Live in Toronto, Canada - 18/07/1971. I am not certain of this but this is the quoted bootleg date and place on many sites. Sounds about right to me...small..ish audience but very practised Sabbath!
This is not the paris show people.. I've been watchin that since I was 15 and every little detail is imprinted in my brain.. listen to it closer retards.. kno it alls lol
people argue over the dumbest shit on here lol you guys sound like little ass nerdy teenagers arguing about comics or somethin.. ide say this is rare since i've never heard it before and i'm a huge sabbath fan.. so chill out cause it is rare
@itsmiketehdrummerguy Actually, you´re wrong. There´s a lot of people reading comic books. Otherwise they wouldn´t produce them anymore. But you´re right at the same time. This wasn´t a rehearsal. This is from the 1970 Paris gig.
This song seriously scares me, i remember listing to in my room a halloween night, pluged the amp in opened the windows added irie-ness of the night muahah.
Is it bad that I love the image that this song paints in my mind? One of my all time favorites. The first metal song ever written! The song that started it all. If they only knew back then what they had created. Long live the mighty sabbath! \m/
I can't help but hear the haunting-diminished chord-like structure of JT's "My God" all over this intro, too. I doubt a coincidence; either way it's all awesome.
I have a bootleg called "Live at the Filmore 1970". Whether it's from West or East, I don't know, there's no info besides title, year, and song titles. But I think this is from that. Plus, the Paris '70 show is available officially on "Past Lives".
all this is is black sabbath with a pretty much jam session at the start of it that was made in like the 1969-1970 while the band was just changed from earth they didnt no what to call it so wicked sabbath they decided to name it BALCK SABBTH LIVE ON!!!
without digging out my copy of The ozzman cometh..which was i'm going to say was released in 1997. I know the first track was a previously unreleased version of Black Sabbath (yeah the song)....This sure sounds like it to me but i haven't played that or really any cassette in 7-8 years i'd say. Right around the 7:40 area sounds like a tape fuck up to me..lol* Anyway if i'm right then this is not rare or a bootleg. If someone has the recording i speak of and cares to investigate please leme know
With trembling hands the young boy eagerly unbuttoned his mother's blouse and dove into her perfume scented boobs. As he sucked her pink nipples she reached down to jack off his virgin penis through unzipped pants.
Then with buckled knees the young boy moaned out loud in ecstasy as he laced her knuckles with strings of his sticky sperm.
Collapsing to the floor the young boy wept with guilt, joy and wonderment lusting for his mother who sheltered him eleven years from this carnal knowledge.
Officially released by whom, dipshit? What record label, representing Black Sabbath, and with Sabbath's consent, has released this? Just because it's been "released" in bootleg form doesn't make it an officially authorized release, asswipe.
I never said anything about the recording being rare. Who gives a fuck? You said it was "popular" and it "hasnt' been released before." I countered you by telling you the facts. It's not an officially released product. Meaning it's an UNRELEASED BOOTLEG, idtiot. Never officially released = unreleased.
If its everywhere, why did I not know of it until two days ago?
And -- if it's been on the radio, what station? Call letters and city, pelase, the frequency doesnt' matter beacuse onl locals will understand that. They should be reported to ASCAP and BMI for playing pirated music.
uhhh, dipshit, I never said it was RARE...someone else put those words in my mouth. Rare or not, it's UNRELEASED...it's not official product, it's unauthorized and it's a BOOTLEG... How is it that's so hard for anyone to understand?
alright maybe we're not geting past the samantics? but sure is an excellent version of the song and its sure gr8 its available for us all to hear !!! which is the important thing .
This is the San Francisco 11/22/1970 recording. The bootleg runs terribly fast (as you can hear), but there's speed corrected versions out there. If you can get a hold of one of those, it's a good listen.
Nevermind, I lied. This is the 'Toronto 7/18/1971' recording. Both shows play the same intro to 'Black Sabbath' and both are bootlegs that run fast w/o speed correction. Sorry for the confusion.

This is the only band that can make this sound quality sound like it was supposed to be this way. Love how fast its played at parts. And Oz's voice is insane.
I saw sabbath numerous times and I'll be honest to you Ozzy wasn't much of a frontman wasn't too sure of himself but after MOR he became the greatest frontman ever

1. even IF it wasn't a official release, it doesn't make it rare, since its EVERYWHERE and has even been played on the radio.
2. and it WAS released, it was released on a tape cassette a long time ago, which i used to have...
either way.
