Did you all know that Mickey Stevenson, the producer, played the music "backward," and had Martha and back-ups (Rosalind Ashford and Betty Kelly, and "fellas") record "forward" over the "back-track." Which, by the way, is one reason why they NEVER performed the song live in concert, nor "live-to-track" on any television programs... It's too difficult... especially for the back-up singers. However, to me, "Motoring" is one of the Vandellas' best dance tunes ever! Oh, yeah!
