I have two pairs. Yup when u look inside it says made in china. Cause everything nowadays are made in china. Cheap labor. Thats why. And they sold this for 200$. . I use this cause its cool and different. Ive been doing muay thai since i was a kid so i have good legs cause its barefoot when training and fighting thats why its not hard for me to adjust to these.
@CheckersXheart mean sideways or just some lying down nail, well no. even the sharp rocks "pointing up" it doesnt hurt. but u will definitely feel it., at first i was like a kid in a play field. its like experiencing ur first steps. u will notice every detail u were stepping on. after 5 months or more well it wont feel new anymore. ur brain now ignores everything check my video about it and u will have a better balance.
@janjans143 If you already walk barefoot, you won't get many if any injuries w/ these. I can step on glass without getting cut (barefoot) and often do.
I love my FiveFinger Shoes!!!!! I used to laugh at the people I saw running in the street like they were barefoot. I don't laugh anymore. I have two pair.
I've used my VFF KSO for about 3 months now, and I will never run in anything else. It's changed the way I run, and how I walk. I have huge calf muscles now.
I bought the Vibram five fingers sprint or something the black with yellow sole inside and I bought them early in september and I have only used them 5-10 times since then. Since it's ugly wheather now I can't really run outside but sometimes I can run on my grandmas threadmill. I really want to become lightning quick !!!! I have bought a program which strengtens some of the thigh muscles and it helps alot. How can Vibram help me? I always feel a minor pain in my little toe after I've used them
I think the point of calling them "five fingers" instead of "five toes" is b/c your fingers are much more dexterous than your toes. And, by wearing these shoes you strengthen muscles in your feet and legs that you don't usually use, such as the muscles in your toes, thereby making your toes dexterous as are your fingers.
It might be just me but I hurt my metatarsals while using VFF. Only when I switched to barefoot, the problems disappeared. Of course I do use light running shoes for cold or the city (I don't deal with gawking people very well and it makes me self conscious) but I'm mostly trying to kick the shoes off whenever protection isn't necessary. No one cares, I know.
GUYS Five FINGERS IS JUST LIKE A AN AQUA SHOE WITH THIN SOLES, AQUA SHOES ARE NOT TOO EXPENSIVE.. ANCIENT MAN BAREFOOTED TO WALK AND RUN, TODAY WE EVOLVE MORE FRAGILE , IT WILL TAKE SOME YEARS TO GIVE YOU A NATURAL SOLE IN YOUR FEET IF YOU WALK ALL DAY BARE FOOTED LOL....
Every douchebag I know owns a pair of these. Every non-douchebag I know doesnt own a pair of these. I think its pretty easy to draw a solid conclusion with this simple information.
@erichoward15 Air Max isn't a bad shoe, but I've seen a lot better for training / distance. Of course barefoot shoes such as the Vibram Five Fingers takes some extra training and getting used to, it pays off in the long run. You can also compete in them in cross country, or train in them instead of spikes for track - since you can easily roll your ankle in spikes. TL;DR: Yes, I believe they're worth it.
We are based in the United Kingdom and are very proud to sell these shoes on our online store. We try our best to be as helpful as possible and send out your shoes fast. I have been wearing five fingers since April 2008 and am a big fan. I also feel as though a few divers on the USS Pittsburgh were one of the first people to really wear them everyday. I'd like to consider us trend setters. Don't worry about thanking us.
@Shadoweprinz get some aqua socks they are like $10-$12 and do the same shit if you want thin soled rubber shoes with no arch or ankle support. dont fall for marketing bullshit. the vibram makers are laughing their way to the bank as you put $100 in to their pockets. get $12 aqua socks.
now with the money you save you can get some extra stuff for your bday spent on other things. dont fall for the vibram marketing BS. they just took the idea of a water shoe/sock and added toe molding to the end to make it look "cool/interesting"
@Th3Nguyen Yes, intact, they make you not strike your heel very fast. Heel strikes are the primary cause of 'shin splints'.
You can train to wear these shoes by switching to a ball-of-the-foot first strike instead of a heel strike. The transition to the separate toes however, takes a long time, I would suggest buying a pair of wide flat sandals to help with that phase.
@BLaZeDRas The Komodo sports are great. It nice to be able to adjust the heal strap separately from the top strap unlike the Treksport and KSO's, but the Bikila's don't have a heel strap.
hey nice video and just wondering i do alot of short sprints like 50m 75m 100m 150m 200m and 300m and the mile run just wondering would these be great SHOES?
Idc if other people think these look stupid and are a waste of money. I've stopped trying to appeal to others since high school and I've had a job since high school and I'm using my money to get some.
Buy water shoes if you don't need the toes. They are much cheaper and in every other aspect the same. Trust me I bought Vibram Five Fingers and used them for Parkour, they were broken after one month.
you will be feeling some soreness and discomfort but give it time trust me you will love them at the moment me and my friends are trying to get them allowed in our school outside of sport practice so we dont have to keep switching between these and regular shoes.. If you run i recomend getting these you will improve greatly and there about a third of he weight of most shoes.
i Love these shoes i origanaly was running barefoot for football because i could run better faster and longer so i didnt have to break my feet in and putting these things on allowes you to run just as good as barefoot but allowes you to go more places back in june i went on a 2 week hike in the ozarks of arkansas with these on and it was great i didnt have to take them off for river crosings and they dried in about 10 minutes but if you are just starting to wear them and never ran bearfoot befor
