Beautifully executed, yet, the mix of ENT and TNG LCARS at 2:16... it somehow disrupts the TMP feel. Plus, the UFP logo is clearly a 24th century one.
@eimb1999 Purist...just can't accept anything new. The problem with model work of those days is that when transfered to a Hi-Def video source, the imperfections in the compositing show up. You get all kinds of digital noise floating over the models and it takes away from the beautiful model work. With CGI, you get clean crisp clear details without any of that. The only drawback to CG is that sometimes you get motion blur between frames.
@ThrashTillDeath73 : What the hell are you talking about? I'm for anything new if it's GOOD. But CGI is not aways good. Sometimes it's every bit as bad as bad modelwork. Digital compositing, for example works much better than the old optical compositing did most of the time but that doesn't mean that everything new is good or anything old is bad. Recognize things for what they are instead of what you want them to be
BTW there is no "digital noise" in optical compositing.
again great job guys... want to challenge you w/something. recreate the battle scene between reliant an enterprise.I'm talking dialoge, the works.may have to go to paramount for this one but it'll be worth it.good luck.
Very Nicely Done the Enterprise is the Greatest ship in the fleet Love the Design and the swift looking pylons and Necells just way better than that shitty version in the new Movie
I'd love to see what you could do if you were given the budget of a full-feature film. If these little snippets are any indication, you'd be able to put some of the major studios to shame.
You honor me, sir, far more greatly than I deserve. My model of the Surak looks stunning under your expert skills. This is a beautiful video and I appreciate being even a small part of bringing it to life.
I am TRULY in awe of this very spectacle.

The original looks much better. Can't beat real models over the videogame look of CGI.
NBice attempt though. Oh, BTW the shape of the warp drive sled on your shuttle is incorrectly curved.

Good enough to be in an upgraded version of ST:TMP. JUST, loose the Horner music.

I love how you incorporated that beautiful overpass from the end of TMP and blended it seamlessly into the rendevous.
Clever credits in the open doorway too! :D

@sanderrodijk Agreed but then I was thinking, what if while they were doing the docking maneuever that they were running on manuevering thrusters.
