  • Smooth jazz, IN MY CASTLEVANIA?

  • cynthia harrell rocks, this song and Snake Eater.

  • Yes I ran out and bought the soundtrack only after I just got the game . Thank you gamemusic

  • i have three reasons to like this song. 1. great lyrics; 2. the melody sounds romantic and touching; 3-th and most important reason - this song pissed haters off as hell!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

    Best game in my heart.

  • @eternalcyan very close 2nd to zelda link to the past in my book, but an epic game none the less

  • I own one copy of "Castelvania: simphony of the night" , the game that features this song.

I tried to find Cinthia Harrell's album anywhere here in Italy at that time, but I wasn't able to. Fantastic voice for this lady. This song is gorgeous in my opinion.

  • SNAKE EATER!

  • I just searched the song to see if others liked it. IMO this song totally ruined it for me. Its the Ja-Ja Binks of SOTN. I'm pretty sure Michiru Yamane had nothing to do with this. Its not a God awful song, but it really doesn't belong in a Castlevania game.

  • when in the game did they EVER play this ???

  • @fuckenmovies9494 When are people EVER going to read the description.

  • @fuckenmovies9494 if you beat the game you would know :)

  • @Kevin01SH i beat it twice but i just must not have tht good of a memory

  • 28 people are going to be hunted by Dracula himself

  • @richardba probably alucard didn't like this song too

  • ...Wooosh! :D

  • aw DANG!!! I was doing some research while I was listening to castlevania OST... but when this music came up I instantly lift my head!

Aw what memories... my first PS game... still the first on my list :')

  • It's a very nice song for one of the best Castlevania ! :)

  • @nonethousand I mean, I understand that everyone has different opinions, but you don't need to insult people like that, because they have a different taste of music. I admit, I have a pretty wierd taste of music, but at least I don't spread my hate-comments all over Youtube! And by the way: The song's awesome! Enough said.

  • @nonethousand And... why? Or better yet, why are you even watching the video, when you don't like the song? Just because it doesn't fit into Castlevania? Let me tell you something: Halo (one of my favourite game-series) has lots of music like that. Or even more relaxing, with pianos, violins and stuff. And you know what? Halo is a FPS! And nobody said the same thing you did about THAT, or am I wrong? I think I'm not. So if you don't like the song, just don't watch the goddamn video!!!

  • 28 people only I am the shit

  • "I don't get why so many hate this song... even if it doesn't fit the game very well, I think it's remarkable and very beautiful by itself. "

    your a fucking idiot

  • eu sempre joguei castlevania...mas esse foi o unico que eu sempre choro no final...esse ja foi,é e sempre será o melhor castlevania que ja existiu..isso claro na minha humilde opiniao...

  • I love this game forever

  • 27 people are not like the wind

  • I didn't know Dracula listened to soccer mom music.

  • I've played every Castlevania (exception for the very first one) and I gotta say Symphony is the best of them... It took me a looong time wandering aimlessly trough the castle trying to find out what to do next and not a single second of it was boring.

It is funny to see how the more recent setlements try to bring back the feeling of these older Castlevanias... Julius mode with Alucard, Richter mode... It's all in the new ones. Too bad series went a little off the track after Aria of Sorrow.

  • I don't get why so many hate this song... even if it doesn't fit the game very well, I think it's remarkable and very beautiful by itself. And I utterly agree with the top comment, most nowadays games lack soul.

This game has always meant so much to me... I've played it since I was a little girl and never got sick of it. Old games FTW.

  • Man, I love this game. :P

  • I thank God for allowing me to be born and see the wonders of the world of games like castlevania, megaman, metal gear ECTS, but it was games. miss ...

  • Pretty disturbing hearing this in a Castlevania. Although the song is beautiful, but when I heard it the first time after beating Richter, I was like "What the fuckin heck ?"

  • @Radopokiar haha ... sorry 4 u ... u didn't even finished the original ending of the game .... well play it again hahaha .....

  • @TheAeroll Ok and where did I say that I didn't finished the true ending ? I've beaten Richter, but it doesn't mean that I didn't kicked the ass of Shaft and Dracula also.

  • Jazz !!! :D

  • i really miss this game.. and song.. im was young im addick to castlevania.. i wanna play this game again.. but my cd is broke.

  • This song is refreshing...i really miss this game Alucard,Ritcher Belmont,Maria,Dracula,Death etc....

  • Love Love Love This Song & This Game Tyvm

  • the best game ever

  • Very nostalgic song, and great vocals from Cynthia Harrell! Too bad they got rid of this on the PSP port from C:DXC :(

  • 27 people suck.

  • god I hated this song... no offense.

  • celine dion ?

