  • San Fransisco 1970. It's the Filmore West show.

  • Fucking incredible

  • Live in Toronto, Canada - 18/07/1971. I am not certain of this but this is the quoted bootleg date and place on many sites. Sounds about right to me...small..ish audience but very practised Sabbath!

  • Woahh!

  • Inspiration to anyone thinking about this sort of stuff..

  • This is not the paris show people.. I've been watchin that since I was 15 and every little detail is imprinted in my brain.. listen to it closer retards.. kno it alls lol

  • Its a rehearsal? So y is he announcing wat song it is to the croud? And how would u kno that? Lol

  • people argue over the dumbest shit on here lol you guys sound like little ass nerdy teenagers arguing about comics or somethin.. ide say this is rare since i've never heard it before and i'm a huge sabbath fan.. so chill out cause it is rare

  • @dozie85

This is called a rehearsal fuck wit.

    It's what real bands do.

  • @dozie85 hey man i'm a nerdy teenager but i argue about sabbath no one reads comics anymore also if this was a rehearsal why would there be a crowd

  • @itsmiketehdrummerguy Actually, you´re wrong. There´s a lot of people reading comic books. Otherwise they wouldn´t produce them anymore. But you´re right at the same time. This wasn´t a rehearsal. This is from the 1970 Paris gig.

  • @FEVERPITCHROCKNROLL unless this is a separate recording than form the video this is not the paris 1970 gig

  • this definately is NOT from the paris gig that everyone now knows about.. i promise u its not and the pitch is sped up lol

  • this definately is NOT from the paris gig that everyone now knows about.. i promise u its not

  • I love the pic of Bill playing the First Act drums!

  • This song CEMENTED my eternal love for metal when I first heard it in 1987 when I was 11 years old.

  • This song seriously scares me, i remember listing to in my room a halloween night, pluged the amp in opened the windows added irie-ness of the night muahah.

  • ALL HAIL BLACK SABBATH;)

  • Is it bad that I love the image that this song paints in my mind? One of my all time favorites. The first metal song ever written! The song that started it all. If they only knew back then what they had created. Long live the mighty sabbath! \m/

  • @bassman0704

Actually they wrote Wicked World before they wrote this... but you're right... Long live the mighty sabbath! \m/

  • Ozzy like a 5 year old kid

  • I have seen a youtube video of this intro showing tony playing.

  • that's badass, yo

  • no other band has such a sound...enriched my entire life

  • what is wicked sabbat?

  • I can't help but hear the haunting-diminished chord-like structure of JT's "My God" all over this intro, too. I doubt a coincidence; either way it's all awesome.

  • satanists still have to tune their guitars sometimes.

  • awesome

  • I have a bootleg called "Live at the Filmore 1970". Whether it's from West or East, I don't know, there's no info besides title, year, and song titles. But I think this is from that. Plus, the Paris '70 show is available officially on "Past Lives".

  • Iommi = God

  • SABSALUTELY BEST YET !!!

  • wow awesome raw n evil...conjuring him

  • @djerwulfe Im positive it is, Im not trying to be a dick or anything.

  • People get confused because this is a bit too fast.. but its definitely Paris '70

  • sabbath...sabbath...sabbath...sabbath...sabbath...sabbath...sabbath...sabbath..

    *drunk post*

  • it's not a once in a lifetime recording either. Tony played this as the intro on every stop of the tour

  • Heh, look at bill ward's perkussion, in concert in 1978 on never say die tour he has kilograms of wood and brass :D

  • Not Rare Paris 1970 guy!!!!

  • this is not from paris, sounds like the concert from paris

  • yes its not rare!!!!!!!!

i found it at Monastiraki (athens)!

  • all this is is black sabbath with a pretty much jam session at the start of it that was made in like the 1969-1970 while the band was just changed from earth they didnt no what to call it so wicked sabbath they decided to name it BALCK SABBTH LIVE ON!!!

  • Yeah, I have this on a bootleg called 'war pigs" it is from France about 1970. Creepy shit.

  • yep i have the same one. on the back it was December 20, 1970. Same one ?

  • black sabath é foda

  • @miqueias388 Foda é sua mãe que pariu uma bosta como vc.

  • without digging out my copy of The ozzman cometh..which was i'm going to say was released in 1997. I know the first track was a previously unreleased version of Black Sabbath (yeah the song)....This sure sounds like it to me but i haven't played that or really any cassette in 7-8 years i'd say. Right around the 7:40 area sounds like a tape fuck up to me..lol* Anyway if i'm right then this is not rare or a bootleg. If someone has the recording i speak of and cares to investigate please leme know

  • this is taken from a BS gig in a french auditorium 1970

  • thanks for posting

  • I always just called this song Black Sabbath not wicked sabbath.

  • where can I find this bootlegg??

  • wicked sabbath for life dude hahahahahahahah love it how do they play so fuckin fast

  • does any 1 care that unreleased is spelled wrong!!!!!!!

  • why do u hear the talking in the backround it's anoyying the whole song talk talk talking let them play

  • what s a bootleg?

  • ozzys sueing iommi

  • I'm sure it's Sharon's idea.

  • True

  • when did this happen?

  • Ozzy was probobly so fucking high during this show! haha

  • Is this from the Black Sabbath Paris 1970 Dvd?

  • No. I think the Paris version is quite better, by the way. And it's a few seconds longer.

  • ozzy at his best!!

  • that ending is sick where it speeds up in this live version it sped up a lot

  • i thought unreleased meant that it hasn't been released before >.>

    This version is popular

FUCKASS and it has been for a long time

  • "Unreleased" means not commercially available. Bootlegs are not official releases. Therefore, this is "unreleased" FUCKASS...

