The energy required just to move that fast is literally infinite, and it would take us some thousands or tens of thousands of years to get to the nearest star while traveling at the speed of light. I saw UFOs & dinosaurs in my dreams since as far back as I can remember (about 3 years old), I have had MANY dreams of things that later actually happened. I had OOBEs until 17 or 18, when I had a very bad one, couldn't speak or move, felt watched by billions of unseen evil eyes, barely managed to scream "JESUS!" and "fell" on the bed as I awoke. Never had an OOBE or seen a UFO since then. A month ago I pulled a golden *metallic* rice-shaped flake from my nose, still hurts & won't heal.

It's not a religion, it's a lack of belief in a particular aspect of religion. There are religious atheists, e.g., certain sects of Buddhists. There are atheists out there that believe in angels and demons. So no, "Atheists" don't believe in anything. Individual nonbelievers have beliefs.

@HolyRevelation Lol, the real question they should ask, the one that will stomp the alien theory flat on their terms, is how they even got here. By the laws of physics, laws Atheists must accept, you can not travel faster than the speed of light. The energy required just to move that fast is literally infinite, and it would take us some thousands or tens of thousands of years to get to the nearest star while traveling at the speed of light. Aliens are impossible, why not consider alternatives?

There are many reasons that traveling unseen at the speed of light through space is impossible, hit one piece of space junk and BOOM. We would be able to see them coming and going if they where traveling at light speed.

@7399Fya if you travel toward the speed of light your already modifying space time. any motion of stars speed up, so to a certain degree you are time traveling. the big problem is that the mass behave like a liquid and get stretched out more and more as you accelerate toward the speed of light. the trick is not to accelerate the spaceship itself but to accelerate atoms instead so only the change in space time affect the spaceship avoiding killing the crew. thats one method of space travel.

I know comparitively little about this subject, but I do think there's something in it. One thing tho, don't some accounts credit such beings with bringing technological knowledge to groups of humans, such as the Sumerians? Perhaps their ulterior motives were bad, but it doesn't seem a bad thing in itself. Also, didn't Solomon supposedly conjure up demons to help him build his temple? He isn't generally considered an evil figure. Just asking.
