@thepotatovagina It´s true that he got caught for using cocaine and nandrolone. That´s kinda sad i guess. But I think the majority of the top athletes use all kind of drugs so I don´t care anymore. I just think it´s freaking awesome to see a guy jump 2.45!!

true, there are a lot of legal subs, vitamins, etc that can create the same effects. Besides,if an athlete comes from a country providing better fitness facilities, and trainers, better gear- eg, sports shoes with more spring, outfits that improve wind resistance (think Cathy freeman, sydney olympics), dieticians, and financial incentives, they have an unfair advantage.

for those who want to use drugs, make an alternate olympics-lets see someone jump 9 foot! or run 100m in 8.0!

Vertical leap is not the same thing as high jump. High jum requires technique, vertical leap requires none. Vertical leap is a better indicator of jumping ability. High jumpers are not the world's best vertical leapers.