what is the "perfect form" for running? should you be sprinting with just your toes? or land on your heels and progressively roll over to the balls of your feet? and, if we should be running from heel to toe, doesn't landing on your heels when running hurt your knees and increase knee pain?? thanks!!!
Its true that humans evolved running barefoot and that it is the most natural way to run, but what we didn't evolve with is all the metal, glass, and concrete that us humans have recently (in terms of the time frame of human evolution) invented. So I believe that the five fingers are necessary for running barefoot in our modern world.
Hey if you guys think they are to expensive, check your local REI store location for there garage sales things when they they have defected stuff out in the front of the store. Just today I picked some up that had a little tear and that's it perfect grip for 39.90!!!!
For anyone who is interested in getting a pair of these and is wondering: are they comforatble?, the answer is no, they aren't... at the beginning!, and this is because (more likely men) you have been walking in sneakers or shoes all your life, your feet are very weak, if barefooting they will get tired very fast and every small piece of debris will hurt since they've been protected by your shoes all this time, think about removing the shell off of a turtle.
@Razwithz but if you use the VFF and keep useing them, your feet will get stronger, your sole, your heel, each of your toes, and if your shoes have been deforming your pinky slightly making it a bit curved, overlap or hide underneath your 4th toe, then the VFF will aswell force it to take it's natural position so you will actually use it.
So, later, walking barefoot will be the most comfortable thing to do, because you will have strong feet.
@Razwithz bullshit. dont make claims that are not supported by fact. these cheap overpriced shoes with no soles do not strengthen your feet. buy some aqua socks for $12 at walmart if you want thin soled rubber shoes with no arch or ankle support. they do the same shit. you just fall for marketing bullshit.
@Razwithz Even if you have Vibrams, you would have to run on soft terrain for some time, otherwise you would suffer from injuries. And they have no cushion or support, which doesn't help if you forefoot strike, which will give you some shin splits. And Vibrams will aggravate your problem if you forefoot strike in them. And there are different methods for developing control in your pinky. Vibrams are hype in my opinion. Thank god mine were just a gift.
@Razwithz I don't know about other people, but I, when I was younger, I was barefoot all the time. Outside, inside, all the time. Even though I'm not that old, it's still like a different age.
Hello. i m the guy do slackline from venezuela, a manager of vibram maybe talk to me in the outdoor party, he give a card but a lost my wallet, so i dont have the e-mail. My e-mail is Jesusbeerrospi_1@hotmail.com. gretts
hey i was thinking of buying a pair of these, but im into bodybuilding so i dont do much running mainly walking/jogging would this help me build up better calvs? and would this effect the weight i can lift at the gym with like squats and deadlifts?
Would these be fine for average things like, mowing the lawn, walking around town, driving. All the average daily things?. I am really interested in these. As if i could walk barefoot i would.
@imnotcj i'm training for a Marathon, I have just incorporated the Five Fingers about 3 weeks ago and i change back and fourth with my normal lightweight running shoes with my Five Fingers and my posture and strength in my legs have improved out of sight. You have to be prepared for a change in style of running, at first i ran slower but more efficient and then my strength improved in my feet and calves and i'm use to the running style now. Five Fingers are great. 'Sprints' are great!
I have flat feet, and normally wear insoles for arch-support. How would these shoes affect my feet, arch, etc. I like to think that if I had lived 10,000 years ago I would not have made it!
@pkouret I have flat arches, too, and I love my Vibrams. I did a little research and the best arch support you'll ever have is, well, your arch. It would take a lot of getting used to and a lot of building up muscles you probably haven't used in a while, so go slow if you take the barefoot leap.
I've had my Vibrams for 3-4 weeks or so, and my feet (especially my arches) have never felt better!
@idapunch Ya because i got the outdoors one and they have excellent grip on the bottom of these "shoes" and they are so light i feel like im flying when i run.
@fredjustsucks it is true that the human foot is perfect. BUT not all humans have perfect feet/ mechanics. I have been teaching an training marathoners and Olympic athletes. as well as the average JOE. A person must first work on strength. endurance. technique and maintaining a healthy height to weight ratio in order to fully take advantage of such a shoe. otherwise. One may cause great injuries to themselves. =]
You should wear a padded up shoe if you have flat feet. I have the opposite problem (high arches) so I don't wear this either. Only people who have perfect arches and neither over pronate or over supinate should wear these.
@jon2397 Actually, these might help your flat feet. High arch support shoes make medium- low arches weak since they arent being worked. Using these you feet and arches will SLOWLY get stronger.
I ordered a pair a few months ago. They are seriously like an orgasm for your feet. It feels amazing when you run. I can't even describe it.....just go buy a damn pair and see for yourself.
I don't understand how people can say they look queer because they look just like your feet, apparently people think their feet look queer?! Have a little couth people. They definitely look odd, but no more outlandish than the feet we were born with. I'd like to give them a try
