ok ok I ,know this is not nintendo BUT is it me or has nintendo gone abit NATAL feaures or something, hmmm then again its only fair as ms sort of nicked the ideas for motion control from nintendo.( i know sony had eye toy thing ,that was a flop, but i am talking first successful device)
Actually, both Nintendo and Microsoft were influenced by the Eyetoy experiments back in early 2000. The Eyetoy was capable of depth detection and so on, but the consumer grade Eyetoy was underpowered. Nintendo's original designs were just like the Eyetoy, until they got the idea to reverse the positions of the camera, and reference point by sticking a IR camera in the Wiimote, instead of having a camera face the gamer. Microsoft even acknowledges their Natal wasn't all that original of their own
very true,i am just thinking its just taken this long as the ideas were abit ahead of there time there was not enough right types of hardware ,exp, and what not ,in order to truelly make a successful device the question is ..are we at the point were a successful device can appear ? are we at the right time to do it?
And it's a far more powerful machine, sadly though it has no buttons which basically kills it's use as a game machine. I think that this is a great advancement and I'd love to see DSiWare game start taking advantage of this tilt sensing
Well of course...tilting by itself is not new, iPod touch can do it, Sony Sixaxis can do it, iPhone can do it...difference is, all these machines have specific hardware to detect the tilting...the DSi does not.
for you guys that dont know... it uses the camera!

Well this is embarrassing.
The DSiWare store in Europe has a new game called "Move your Brain: Rollway Puzzle", which itself, has tilt, based on the camera.
They beat you to it.

Is it just me or at 0:33 the ball went right ant the guy tilted on the left?
GMTron 2 years ago 4
I think he sometimes does not work, because the camera has to calculate in which direction he is tilted.
And the DSi camera is not really great ...

Andere sensoren er ingebouwd?

Very nine and impressive, but you should of put the DSi in front of the camera, instead of at an angle.

Hehe geinig om weer eens wat van jullie te horen *kuch* *kuch* ;)
De camera registreert de verandering van de positie aan de hand van de vorige frames?
