I am fluent in English and Cantonese. A little bit of Fukinese and Mandarin. Learn five years of French. I have a Cuban gf who speaks Spanish. Us Chinese are just that good. (If you live, immigrated and travel - I'm sure ppl could pick up other languages if they really want.)

It's more natural for her to speak in Cantonese/English/Mandarin.

Yep, it's called "Wu" I think. My father's side of the family is from Shanghai and I always heard it growing up.

If you've seen "In The Mood For Love", the landlady speaks Shanghainese ALL throughout the movie while Maggie and Tony speak Cantonese.
