You have to consider the number of actual anime artists in America and its practicality to find a job, which is low in both cases. Now of course there are a decent amount of anime artists in the United States, but I am predicting 95% of them aren't planning to become an anime artist, probably majoring in Graphic Design with a hobby of drawing anime. So where the hell are the people going to get the other 5% that might actually give a shit with limited funding? It's probably why the art is bad.

@weabro It has a greater story...well,to say the truth a far greater story but it is not as interactive as this one...I mean there are are some obvious answers but the game gets so frustrating time to time due to the difficulty of achivieng its goal...in other words it is more challenging to play...but the animations trully sucks :3

@weabro Come on, it's not THAT bad. People worked very hard on this, because they are a fan of the wellknown animé franchises.. Sure, you can see it wasn't produced on a big budget, or that the artists aren't awesome at drawing... I can however see that a lot of love went into it, and I think it sucks donkey balls to call something "shit" just because it isn't as good as the big names. The people who made this are obviously big fans.

Drawfag art quality - not bad (certainly could be deviantart worse) but not really marketable. While voiced is (usually) better it was probably not a good use of funds. At this rate I expect mechanics that would probably benefit from a little tuning (inb4patch)

Ill check the demo out as a dating sim style game developed by a western crew is a novel idea(despite obviously not being a 'western' developed approach its just a dating sim done in English buy a bunch of English otaku) but my expectations are very low after watching this. The sound hasn't even been balanced properly its very difficult to hear the vocalist over the music, if this is the kind of quality i can expect from the game i likley will not be buying it.

@Anim3Fr33K It's not *that* novel an idea, there are several other western-developed dating sims and visual novels on sale (some on consoles, most on PC) Whether any of them are any good, of course, is a matter of taste. :) (Oddly enough, I've seen some American VN fans actually calling Ever 17 shit! My heart breaks. Such heresy is rare though.)

Guys, we should all be excited. This is the FIRST, Japanese-style, dating-Sim game, produced by an American company for an American audience. While its not completely top-notch like its Japanese counterpart, its right on track with its visuals, presentation, and heck, even the voice. Let's hope for an eventual release. ;)

I was at the panel for the preview of this at the Los Angeles Anime Expo. Personally I liked what I saw, and it seems to me that it will be an interesting game to play. The OP I also like, but that's only a small part of what this game will be when it comes out. XD I can't wait for it!

As for opinions... I'd say some things could be polished, still. After the very cute "cheerleading" scene, you go for the usual "present every character with their still images sliding on the screen" thing, which doesn't look so well in my opinion. The poses are well drawn enough, but the way the images are presented isn't graphically appealing, IMHO.

Good running scene at the end though, it must have taken a great effort to make it!
