Survive? perhaps.. But what happens when broken ribs, collapsed lungs, and internal bleeding puts the guy on the ground? does the shooter then say ok i've had enough cya.

Not that I think it's silly to have a vest, sure it's great every little bit helps.. but they make it sound like internal injuries aren't a big deal.

@opisex There are trama plates that come with the plate carrier vest or you can get to pair with soft body armor to protect from blunt force injury.

@patrikasLTL soft armor will stop the slug with no problem also, (level III-A) but you will sustain more bruising than with a single bullet.

Soft body armor is designed to catch the round, not bounce the round away from the body. They are designed to spread the force of the round over a large area.

I have experience (and video footage) of laminated aramid soft armour that can take up 30 rounds from 9mm submachine guns, .45 calibre pistols, and shotguns..as far as a iknow the laminated aramids are the ONLY soft armours that can do this. I like being proven wrong and discovering new materials however, lol, so I would be excited to think if this was something else..... My footage is too large to get on here, otherwise i would like to upload it.

I think it's made by point blank but I can't say for sure. It's been too long since I've watched the show I got it from.