I have a pair of the KSO's, and they are great. I use them mainly for the gym. They are specificly useful on leg days, squats, deadlifts, calve raises etc. Personally, I find it easier to maintain proper form when wearing as opposed to wearing regular trainers. But, that is just my experience.
these are amazing, i was terrible at running, would be tired after a mile or so, but now after training with these shoes i'm able to run around 5 miles easily. un believable.
Wearing Vibram Treksports since Feb '11 casually...started running cpl weeks ago...Muscles were awoken in my body i did not know existed!!! I will forever own a pair of Vibrams!
When I ran on treadmill at the gym, incline 0, speed 10-10.5. I noticed that it my toes started to form blisters and the bottom started getting very hot. Also, my calves began to be sore and I could barely walk.
Is it suppose to get hot, and will that kill the life out of my KSO's? Did anyone else's calves started to become sore and did it go away? Any answers would be greatly appreciated!
@EVNFilms Yes, it's normal to feel pain in your calves as you're changing your running style from heel strike to forefoot, so you're using different muscles. Running with these on a treadmill will build up some heat as there's even more friction than running on the road as the belt moves under you. Try running outside, it should clear some of that up. Run light, run easy my friend.
@pctv1 Thanks a lot for the information! I ran outdoors with these today and it's way better! Hopefully my calves heel soon. Anyways, thanks! Have a good day.
@EVNFilms The pain in the calves will go. The blisters won't. I've been barefoot running and walking for decades (one of the pleasures of being African). Immediately when I saw this product I thought what a great idea in a crappy design! As time goes on, the designers will get a unique complaint from consumers.. If running encasing your toes in sachets was a good idea, Africans would have invented it. After few months with sweat and friction, the skin between your toes will start to fall off.
@EVNFilms idk if you got this information but you want to ease into the five fingers or just in bare feet, your feet are not use to it and the result might be pain and discomfort and even serious injury.
@EVNFilms Yes, pain is normal.. in fact youre supossed to slowly break them in.. you run very differently barefoot than you do in shoes.. when youre running in shoes youre letting your shoes do the running.. when youre running barefoot youre constantly adjusting your stride and step to compensate for the different terrain.. run on the balls of your feet, take it easy, and slowly break them in.. sounds boring. but truly its necessary if you want to get the best use out of them
I just purchased the Vibram FiveFinger KSO's a couple days ago. So far, they are very impressive and are extremely comfortable. However, it's quiet difficult putting them on for the very first time. I ran with these indoors as well as outdoors. I recommend anyone who enjoys barefoot running to purchase these. They are well worth $90.00 +. They do look weird and people will come up to you asking "what in the heck are those?". It did get a bit annoying but I am used to it now. Anyways, when I ran
I am addicted to Vibram Five Fingers... I have four different pair and it neeeeeeeeeeeeeeever fails for someone to come up to me and ask what in the world do I have on my feet. But its sooooooo awesome when I see someone else with a pair own like at the gym or just randomly somewhere.. and we just give each other a nod of appreciation. These shoes are awesome! Its definitely worth investing in a pair if don't have any yet...
@lilrocker161 I'm pretty sure these shoes perform awesomely in parkour. Some technical things may change like landing safely from a height - these shoes like look they don't have enough cushion to shock absorb.
Guy, I would like to seek for some advices. I have torn my meniscus and injured my ligaments all on my left knee cap. Now, I am feeling some stress over on my right knee because most of the time I have been using right knee to support my body ever since after I tore my meniscus on left knee cap.
Is it still advisable to get vibram or normal running shoe?
@newborn88 bro i read this and had to comment. flat soled shoes will only add to pain. the vibrams are like being barefoot. but you would have to make the call. im a catcher and my knees are shot and i love thes shoes!!!
first time o got them people were asking me wtf are you wearing and i always answered some amazing shoes :)... I always were them especially when i went camping i had them all though out the 2 whole days ran, swam, slept, hunt and relaxed while other people were like my feet are killing me... hahahaha
i have a pair of vibram five fingers and i got them cuz i ran barfoot a lot befor i got them and now that i have them its amazing i hike and do parkour in mine i had them for six months vibrams rock
won't this be dangerous when you run outdoors or on trails? imagine the stuff that is on our road, glasses, nails and stones. anyone here who had a freak accident from wearing these shoes?
@sizzer33 not really, i have a pair of these and stepped on plenty of glass and stones and not even a scratch. the bottom is actually pretty tough than most people expect.but im sure glass can penetrate through these shoes just like it can most other shoes.
@CrestedBoa Thanks for the info. Would definitely give it a try. I guess its not advisable to get these online right cause the fitting should be very different compared to normal shoes. I have to find a store that sells them now..
Is it stupid to you because you don't get it? I bet you when you have a headache I can press in your hand a certain somewhere, it will hurt like hell but you wont have a headache anymore : )
I don't understand why people would ask whats on your feet. I just realized this. It's like walking barefoot, you just have a glove for your foot on...
Someone please respond, are these good for lifting/squats?
Thanks

