of grain/corn fed to animals only gives 1lb of flesh, so is very inefficient while people go hungry animals are force bred and fed our limited crops, all unncessary today in 2011!

@ArdentRage I have a degree in Aviation and am a Pilot, I live frugal so I can donate alot of my money to Vegan Outreach (dot) org. I also volunteer for them nearly everyday off. In the past 10 years of working for many human and animal rights charities I find that reaching the people who buy the product with the truth is most important. Even if the laws were changed (which is not feasible without the masses being informed first) then they would probably not be enforced. People do risk alot

This is just like dog fighting, its wrong. This is just like abortion, its wrong. If we can get laws passed then people have to change or figure out another way around it. Of course animals dont have money and we volunteer so we must work harder. Rise Against are one of my favourite bands. The film clip for Ready To Fall is what prompted me to go vegan.

Things like this, intentionally mislabelling graphic footage of meat production (or to be more accurate, a by product of egg production) as a film clip for a band is why people think we are self righteous douche bags.

This video is one sided. you should read my comments below. another video i'd reccomend is Food Inc. It's a tad biased, but it shows how farmers in the U.S. are controlled by companies like conAgra, Perdue, Cargill, etc. I'm from Canada and we don't this bad a problem as the majority of our farms are independently owned.