  • This version IS on the xbox live arcade version.. You just don't hear it at the end... It's in Sound Test on a new game at the Librarian. The last song.

  • OH GOD that SEXY saxophone solo makes me want to play the saxophone, it tugs at my heart.

  • Guys a good game must have 4 things to be consider a great game

    * Graphics

    * Music

    * Gamplay

    * Story/Plot

if a game has those 4 things then it's a good game and if the plot wraps you then is epic. There maybe great games nowadayas but like i said the 80's and 90's had passion in it that I can't find in modern games...end of story.

  • @kaiserxblue Graphics don't make a game.

  • @rawman44 Been preaching that for years.. I enjoy Super Mario Bros. (the original) more than some of the flashy graphic games.. And that game has technically VERY little storyline...

  • @wheredarknessislight Yeah, a game could have the best graphics ever, but have the worst story line and gameplay.

  • Sleep in the death alone with this song in Castle Vania, I have no regret......

  • The PSP version gets Sympathy of Seranade. Not as great as I am the Wind but, in a way it brings tranquility.

  • thanks

  • This is a really nice song :)

  • The person who sang this also sang Snake Eater I'm pretty sure.

  • @legorocks3 yes it is :)

  • After all the battles, the agony of reaching the last boss, fighting demons, nightmares and must undesired horros from Castlevania, and then at the end a Beatiful way to say to us, "Well Done Alucard, now go on and be the like the wind"

  • Timeless Lyrics for a beautiful song.

  • Probably people are going to hate me, but the truth must be told. Most games in the 80's and 90's has something that videogames nowadays don't have. It's called a soul, those games were made with passion. If don't belive me then ask those millions of ppl that still drop some manly tears over some classic games like megaman, zelda, etc.

  • @kaiserxblue I completely agree, the games nowadays don't have the essence like the old ones have, they are simply created for no reason, there is no context behind their creation, what soul a game like Crysis has? IMO, none

  • @richardba I disagree... There ARE games that have souls nowadays.. It's just, there isn't as much effort thrown into the storyline and music as there used to be...

Nier was a great example... Graphics aren't that great, controls are clunky at first, but great story and music...

Games still have soul, you just gotta search for the good games..

  • @wheredarknessislight Metal Gear Solid is one of those games that still has alot of soul :) 4 and 3 really show it

  • @sonicfreak1992 Yup. the reboot for the Castlevania series, LoS, is a great game. I can name off a good number of games with soul.

  • @richardba Bloom lolz

  • Comment removed

  • @kaiserxblue Why would anyone hate you for saying that? It's the truth.

  • @kaiserxblue yes i agree. Years ago, there used to be games that i would want to go in the shop and buy. Nowadays i go in the shops to see what new games there are and nothing is interesting enough to buy. I have actually had a ps3 for 2 years now and I must only have about 15 games on it. Half of them games are just christmas presents and nothing i would have actually gone and bought myself. lol

  • @kaiserxblue True but some games today have a soul too, The REALLY good new ones not cheap imitations kinds that is. like The World Ends With You, Uncharted, and others. Games evolve we cant stop it I mean look at Ocarina of time, its being REMADE for gods sake.

  • @OctoberBlues89

Oh yeah, and if I may add a bit to today's games with soul: Bioshock, L.A. Noire, Tales of Symphony, and the list can go on.

  • @kaiserxblue Nobody gonna hate you :)

  • @kaiserxblue

F*#k yes, I'm a person of the 90's and I loved this game especially this game. This is the song that went through my mind after I finished reading "Dracula The Un-Dead" by Dacre Stoker & Ian Holt. There aren't a lot of games today that have soul like the 80's & 90's games.

  • @kaiserxblue hey dude, i agree with you... but it's related with the age, probably in the next decade people will cry by playing games from 2000-2010

  • @NildoRazoke yes in fact, I had a similiar discussion about cartoons, "old cartoons were better", they weren't better simply they remember your childhood, and the feelings you feel for a new cartoon are different between those of a new one...

  • @kaiserxblue i understand perfeclty what are you saying. in my opinion old video games since snes, mega drive till ps1, some games has a magic that ps2 and present days not has. yes, the quality of the actual games are nice but that magic no has like old games.

and the same happens with anime, the golden years of japan anima was 80-90.

saint seiya, hokutonoken, dragon ball, captain tsubasa, dodge danpei,etc..

  • @kaiserxblue your right I respect your comment...

speaking of megaman they didn't take him seriously! I mean in Marvel vs Capcom 3 and the latest Ultimate version he was not a playable character but just a cameo he was Capcom's signature soul and this is what they treat him?! I'm sticking to 1 and 2 anyway I give you a thumbs up

  • looking for this forever

  • Cynthia Harrell did this AND Snake Eater :O

    *dies*

  • This song won me over, but I have to admit that when I first heard it after beating the game I was just like "WTF!?"