@Razwithz but if you use the VFF and keep useing them, your feet will get stronger, your sole, your heel, each of your toes, and if your shoes have been deforming your pinky slightly making it a bit curved, overlap or hide underneath your 4th toe, then the VFF will aswell force it to take it's natural position so you will actually use it.
So, later, walking barefoot will be the most comfortable thing to do, because you will have strong feet.
I got the KSO urban camo and I love them :)
Razwithz 6 months ago 7
@Razwithz bullshit. dont make claims that are not supported by fact. these cheap overpriced shoes with no soles do not strengthen your feet. buy some aqua socks for $12 at walmart if you want thin soled rubber shoes with no arch or ankle support. they do the same shit. you just fall for marketing bullshit.
hybridman 3 months ago
@Razwithz Even if you have Vibrams, you would have to run on soft terrain for some time, otherwise you would suffer from injuries. And they have no cushion or support, which doesn't help if you forefoot strike, which will give you some shin splits. And Vibrams will aggravate your problem if you forefoot strike in them. And there are different methods for developing control in your pinky. Vibrams are hype in my opinion. Thank god mine were just a gift.
TheBlazeAG 3 months ago
@Razwithz I don't know about other people, but I, when I was younger, I was barefoot all the time. Outside, inside, all the time. Even though I'm not that old, it's still like a different age.