  • this has been released officially you ASSHOLE

  • Officially released by whom, dipshit? What record label, representing Black Sabbath, and with Sabbath's consent, has released this? Just because it's been "released" in bootleg form doesn't make it an officially authorized release, asswipe.

Pick and choose your battles wisely, moron.

  • 1. even IF it wasn't a official release, it doesn't make it rare, since its EVERYWHERE and has even been played on the radio.

    2. and it WAS released, it was released on a tape cassette a long time ago, which i used to have...

    either way.

    1. it was released

    2. its not rare.

  • You just don't know when to quit, do you?

I never said anything about the recording being rare. Who gives a fuck? You said it was "popular" and it "hasnt' been released before." I countered you by telling you the facts. It's not an officially released product. Meaning it's an UNRELEASED BOOTLEG, idtiot. Never officially released = unreleased.

If its everywhere, why did I not know of it until two days ago?

  • And -- if it's been on the radio, what station? Call letters and city, pelase, the frequency doesnt' matter beacuse onl locals will understand that. They should be reported to ASCAP and BMI for playing pirated music.

  • you suck!!!!

  • uhhh blind man, if you look the title very carefully you will see the letters rare before the letters unrealsed!!

  • uhhh, dipshit, I never said it was RARE...someone else put those words in my mouth. Rare or not, it's UNRELEASED...it's not official product, it's unauthorized and it's a BOOTLEG... How is it that's so hard for anyone to understand?

  • alright maybe we're not geting past the samantics? but sure is an excellent version of the song and its sure gr8 its available for us all to hear !!! which is the important thing .

  • I gave u a thumbs up ...I have this version as well

  • thank you.

i guess people don't get that just because a youtube video says its rare it doesn't make it true XD

  • this is RARE

i am an EXPERT on BLACK SABUTH AND THIS IS RARE

  • no. it isn't.

  • That's awesome that you're an expert on "Black Sabuth", but this is "Black Sabbath". Totally different.

  • true sue

  • uhhh idiot!! i think you are palying with samantics here.

  • the song black sabbath was popular but never in this entirety.

  • SABBATH BLOODY SABBATH

  • i fucking love tony's guitar playing

  • the intro sounds a little to fast to be the paris recording, so maybe it is the belgium

  • This is the San Francisco 11/22/1970 recording. The bootleg runs terribly fast (as you can hear), but there's speed corrected versions out there. If you can get a hold of one of those, it's a good listen.

  • Nevermind, I lied. This is the 'Toronto 7/18/1971' recording. Both shows play the same intro to 'Black Sabbath' and both are bootlegs that run fast w/o speed correction. Sorry for the confusion.

  • lol wow you know alot

  • all fear the evil tritone!!

    long live sabbath!

  • Nice!!!

  • this is not urealesed, this is 18-07-1971, toronto canada

  • no it isent..

  • dude this is from their live performance in paris 1970

  • true!

  • WATH MY VIDEO RESPONCE IT MATCHES UP!

  • you fucker, it`s a different song!

  • I'm sorry but this doesn't sound like the Paris performance. Maybe Templer1066 is right about Belgium. I haven't heard that one.

  • you're right it's only played faster

  • and no it isent dude

  • I have a new video:

"Mythology live (Iommi & Ward - pre Black Sabbath)"

  • ozzy at his best!!

  • unreleased...

  • Fuckin awesome..

  • there would be no heavy metal if not for black sabbath

  • @557721 as I stated in another thread.... most see and consider them the forefathers of metal.... I esily agree.

  • @557721 it just wouldnt be the same

  • The best version of this intro is on the Live in Paris vid from 1970, people talk shit about that recording but it sounds good

  • the tape this originally came from was recorded slightly slower then the playback speed used here, this is why is sounds slightly fast.

You can clearly hear the slight upwards shift in Ozzy's vocals (his voice was actually low back then) plus the ending (guitar riff) is WAY faster then normal.

  • thanks for this one

  • Awsome iommi guitar at the beginning - so long since i have heard this...even the slightly out of tune bits are excellent!

  • this has to be very early in their career because tony quit playing that version of the intro to black sabbath very early on if i recall right

  • this is fucking incredible loving that intro man nice shit

  • holy shit they sound fucking awesome

  • wow

    ozzy actually taking lyrics seriously.

  • its amazing how many bootlegs exist from this band

  • When was this bootleg originally made? 1969, 1970, or 1971? Sounds like a recording from that early era. Keep 'em coming! Peace!

  • The studio version was recorded in late 69'...this must be from earlier that year or late 68'

  • wicked sabbath is a concert from 1971 it was in toronto

  • Thanks

  • no, its in 1970, belgium;) you can see it from the black sabbath fan Video I

  • The sounds still send chills down my spine. This is the best I've heard Ozzy's voice on this song. It's hard to believe it's been almost 40 years since these guys broke. One thing for certain, they don't come like this any more. LONG LIVE THE MASTERS!

  • This is the best bootleg i've heard of that song... and i've heard 2.

  • This is the only band that can make this sound quality sound like it was supposed to be this way. Love how fast its played at parts. And Oz's voice is insane.

  • Sorry I'll rephrase that Ozzy wasn't much of a frontman at first but after Master of Reality he was awesome

  • What was the difference between that and the post you said before? lol

  • I saw sabbath numerous times and I'll be honest to you Ozzy wasn't much of a frontman wasn't too sure of himself but after MOR he became the greatest frontman ever

  • great upload, sounds alot like the 1970 bootleg, The songs a solo to Black Sabbath
