You people that can't do it, you're not stupid or anything. The R is one of the most difficult sounds to pronounce, and one of the last a native speaker learns how to do. I don't think it can be easily accomplished in 5 minutes. For some maybe, but generally, no. Just keep trying, really.

I can roll my tongue. I always roll my tongue when I speak though. It's just my accent. I don't roll my tongue with 'or' 'ar' ir' 'ur' sounds though. Like lord, garden, stir, turn. I say those like an English person would say it. But with 'gr 'br' tr' words I roll the r's. eg. great, breakfast, try. I'm South African.

But my tongue's still kinda slow and clumsy, r's don't come out that smoothly sometimes, I'll keep working on it. LOL
