We're still working on heel with our sheltie puppy. I am seriously impressed at how well your dog stays at your heel, always sitting as soon as you stop. We hope to get there too. :)
Like all breeds they all have theyre own individual personalities so you have to take that into consideration when training but in general shelties learn very quickly I miss my sheltie he was soo well behaved
Shelties do not have to bark all the time. They are very clever. I have a 2 year old, she doesn't respond quite as quickly as these 2, but we're getting there!

haha, your boys back up just like Winnie! She tends to overcompensate and does this super-speed-back-up before I even take a step back. Cute!