I do cross country at my highschool and i was just wondering are these great for long distance?
imnotcj 7 months ago
@imnotcj these are best in long range running
TlMPPA 7 months ago
@imnotcj i'm training for a Marathon, I have just incorporated the Five Fingers about 3 weeks ago and i change back and fourth with my normal lightweight running shoes with my Five Fingers and my posture and strength in my legs have improved out of sight. You have to be prepared for a change in style of running, at first i ran slower but more efficient and then my strength improved in my feet and calves and i'm use to the running style now. Five Fingers are great. 'Sprints' are great!

I have flat feet, and normally wear insoles for arch-support. How would these shoes affect my feet, arch, etc. I like to think that if I had lived 10,000 years ago I would not have made it!
pkouret 7 months ago
@pkouret I have flat arches, too, and I love my Vibrams. I did a little research and the best arch support you'll ever have is, well, your arch. It would take a lot of getting used to and a lot of building up muscles you probably haven't used in a while, so go slow if you take the barefoot leap.
I've had my Vibrams for 3-4 weeks or so, and my feet (especially my arches) have never felt better!

The human foot is already a perfect design, so this just protects your feet from broken glass, debris, that kind of shit
fredjustsucks 7 months ago 29
@fredjustsucks it is true that the human foot is perfect. BUT not all humans have perfect feet/ mechanics. I have been teaching an training marathoners and Olympic athletes. as well as the average JOE. A person must first work on strength. endurance. technique and maintaining a healthy height to weight ratio in order to fully take advantage of such a shoe. otherwise. One may cause great injuries to themselves. =]
eapMedia 6 months ago
@eapMedia just as bad as wearing normal shoes lol ... if anything they are a improvement aslong as you dont think you can go all out.
merccc1 5 months ago
@fredjustsucks i have flat feet (not perfect) should i wear these? it's like protecting crap. there's no point
jon2397 5 months ago
@jon2397
You should wear a padded up shoe if you have flat feet. I have the opposite problem (high arches) so I don't wear this either. Only people who have perfect arches and neither over pronate or over supinate should wear these.
fredjustsucks 5 months ago
@jon2397 Actually, these might help your flat feet. High arch support shoes make medium- low arches weak since they arent being worked. Using these you feet and arches will SLOWLY get stronger.

I have a pair of the KSO's, and they are great. I use them mainly for the gym. They are specificly useful on leg days, squats, deadlifts, calve raises etc. Personally, I find it easier to maintain proper form when wearing as opposed to wearing regular trainers. But, that is just my experience.

EVNFilms 8 months ago
@EVNFilms Yes, it's normal to feel pain in your calves as you're changing your running style from heel strike to forefoot, so you're using different muscles. Running with these on a treadmill will build up some heat as there's even more friction than running on the road as the belt moves under you. Try running outside, it should clear some of that up. Run light, run easy my friend.
pctv1 8 months ago 8
@pctv1 Thanks a lot for the information! I ran outdoors with these today and it's way better! Hopefully my calves heel soon. Anyways, thanks! Have a good day.
EVNFilms 8 months ago
@EVNFilms The pain in the calves will go. The blisters won't. I've been barefoot running and walking for decades (one of the pleasures of being African). Immediately when I saw this product I thought what a great idea in a crappy design! As time goes on, the designers will get a unique complaint from consumers.. If running encasing your toes in sachets was a good idea, Africans would have invented it. After few months with sweat and friction, the skin between your toes will start to fall off.
DakotaJanes 7 months ago
@EVNFilms I would like to add that you should also run on your toes and jog and walk on your heel to your toe.
WiFreeRunners 6 months ago
@EVNFilms idk if you got this information but you want to ease into the five fingers or just in bare feet, your feet are not use to it and the result might be pain and discomfort and even serious injury.
mendrmic 5 months ago

But its sooooooo awesome when I see someone else with a pair own like at the gym or just randomly somewhere.. and we just give each other a nod of appreciation. These shoes are awesome! Its definitely worth investing in a pair if don't have any yet...

Please guide, Thanks.

@sizzer33 not really, i have a pair of these and stepped on plenty of glass and stones and not even a scratch. the bottom is actually pretty tough than most people expect.but im sure glass can penetrate through these shoes just like it can most other shoes.