  • @tsolfan69 Honestly, I was with the same expression hahahaha, gr8 song tho

  • What a bad day,my SOTN ps1 game took a crap,I've had it since it came out ,actually I rented it 14 years ago!!

  • This song was really a reward for been kickin monsters ,zombies, geting lost, etc. This song just is a relaxing reward.

  • greatest credits song ever

  • @md1980s please stab yourself in the throat

  • @BMBlasterMan dont be jealous sexy

  • @md1980s You have been marked a spam good sir, have a nice life. troll.

  • @md1980s mmm...im stroking myself again cutie

  • Symphony of the Night is like a movie when this song is played. It feels like watching like what it was playing.

  • @kingoniranger yup yup that's what it felt like to me, too.

  • 1 day well ALL be 1. PEACE!

  • irado muito bom a music do final

  • some prejudice of the music people like to listen. Never mind its not a gay song

  • I still play this game and go to my save files on PS2, head to the library just to listen to all the tracks especially this song the most.

  • I really like this song very much. T^T"

That since I cleared this game.

When credit's title has begun and the song is opened...

I almost want to cryed...I'm feeling be impressed with this game...

Oh man~. I want to cry again... T^T"

PS. Thanks for sharing. T^T"b I'm missing...my old day...

  • @katsukiakira MORDEDOR DE FRONHA DETECTADO!!!

  • anyone know any other Cynthia Harrell stuff apart from this and snake eater?????

  • I was so angry when I beat SOTN in Dracula X Chronicles and found out this song was taken out! It makes me appreciate my PS1 copy all the more.

  • I keep killing count Dracula just to hear this song over and over again when i was young.

Am i the only one who did this ?

  • @LaVitaNouva No, you wasn't... :)

  • man I was so bummed out when I finished this game I just didn't want it to end truly a beautiful game....truly the best castlevania game ever made

  • The Count is far better looking then that dhampir child...

  • das ist ein geiles Lied und einer der Gründe warum mir das Spiel so gut gefällt ^_^

  • Unless they changed it if you refuse to do the update for the XBLA version this song still plays at the end. At least it does when I beat it and I keep declining it's update.

  • Sembra Celine Dion XD

  • Just beat the game. Nice track. The game is full of nice tracks actually. It was my first Castlevania and I totally did not expect music like that in a 2D game.

Off to Lords of Shadow now!

  • really loved this song ^.~

  • me gustaria ver un Symphony of the Night 2 en 3D y en HD

  • I'm sure it's a great song if you like the style, but I just can't deal with hearing what sounds like porno music after beating a game about vampires...

  • i had to be 11 or so when i first played this and I love the song then and now i sing it to my kids. :)

  • I usually listen to Classical music, but I really enjoyed this. I think it's a beautiful song. I want this song... does anybody know where I can find it? Anything that you can tell me will help so much.

  • Love the song, but it does seem out of place in the game. The lyrics match the game, but the style just doesn't match the theme of the game.

    Still, awesome song

  • This is so fucking out of place in the game. Honestly. What the shit.

When it started playing my brain shriveled up and melted.

  • i have 208,5 % of the castle.... im lvl 65 and im getting a litttle bored of this game xDD but this is a good song to listen :P

  • Does the glimpse in castlevania SOTN purposely made to finish the game 196-200% or is it possible to complete the game without using it.

  • I like "Mournful Serenade" too, but this is better.

  • Sadly, they cut this out of the XBLA version.

  • @FaytLinegod

Ye, because some issue regarding Capitol Records and Cynthia Harrell, funny thing the song was released as single in Japan, and it was in the 1997 Grammy's pre-nomination list

  • @FaytLinegod actualy youcan stil hear it if you play it offline

  • @FaytLinegod its still there if you play offline with out the patch you can stil hear it

  • @FaytLinegod why the hell did they remove this song??? damn stupid records companies they always fucks users ! Go on crying about the "music piracy". Im glad ive never bought any music cd from most of your stupid artists !

  • @FaytLinegod good.

  • It's not just a love song. Listen to the lyrics, actually *listen* to them. The song is PERFECTLY about Alucard. How he never feels at peace, how he doesn't want to follow his father's path, and how he will ALWAYS aid the Belmonts in the name of friendship. The song is literally perfect for him, in every aspect.

  • i love this song i cant stop listening to it lol

  • This is the kind of song you raise your lighter to.

  • there´s no motive for all this sad music, every one know alucard dont ''sleep'' for eternity

  • This song never struck me as a love song. It always felt as just a slow jazz song, the American equivalent of the traditional 'Image song' that exists to sum up a character in music. *Shrugs* Still beautiful, a pity they took it out of the PSP version.

