"Globalization thus implies that sovereignty is not only becoming weaker in reality, but that it needs to become weaker. States would be wise to weaken sovereignty in order to protect themselves" -Huckabees foreign advisor R.Haass
Who is the only candidate not telling the people what they think they want to hear? Who Will bring our troops home? Who will abolish the IRS? There's only one choice....
Money Rules! The Federal Reserve controls our money. For this reason they control our country. Let's have real change. Let's close down the Federal Reserve. Vote Ron Paul
"Well, I'm not sure that I support the troop surge, if that surge has to come from our Guard and Reserve troops, which have really been overly stretched."
That's not supporting the troops with a lot of vigor, Clemency Huck. You should have done better!
This baldface baptist liar just said in a TV debate tonight that he supported the surge before anyone else. he is the video where he says he does not. Liar, Liar, pants on fire!
No Paul, you've misinterpreted his comments. He merely qualified his support. There's a big difference. And he said, "I'm not so sure", which means he hadn't come to a final decision yet.
Misinterpreted? Is that what he calls it? This snaggle toothed faux-conservative has the nerve to get up there and start slamming men who supported a winning policy with lies. The troop surge came from the National Guard. Huckabee knew that was part of it. This is just as bad as Huckabee talking about his "tax cuts" when he sent the tax burden up 47%.
Why do you think every person has to have a religion? Are we still in the Middle Ages? Or a person can live his/her life without an allegiance to the Universal Church?
I'm a Presbyterian. And frankly, there are only two full-spectrum conservatives in this race: Mitt Romney or Fred Thompson. I'm fine with either one of them, though I prefer Romney.
She asked the difference and Mike stated his answer. Mike's position was to have more troops to begin with and he supported the surge so long as the civil soldiers were not overly used because of the strain not only to them, but their families and communities, such as employers. He supported using active duty soldiers.
I'm a Dem... but this guy (aside from social policy) isn't that bad... would Jesus really start wars w/ people who don't threaten us? Would Jesus refuse to heal someone b/c of a pre-existing condution?
Your right.. we should have just let Iraq invade Kuwait, it means nothing to us. Did Huckabee start the war? He supports the Schwartzkopf / Powell doctrine of war. As I recall, they were stopped by Daddy Bush short of achieving what they considered was their objective and Huckabee has criticized the Bush policies as being wrong. Also, several of Jesus's disciples were the heads of armies, so yeah - he just might.
You're comparing apples and oranges; the 1991 conflict and the 2003 invasion can't be compared. Dad Bush was right to stop when he did in 1991 or we would have gotten stuck in Iraq like we are now.
Huckabee forgot all about WWJD tonight! I can't believe how he so readily lied about this surge issue, and how he worked so hard to throw in the cheap shots and personal attacks that a few days ago in Iowa he was disavowing. What a loser.
It wasn't a lie. You can spin it anyway you want but he supported the surge of active duty military personnel but not National Guard and Reserves. These guys have jobs and are important members of their communities. They did not sign up for extended duties, hence why they only train once a month and during the summer.
I'm not a guardsman, but know enough of them to know that they all understand that they stand to be called up in times of war. Surely you're not saying Huck is so ignorant to not understand this. Also, no one is happy about the sad shape Clinton left the military in, w/ much lower than needed #'s, but it takes time to correct for that. It was irresponsible for Huck to first oppose the surge, & he proved himself a liar & a flip flopper at the debate tonight by acting like he always supported it.
The active duty military was already stretched to the point that the National Guard would be required for the troup surge. That was announced on multiple occasions leading up to the event taking place. Huckabee knew exactly what he was saying was that he de facto did not support the surge. Tonight, he lied. He lied about Romney, and he lied about his own position. That is not spin.

"full-spectrum conservatives"?
where did this colorful language come from?
you will notice that the "full-spectrum" is also displayed on the flag that the gay community has adopted.
are romney and thompson homosexuals? do they support a homosexual agenda?

Define "threaten". Jesus chooses not to heal people every single day.

do you have proof of this?
just wondering.

Sure. People who have asked Jesus to heal them who are still sick.

Huck's a freakin LIAR. He proves it again. He said in the debate tonight that he supported the troop surge when Romney did not.
Want to revise that Mike?
This guy has no shame (but his fawning masses of evangelicals will give him a pass on this too, I'm sure).
Unbelievable.