  • When I beat the game I was surprised too but I liked it it calmed me down because this game used to really stress me on some parts

  • FUUUU im playing the game for the first time on the psp game: dracula x chrolicles

  • Thank you konami for this great game , also this song is nice and make you feel very relaxing

I wish the new castlevania is nice too

  • What a beautiful song.

  • To me, this song is the BEST ending song among of all the Castlevania games...

  • 90s music FTW. Anyone else with me?

  • She also sang MGS3.

  • @ericard7 Who did?

  • Everytime I hear this song I am soo sad to have ended another game session of sotn it fits perfectly the last word of dracula to alucard as well as the words of Maria.

  • I miss this song in the Dracula X Chronicles version of SotN :(

  • @Ductos27 its not ow psp?fuck!im playing SOTN for the first time on the psp ¬¬

  • lyrics speak for Alucard.

  • @Muncheiy True

  • This song makes the game. I just beat it, and I was like wtf? it's very celene-dion-featuring-kenny-g-on-sax-early-90s-ish. The weirdness of it fits the game so well.

  • This song always kinda creeps me out lol

  • @MrPoobertluv Maybe it's because you're stupid?

  • the best song ever put in castlevania games.

  • I think this is the only castlevania track that's in a major key.

  • Hey thedragoonknight! **** YOU! This song is freaking amazing! SO KEEP YOUR OPINIONS TO YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!

  • Amazing song.

  • best song ever

  • i meen do they only sell sotn on psn in america or can't you get it anyware

  • It's hard to find, but if you look, you can find a copy of the disc. You're better off downloading it onto your PS3, though. Much easier and cheaper to obtain it that way.

  • If you own a copy and have a homebrew enabled PSP, you could always rip your own ISO and convert it to an eboot.

  • wait is this only on psn in america?

  • nope, it is in japanese version as well...

  • @richardba It's pretty strange, i played the XBLA version on release day, and the first time i beat the game this song popped up, but any other time afterwards was the new cretis' song.

  • well, after reading all those comments (hell yeah I read them all), I must admit it must be frustrating to some, to hear a "love" song in the end of the game (such a dark one uh?), but to me it was a reward, the first time I ever finished the game I wasn't expecting such a song and it didn't stick, but later on, whenever I'd bring up Castlevania back into my mind, this song would pop off and when I try to finish the game once again, I know that there is a great trophy waiting for me in the end.

  • @richardba

Honestly, I didn't mind the love song. It gave me a very relaxing feeling, and when I completed the game 196.00%, I felt like I had deserved it and I could lean back listening to the music, while I was thinking about all the fun I had exploring the whole game.

  • @Shurryy Lol I've completed the game with 200.60%

    xD

There is a secret chamber in the beginning of the game =x

Plus the outter parts of the castle =x

  • @Shurryy YOu did'nt take that comment's idea from the AVGN? >.> when he was talking about SOTN how he enjoys watching the ending scene when you beat castlevania.

  • @Hakudoshi19

What makes you think so? O.o

I'm an honest person you know... How rude. :(

  • @Shurryy :| It was just a question. Nothing serious to take over. Relax.

  • @Hakudoshi19

    I'm relaxed though. ;o

    And I forgive you. :D

  • @richardba Plus it shows that it doesn't have to be all gloom and doom.

  • theme official???????????????????

  • I finally got the final ending of all three... Now I can really feel the effects of this song. It was such a pleasure to play this game... T_T

  • there's a fifth ending.. you didnt know that hehehehe

  • @MrMaggot419

    You lie. Got proof? :]

  • Ugh... One thing is: I hate the ending I got. I ended the game way to early because I accidently killed Richter because I didn't know how to NOT kill him. I ended up defeating him getting the first ending...

One good thing though, is that I got to know about this song earlier than expected... :]

  • Love this song,it's so sweet and peaceful...^^

  • some faggot just gave thumbs down to every comment, lol.

but, for great justice, i thumbed up 'em.

  • Wind = Eric Lecarde :D

  • There's few & far between singers like Cynthia Harrell. We don't really recognize them anymore. "Thanks" to techno(crap) and modern music.

  • Truly..... amazing, this is the best ending theme ever! A theme worthy of a masterpiece like Castlevania: Symphony of the Night!

  • men! alucard is soo cool! i hope there will be a castlevania movie..the drictors must create a movie of this..!!! ^_^

  • The Best Castlevania Game ever! Me and my brothers finished this game when we were still kids. I'm still playing it now on PSP.. haha! you guys should try the naked alucard challenge!

  • This song was the great final surprise of this game back when I finished it in 1997.

A magnificent game, a magnificent songs performed by a magnificent singer.

  • so have youguys played castlevania:cod?
